  1. I own all of those games so I don't really need to fact check. I was going on actual experience. All of those games release updates across multiple platforms within a week at best, or a month at most. That is just the way it is. Not looking to argue with you, bud.
  2. Elite: Dangerous, Ark: Survival Evolved, Prison Architect, Subnautica, Everspace, and Rocket League are all PC games that came to console and all release updates across multiple platforms, within a week at best, or a month at most. Not sure where you get your information, but contrary to what you might think, it has become standard for developers who have games on multiple platforms to release updates as close together as possible.
  3. Unfortunately, I am fairly certain that the save issue is the only thing that is getting fixed on Xbox One with this patch. It is pretty disappointing considering we have been waiting two and a half months and it is not the only issue that needs patching. What makes it even worse is that all of this should have been patched/fixed before the game was even released on console. Now we are stuck in this cycle of perpetual delays. Any actual patch for console has been delayed because of the game breaking corrupted save issue. Instead of working on fixing bugs, Flying Tiger is still working on fixing the PS4 versions save/crash issue. And now 1.2 is delayed on console because Flying Tiger is still working on 1.1.3 on console, which is nowhere near finished. Ugh.
  4. @Red Iron Crown, the patch coming out on console isn't 1.2 is it? That would be amazing, but I don't think that's the case. I think the patch is just addressing the save issue. The reason I was asking is because there has been so much talk about 1.2 and how good it is, and there has been no word from Squad about when 1.2 might actually come to console.
  5. I don't play KSP anymore. The broken, buggy experience ruined it for me. Waiting two and a half months didn't help. I am now stuck with KSP on console because they will not refund me. And yeah, I have kind of lost interest in 1.1.3 with no mods on console. You seem to be upset by that. The console version better get caught up with the PC version because that is the way it works, not just for KSP, but for all games that come from Steam (or PC in general). Games that release updates across multiple platforms usually do so within a week, or at the most a month. Dude, I don't know why you are trying to be so condescending, but it is not welcome and you are just coming across as rude. I love space, and will probably buy most space themed games that come out. KSP has been my worst experience with a game so far, so please just back off. Not looking to argue.
  6. Any news on 1.2 on console yet or are we still ignoring that subject?
  7. I don't even really care about the 1.1.3 "patch" anymore. Too little too late. When are consoles going to see 1.2? Are we console players supposed to be excited that we can now play an older, buggy, inferior version of KSP on console that we paid for two and a half months ago? I for one am not. So while PC players talk about and play 1.2, we are still left with this mess? Hey Squad, when do you plan on bringing 1.2 to console? When are you going to get the consoles caught up with the PC version? Why did I have to pay full price for this mess? Why do you refuse to answer simple questions?
  8. Being condescending, rude, and disrespectful to us isn't going to get you very far, or make KSP on console any more positive or playable. You have even tried to moderate your own thread by trying to tell people what they can and cannot say. Classic. I don't feel belittled by you. I recognize that you are trying to belittle me, but it just comes across as pathetic. It seems that you being passive aggressive on the internet just isn't that threatening. Considering you don't even own KSP on console, I have no idea where this is coming from.
  9. I find it kind of interesting that you want such positive feedback from console players while at the same time you act so negatively towards us. You are not trying to have an actual discussion here. You are really just trying to argue with us. Maybe you could read through some of what you wrote and think about how you would feel if some dude on the internet was talking to you like that. People don't like being talked down to, plain and simple. If what you are trying to do is help the 'community' see the 'positives of console ksp' then maybe you should be pressing Squad and Flying Tiger for a working game. Hostility towards console customers sure isn't going to show us any positives of KSP. All it shows us is that you think you are better than us for some reason. Also, you can just google 'off-base' or 'affliction' if you are confused about their meaning.
  10. So you would like us to speak positively about a game that most of us currently can't play? Am I missing something? You seem a little off-base, especially considering that you don't suffer the same afflictions that we on console do. The fact that we can't play the game IS relevant to this discussion, despite what you might think. A better time to ask this question would be when the game is in a functional state on console. It seems odd to ask this when the game is unplayable for so many people, and when there is currently a lot of frustration surrounding the console release.
  11. The OP is asking a loaded question. KSP is not a different game on console. It is just an older port currently, and a broken one at that. Talking about orbiting, building, or landing on the Mun for the first time has nothing to do with consoles specifically. So I guess the OP would just like console users to speak positively about KSP, even though they have had a negative experience with the console version. Us console players might have more positive things to say about the game if the console version had been better.
  12. Not on console. It started out at $30 US on Xbox One and it is currently the same price. I bought the game day one when it released into early access. Not looking to argue about it really. I think that is the second person trying to price check me on that. The price might have been different on PC. I think it might have been the first game released into the Xbox One preview program actually. Elite dangerous core has always been $30 on console, sorry.
  13. That's too bad. I also haven't been able to play in over a month. I don't think you will have much luck getting a refund though. Microsoft wouldn't give me a refund after asking twice. It looks like we are stuck waiting for a fix. People asking for refunds hasn't seemed to matter at all.
