  1. Windows does not show the cause of BSOD by default any more, you'll need to see here for info on how to get it.
  2. The Stayputnik Mk2 is perfectly usable and a fine probe, It gives players the option to try flying without SAS, just as a Mk1 pod with no pilot does. Any player who finds this beyond their ability can just use a better probe or take a pilot on crewed flights, when they are later more skilled they still have the option to try flying craft without the benefit of SAS
  3. You're on an Apple Mac aren't you? Only Macs do this, it's a Mac created problem due to how they work and nothing to do with KSP. Try to close KSP down properly from the main menu and you should avoid this, otherwise you'll have to find the saved state for KSP and delete it, the support stickies will tell you how to do this. Where are the support stickies you may wonder, why, at the top of the forum area I just moved this too
  4. Just a simple thing, I rescued a Kerbal from low Kerbin orbit, you can just imagine his happiness at being picked up when the rescue craft appears in his suit lights

  7. Because they have to go somewhere, and RB is where you find people making craft, SE is where you find people posting their pride and joy finished craft. You don't really want SE full of craft requests do you?
  8. If the contract says it has to be a new craft built for the agency then yes, it needs to be a new vessel
  9. There's a hidden grid that parts snap to, but you can change between absolute and local mode with "F". This is how the editor works now
  10. Physics was disabled between parts of the same vessel back in 0.18.....
  11. The textures are there but the .tga loader is bugged, if you have an art program you can try loading them and resaving them with the same name.
  12. It's the new radial/mirror symmetry thing, if it's not placing parts the way you want just press "R"
  13. Make sure you have crew, there is a crew tab at the top where you can put crew into the pod, though you may have found a way to break the tutorial if you deleted your first pod and chose another.

Hi turkwinif, cool avatar btw Either you're going the wrong way on your orbit or you lack a part, check the ascending/descending nodes and make sure they don't say 180 degrees, if they to, you're backwards. Also make sure you have a solar panel or RTG, batteries alone is not good enough (I have asked Arsonide to change this, unfortunately launch clamps count as a supply so we get the contracts early). Also make sure the contract didn't ask for a materials bay or similar which you forgot, I have been caught out that way as well.
  17. Hmm that's weird, your link also shows be I'm not authorised but I just tested the download and it works. It can't be the browser or the PC if you've tried others, but have you tried a friends PC on a different ISP ? Most likely though it's an issue with your account, and for that you can try sending a PM to Rowsdower, the community manager.
  18. Mini SAS? Do you mean the reaction wheel? That does not have SAS. You'll need a pilot in your Mk1 cockpit or a probe core with SAS in career mode Oh and both probes and reaction wheels need electric charge, check your resource tab in the top right.
  19. You can change modes with Alt+Enter, and you can hide your taskbar in Windows, try right clicking on it
  20. Hi Dan, do you have a pilot Kerbal flying the craft? Click the Crew tab in the VAB to change crews, and if you do not have a spare pilot go to the Astronaut Complex and hire another If it's a probe craft, make sure you use a probe that has SAS. There's no restrictions in sandbox by the way.
  21. There's an invisible grid that parts snap to, so when you see your part move away from its starting point it's because it's snapping to the nearest grid point.
