  1. To be fair, us console players have had it extra bad. I mean, I have been around here long enough to know that Squad communicates more with the PC modding community than it does with the console players. Squad is already on 1.3 for PC users, with no word of if or when that might come to console as well. Please don't pretend like PC users get ignored as much as we do. We have had a broken game for 9 months now after all. Our whole experience with KSP and Squad has been negative. We have seen plenty of communication and plenty of updates between Squad and PC players in that time. The general feeling has been that Squad and a lot of the community look upon us console players with some sort of contempt.
  2. That does sound ideal, but I don't think that's going to happen. Console players are dealing with corrupted save issues with the Flying Tiger port that weren't present on PC. To my understanding, Blitworks is not working on fixing corrupted saves from Flying Tiger's port, but rather just porting 1.2. The PC iterations probably work different because Squad is actually working on those themselves. I could be wrong here. I would be happily surprised if our saves will carry over, but I'm not holding my breath. Squad doesn't communicate too well with us console players, and they have taken a real hands-off approach to the console version. We have still not been told if the new 'Making History' expansion will ever be coming to console. They don't answer us when we ask questions and we are just left to speculate. I'm not even sure what save anybody on console would really want to carry over anyway. I plan on starting a whole new career and building all new crafts with antennae and such.
  3. It is highly unlikely that our corrupted saves will work with 1.2 when it comes out. Blitworks is porting 1.2 from scratch, not as an update to 1.1.3. They are not working off of anything that FTE did, so I do not see how they would be compatible. I wouldn't get your hopes up.
  4. I think that the console players are just looking for some more info here. As another user already said, Blitworks is just telling us to ask SQUAD about the update. Having people who don't work for SQUAD making excuses for why the game we paid for isn't working properly isn't helping, and it just creates these petty arguments. If you are going to claim that updates for consoles cost 5 figures or that you know SQUAD's budget, some sources would be nice for these so called "facts". Here is an actual fact: there are plenty of other PC games that port to console. How much time, resources, and money go into that vary drastically. Since SQUAD and Blitworks would be the only ones who really know these details, and since Blitworks just tells us to ask SQUAD anytime they are asked about the update, it seems that we are waiting on SQUAD to give us more info. This is the same situation we have been in for 9 months. Since SQUAD doesn't give us updates about progress on the console version very often, except for an occasional mention in the devnotes, it is understandable that people who have paid full price for a game that doesn't work properly are growing impatient and feeling ignored. The class action comments are ridiculous, but I understand their frustration.
  5. I am pretty sure they are close to releasing 1.2 on console guys. Squad just spoke about the console update in Friday's devnotes. Also, I found this on Blitworks twitter feed: To me that sounds like they have submitted some builds to SQUAD that seem pretty close to finished. Probably just testing for bugs and optimizing the UI and such. The devnotes seem to confirm that.
  6. Click the left analog stick to switch to the cursor. Then press B on the command module and it should get you some options there, one of them being to do a crew report. You can do one on the launch pad. In flight on the xbox one is a little harder because the SAS gets turned off when you use the cursor but it is possible, just easier to do landed, in orbit, or in stable flight.
  7. Great news about the console build! Really looking forward to getting back into this game.
  8. Wow! This sounds awesome! Any chance we will see this content on consoles?
  9. try pressing down the left analog stick to take control of the ship when on the launch pad. it sounds like you are in cursor mode. if you can see a mouse cursor, press down the left analog. hope that helps.
  10. Finally some good news. Thanks for the update Squad.
  11. Well look what's on the #1 spot on the Xbox One subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/5h68b5/psa_do_not_buy_kerbal_space_program/
  12. I did this a while ago, but there are so many positive reviews on the marketplace that the negative reviews just get buried. I saw a couple other bad reviews warning people of this buggy mess, but the reviews are just too mixed. There actually seems to be more positive than negative reviews. The game is going to be on sale in Xbox's Black Friday sale (33% off) soon, so I am sure that they will end up selling even more copies of this broken mess before they fix it. For those of us who paid full price for this unfinished game, who believed Squad when they said they would come out with a timely fix, who have been denied refunds by Microsoft and Sony, and have been ignored by Squad and Flying Tiger, it's just another slap in the face. We should really expect the worst from these people at this point. Remember when Squad said that they would have to prove themselves to us? Hahaha.