  14. I sure hope you are right. It is just kind of hard for me to be optimistic at this point.
  15. @passinglurker, thanks for the reply. Most of those games are in early access because that has proven itself a good model for smaller developers to bring their games to console. Me comparing KSP to those other games was simply showing that smaller developers don't have to behave like Squad, and usually don't. If we are being real here, KSP on console belongs in early access. It is plagued with bugs and looks nowhere near finished. Those early access games I mentioned are in more of a "finished" state than KSP on console is. And not only are they cheaper, they are more honest about the "finished" state of their products. Comparing early access games to early access games (which KSP was) doesn't seem that far off to me. The fact that it didn't release as early access on console is just deceptive. For anyone who has played it on console, the game is far from being "finished." Regardless, KSP still has to compete with those games in the marketplace. Squad probably could have learned a lot from the development of those games. Elite Dangerous is $30 btw, the Horizons DLC which I do not own is also $30, which is probably why you thought it was $60. Recently, you could get both on sale for $35 though, and a lot of people did. That being said, I do have some sympathy for Squad. I understand that they have had a lot of turnover and that maybe some of the people responsible for some of this mess aren't even around anymore. That leaves the new people to take a lot of heat for stuff they aren't even responsible for, which isn't right. Flying Tiger is still in charge of the console port though, and that doesn't give me any confidence that things will be different for 1.2 on console. Sending your game to a third party to get ported usually doesn't work out too well. It seems like we are seeing more bad PC and console ports than ever before. Everything about this mess seems like it could have been avoided.
  16. I was actually looking for an answer here. It took Flying Tiger over a year to port an older version of KSP to console. They haven't even started working on 1.2 for console yet because they are busy fixing their game breaking mistakes from 1.1.3. It certainly doesn't look like we will be seeing 1.2 on console anytime "soon." Question all you want. It is in fact $30, and it is in fact made by Frontier Developments, a smaller development team.
  17. There are plenty of smaller companies that release updates across multiple platforms relatively close together, mostly within a month. I can give you lots of examples: Elite Dangerous, Subnautica, Rocket League, Prison Architect, Ark: Survival Evolved, The Long Dark, etc.. Squad could have developed KSP for console in house like everyone else, but they chose not to. Also, all of those games I mentioned cost less than KSP on console, so if Squad is such a smaller company and doesn't have the resources, why are they charging $40 for this game on console? Elite Dangerous: $30, Subnautica: $20, Rocket League: $20, Prison Architect: $30, Ark: Survival Evolved: $35, The Long Dark: $20, We Happy Few: $30. All cheaper games from small developers who give timely updates across multiple platforms and communicate with their customers.
  18. Any news on 1.2 on console? Has FT even started on that yet or are they still busy trying to fix their mistakes? How long until the console version is caught up with the PC version? How far apart are they? When can console players expect to see 1.2? A month? 6 months? A year? Most games try to release updates across multiple platforms pretty close together, usually within a week, or at the most a month.
  19. Just read that pacman nonsense in the dev notes thread. That sucks man. They are the ones who said that they weren't going to release it until it was "perfect." Now they are saying that a perfect game is impossible. What a mess. Also, I don't think they are even sorry, so why would they apologize? Apologizing would be admitting that they did something wrong, and they aren't going to do that. They are just going to point the finger at FT, and tell us to be patient and wait. If anything, they are going to blame us for buying the game.
  20. I am guessing that they only fixed the save corruption issue. Pretty lame, but at this point, expected. I think I am kind of over this game at this point. I am very unimpressed and underwhelmed. Too little too late. I can see that there is potential in the game, but I am not willing to go through the pains of an early access game when I paid full price. 1.2 is probably going to come out on console sometime next year. I seriously loathe this game. I wish Squad would have just given me my money back.
  21. Well, it looks like they are submitting an xbox one patch for certification this week. Still working on the playstation patch though. I am interested to see what exactly they are patching besides the save corruption.
  22. Wow. I think I have seen that before, but it still sucks to read. He is right. KSP would be a difficult game to port successfully for a competent company, let alone Flying Tiger. I don't know what Squad saw in Flying Tiger's history or reputation that would make them think that they would do a good job with their game. I don't know what they thought they were getting away with actually. It is clear at this point that Squad was trying to maximize profits while putting the real costs onto their customers. For as much criticism as big AAA companies like EA get, at least they have the sense to fire a company like Flying Tiger, and at least they have better customer support.
  23. For those of us who missed out on a refund because we were thinking that Squad would fix this in a timely matter, this has been just a slap in the face. We basically got punished for trusting Squad. Squad is still selling that old, broken game for full price on the Xbox and Playstation marketplace too. It is deceptive at best. Downright dishonest if you ask me. They are certainly not acting with any respect or regard for their console customers. We deserve more than an apology. I want my money back. We should never trust greedy, incompetent advertising companies to make good video games. Just because they had a good idea for a game doesn't mean they could bring that idea to fruition. "With the success of KSP, Squad is starting to branch out into other areas, such as record-producing, and away from pure marketing." So now we all know to steer clear of any Squad record label. What a joke. Fix your broken game before you run off and start playing record producer.
