How to make a balanced spaceplane?
hebdomad replied to Anomalous_Matter's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I\'m having the same issues. The landing gear feels like they are paper thin, and the wings don\'t seem to help control roll at all... Won\'t stop me from trying to make a shuttle... no matter how flimsy and unstable the slight dynamics are. I\'ll still need to use a joystick if I ever want to try fly home though.... -
[move] ??? EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEee 8) [/move] I\'ll plan my mission for tonight then.

There there, its not that bad. At least your back...

Minmus? Where in Kerbal is that? Does the karaken live there?

A lot of things where ment to ruin man kinds social skills and society at large. Writing, rhetoric, books, the printing press, radio, television, theater, film, paperback novles, crossword puzzles, video games, the internet, the telephone, telegrams, pornography, silent reading and even cars and skateboards...

The observable universe is a finite space thanks to the speed of light. Who knows what\'s beyond what we can see... What the site is, is everything to scale to the KNOWN universe (everything we can \'see\')...

You would have to sign a non-discloser agreement and be a good programmer for me to tell you my money making ideas Most good apps are calculators for different jobs. Unit conversions, ballistic, and navigational calculations ect.

http://scaleofuniverse.com/ This is a great site for showing the scale of the universe. Try not to feel to insignificant look at it... or the next time you look at the night sky.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/06/16/urban_aero_say_mule_test_imminent/ Militarys around the would seem to want them badly. ^this is one that Israel have been working on for a while now...

I got the collectors edition and thought it was an amazing game... if it was not for the over zealous DRM and the game crashing every 5 seconds I could have played it for more than a hour... No sarcasm here... 8) I might reinstall it one day... maybe.

Your aircraft carrier already has to fly to get to the water anyway! This thing is completely nuts! Can\'t wait to see what you make next!

http://youtu.be/uEWuP7bgqr8 30 seconds to mars, Fallen. Heck any 30 seconds to mars is awesome for KSP. Check them out I say

Live stream is up for testing... (EDIT) Live stream is over

I will be answering as many questions as possible throughout the lessons. Expect the first trail lesson to start some time next week.

I was considering making it more of a flying school ('come fly with me' series/class) for the newbies in the community, with some more advanced/fun tutorials in the future. Learning how to get into orbit, how to change orbits, land on the mun, rondevu with other ships in orbit etc. I\'ll also throw in a few fun days where we just mess around with stuff. (Maybe some parachute-less Kerbin landings, or flying some other crazy rockets) I\'ll try write up the subject (what people will learn in each class) and schedule (when people in different timezones can be online) and post it on the forum at a later date. In the mean time I\'ll do some trial runs which your welcome to join in on. I\'ll post the dates, times, and links to the stream at a later date in this thread. When the classes start, I\'ll post it as a new topic.

KSP covered on ABC kids gamer TV show in Australia!
hebdomad replied to Capt'n Skunky's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I would like to see the Good Game team achieve orbit though... Although I do love their enthusiasm for 'more boosters'.... 8) -
Thanks everyone who dropped buy. Although it was not at the quality I wanted I hoped some people learned something. I don\'t plan on any more streams in the future, I will focus on my youtube channel instead... for now anyway. ------------ Old news---------------------- Next stream will be on this Saturday, 12 Noon Greenwich time (London time). We will run though how to get into orbit. Followed by a landing on the mun. Remember to sign up to twich TV so you can chat! http://www.twitch.tv/hebdomad So I was considering live streaming a few missions in Kerbal Space Program as apart of my Frey into new media. Would anyone watch the stream? If so, What missions would you be interested in seeing? What other aspects would you like to see? (ship sharing etc)

The one thing I hope people remember this day, is that there is no glory in war. Only death and destruction. Lest we forget those who died defending their home lands on all sides of conflict. Whether it was at home or abroad. Such is the insanity of war.

Not sure if this is a double post but I\'ve found this great show on Youtube about the early days of space flight. Makes everyone\'s early experiences with Kerbal Space Program rather familiar... http://www.youtube.com/user/SpaceDocumentaries

Skycrane delivered Münar rover on the Mün
hebdomad replied to b0bl00i's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
The main issue I had is not delivering a rover (that can even return to Kebin) to the Mun, but trying not to go too fast once I\'ve landed. It can become painfully slow to travel across the surface at 10m/s when your used to moving at ten to a thousand times that speed.... It\'s why when it comes to exploring the Mun, I\'ve stuck to long endurance landers rather than rovers. -
For all those who can\'t get their rocket into orbit. Don\'t worry guys, nor can the North Koreans. Heck back in the day the USSR and the USA had the same issues...

AlternNocturn, there are a few useful tutorials on the web but the key point is patience! Some times orbital rendezvous are like crawling to your objective that\'s on the other side of the planet at times. Nice work Lickstaph! I dare you to build a rocket to de-orbit your space station!