  13. I have asked Microsoft for a refund three times now with no success. Not sure what you told them, but I have told them about the game breaking issues and they seem very indifferent to the situation. I have also never asked for a refund for a video game, but that didn't seem to matter to them. The Microsoft support wasn't even aware that there was an issue with the game. I asked them if there was a record of people reporting the game breaking bugs, and they said no. That is clearly not true, because I have asked them for a refund because of this game breaking save issue for months now. When they told me I couldn't get a refund, I asked them to contact the developer and press them about fixing the issue, which I assume they never did. Sony hasn't done anything about the broken KSP either. Nobody seems to care anymore, especially the people who already made money on this shady transaction. They don't want to do the right, honest thing and issue refunds, because that would mean making less money. I would be surprised if this game ever gets "finished" on console. I saw it as they had 2 options: 1. Fix the game 2. Issue refunds But Squad and Flying Tiger came up with a third option: Don't fix the game or issue refunds. After 5 months, they have had plenty of time to do the "right" thing. If they were going to fix the game or issue refunds, they would have done it by now. To be honest, whatever they do short of issuing refunds wouldn't be enough for me. I have no interest in playing this game on console any more. I deleted KSP off my hard drive a couple weeks ago. What a disappointment this game turned out to be. I was looking forward to this game for over a year, and it turned out to be the worst game I have played in a long time. Good job Squad.
  14. Another week has gone by with no word about anything related to the broken console version of KSP from Squad or Flying Tiger. That's 4 months now. Why do they feel no obligation to communicate with us about the broken product they sold us? Maybe if they quit behaving cowardly and ashamed, they might find the courage and honesty to communicate with their paying customers about the broken product they sold us. If they are doing their "best" and "all they can" to fix the problem, then they should find no issues in communicating that to us. Their silence only leads us to believe the opposite, that they aren't doing all they can, and that they have incompetent people trying to solve the problem that those very people created in the first place.
  15. That would be really cool if Squad were to do something like that. Even if it didn't run on my old computer, it still would be appreciated, and a nice gesture. It probably would have gone more to "prove themselves to us" than just ignoring this whole debacle. Good idea. I hope they are listening.
  16. Yeah. Don't you dare ask about your broken game @RW1984! It will be fixed when it's fixed! What did you expect? A working game? C'mon. A refund? Get outta here! You should be happy to pay full price to play a broken, buggy, cheap console port. Getting disrespected and ignored is just an added bonus! What were we thinking expecting this game to work? I think we are the ones to blame here.
  17. Thanks for your reply. I did not know that PC players were affected negatively by the console port. I thought if anything, the port would be good for those running KSP on lower end PC's. I was also unaware that there were changes made to the game to prepare for the ports. My impression was that they just sent an older version to Flying Tiger to port. I'm struggling to understand how PC players had their game compromised because of the console port, so if you could shed some light, that would be great. I am certainly not blaming PC users like you say. That's just ridiculous. I never said anything like that, so I am not sure where you got that idea. Scapegoat? What? I was responding to your assertion that console players were not being neglected or that somehow we were being treated the same way as PC users. It is very clear from where I sit that the console version of KSP is being neglected, and that it has been for a while now. The devnotes do need to include some updates about what is happening with the console version, for their console customers sake. They could even have Flying Tiger do a separate "console devnotes", which I have already suggested. That seems like it would be easy because Squad wouldn't even have to do anything. But hearing nothing week after week, and month after month is not acceptable. We paid full price for this game and have certain expectations about a working product. When all we get is silence from Squad and Flying Tiger, it just leads us to expect the worst out of them. I also don't know that Squad and Flying Tiger have the competence or the will to solve these issues. So far it seems like they don't. If Squad are supposed to be proving themselves to us like they said, all they are proving is that they are not to be trusted.
  18. Neglect: fail to care for properly. Sorry, but I will have to disagree with you here. For one, your experience is as a PC user. So, I am not sure why you are telling us console users that "Squad isn't favoring PC users," and that "consoles are not being neglected." It doesn't sound like you have much experience with KSP on console. Also, the save corruption isn't the only issue. As if the broken release wasn't bad enough, Squad just screwed over it's console users with it's 1.2 release. No where was there any word that 1.2 releasing on the 11th of this month would be for PC only, and us console users had to find out on release day that we weren't going to see 1.2, as Squad just ignored our questions. So yeah, 1.2 news might pertinent to consoles if it was pertinent to consoles, but it's not. KSP on console is currently 1.1.0, and there is currently no expected release of 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, let alone 1.2 on console. We are still waiting 4 months for a fix for one game breaking issue. I think you might have some misconceptions about KSP on console.
  19. Sorry to hear that. We all are feeling pretty discouraged at this point. Every week there are new people in here, asking the same questions about the broken console release, and Squad just ignores us or gives us some vague non-answer like "soon" or "Flying Tiger is working on a patch." They said they would have to prove themselves to us, which is laughable at this point. All they are proving is that they are willing to ignore their customers and act unprofessional. It is deceiving that they would release a broken, buggy game into the marketplace on consoles, and not be honest about it being a work in progress and generally unfinished. There is an early access program on Xbox One and they could have used that to develop their game for console and iron out all the bugs and such. That's what it is there for, for games like KSP on console. The whole KSP experience on console has been my worst experience with a video game so far. It was the only time I have asked for a refund, and Microsoft denied me, twice, even though the game is clearly broken. Squad obviously doesn't have the honesty or courage to issue refunds to customers that feel ripped off by them. They would rather ignore us and keep the money. It's going to fund their aspirations of becoming music producers after all. Hahaha. What a sham. How many months or years is this going to take you to fix Squad?
  20. KSP is a "two star game" to me, and I can see pretty clearly that it relies on mods from the community for continued enjoyment for the majority of users. I own the game on console, so I have had a wholly different experience with KSP and Squad than those on PC, especially those that bought the game in early access. Squad has even acknowledged that they messed up with the console version and would have to prove themselves to us, which they have yet to do. So, on the one hand, I get why some of you guys are trying to defend Squad and KSP, because you have had a different, positive experience with the game and with Squad devs. But I am going to base my opinion of this game and of Squad on my own experience with the game and on my own experience getting ignored by the Squad devs. You see, I don't go around to threads that are talking about how great KSP is and tell them how ridiculous they are because I have had a different experience than them. Anyway, I feel like you are kind of being genuine when you say sorry if you've offended me, so I am going to stop. I am sorry if I come across so hostile, because I'm not. I'm just constantly finding myself on the defensive in this forum. It's nothing personal. .
  21. Not quite sure why you decided to respond here. Didn't get enough of harassing console players in the devnotes thread? You saw people trying to put me down in here and you thought you would join them? Classic. What's with so many people being so condescending and patronizing on here? If the point of you posting was to annoy me and confuse me, you have succeeded. Putting you on the list of people to not respond to. That list is getting quite long now. I realize that you think that I was saying that there shouldn't be mods in KSP, probably from the title. Maybe read the post next time to understand the context before you respond to what you think I said.
  22. You didn't prove me wrong, you just wanted to be condescending, rude, and point out that I said the word "deceiving"? I said the word deceiving, not deception. Those are different words, since you like being petty so much. Guess you don't like being proven wrong, huh? This is where I stop responding to your posts. There is a reason I didn't respond to your first one.
  23. I never said it was sinister. I was saying that it was a cheap, lazy way to develop a game, and that it shows in the "finished" product. I am not impressed is what I am saying. Good idea for a game, but a bad game and an even worse port to console. Those sentences are not at odds. I still am not sure why you want a citation. If you are just here to argue or to try and put me down, just go away please.
  24. Mods were a way for them to develop the game as cheap as possible. It shows in the "finished" product. You are just trying to argue and you don't even understand my point, and I certainly do not want to deal with condescending people on the internet like you. Go bug someone else. What was your point in responding to this post even? You trying to help me out here or just put me down buddy? So yeah, I wanted KSP to be better, look better, run better. Not a different game like you say. You seem to have a problem with that though. Just go away please. I am not going to respond to you anymore. Stop pestering me.
  25. The point was actually that a lot of the mods should be in the base game, not that mods should be on console. Thanks.
