  1. Depends on the stats for the engine. Could you post the specific impulse/weight/thrust etc?
  2. Autostrut has a few options. It can connect to the heaviest part, grandparent part, or root part. It basically acts as a normal strut that connects to the middle (from what i can gather its the middle not the CoM) of the selected part, wiht no mass, drag, and doesn't increase part count. I'm not 100% sure of the exact science behind it but it's the superior brand of space-grade duct tape, clearly.
  3. Looks amazing, as always, Astronomer. Can't wait to stare at this longingly and dream of a day when your pack won't melt my PC.
  4. Running 1.2 official release of both MM and KSP. This darn cat is still showing up. Maybe we can play a rebranded version of duck hunt with it?
  5. Vernor Engines got a sound effect/plume effect. In general RCS got sounds and plumes. Landing Leg sound effects. Crickets at night time. The improved SAS (does this count? Haven't seen many people talk about it). Flags being planted now give credit to multiple Kerbals Inbuilt 'hyperedit' for helping to test craft instead of having to muck about with persistance files New cheat engine makes looking at the heat/aerodynamic forces tonnes easier The new hack gravity for testing craft Brown paper packages tied up in string. These are a few of my favourite things.
  6. Is your tracking station intact? If it was destroyed by debris it may not be functioning.
  7. I hope everythings alright on your end. A huge fan of this series (which I haven't said yet). Stay safe, and I hope whoever it is recovers well.
  8. Trust me and my garbled "I wrote this without coffee whilst sleep deprived' English skills to make it sound like a KSP contract. Guess that's what I get for not paying attention huh? I'll clean this mess of a post up sometime so people can understand just what happened.
  9. For some timezones that's probably what's going to happen. Right now its 9:16 where I am. Might play some Elite:Dangerous before I head to bed but its certainly not going to be a KSP night for me. :c
  10. A fun little thing that happened today in KSP. So a routine mission to put 4 Kerbals into my Tenebris Orbital Science Station (Erratic Rotation) or 'TOSSER'. Originally it was just TOSS but one of our interns dropped his drink on a blueprint and it resulted in a strange glitch which causes some RCS jets to fire, spinning the craft around whenever the RCS is activated. We had fun today when we almost got said mission cancelled. The Crew onboard TOSSER were in desperate need for supplies, and a return ticket home. But we have one motto at the Kontoris Space Disorganisation, and that's we don't have a motto! But if we did it'd be like something WE WILL INTO SPACE TODAY! (T-shirts coming soon). So Valentina Kerman jumped out for some excting manuevers. http://imgur.com/a/E2CPI
  11. Thanks but its not that (i actually didn't know about that feature) but its a persistant issue. Whenever I load the vessel it does it.
  12. TOSSER = Tenebris Orbital Science Station (erratic rotation). For some reason some of the RCS jets fire, causing the station to spin, whenever the RCS is activated. I have the interns working on a replacement module so I can fix this issue as soon as possible. TOFPFS = Trouble On Faraway Planets Fixer Ship NOMS (same as @Torquimedes) = Nano Orbital Manuvering System, which is used to assemble stations like TOSSER up there. Its an unnamed RCS assembly probe.
  13. ^ This. Don't think I've ever actually watched any of Das' streams so it might be fun to go check that out.
  14. Toot Toot, hype train incoming. Honestly curious as to just what the event is. Bookmarked this thread for later. *wink wonk*
  15. Ah the good old days of burning straight up and then doing a neckbreaking 45 degree turn. I missed you so. Good idea, I never would have thought to use orbital speed on ascent (might borrow that for future reference!).
  16. Never knew that, that would have saved my bacon (or kept my kerbals from becoming bacon) many times over. Thanks a bunch for the tip!
  17. Radio connection. It doesn't matter where, it doesn't matter when-- but if your probe needs a radio connection it will never have one. Touching down on Vall with the V.R.A.T (Vall Rendezvous and Target-beacon) 200 meters, 150 meters, 100 meters... suddenly im out of signal when I need a less than 100% thrust suicide burn and end up panicking-- the ship flies straight up and wastes its fuel before becoming Valls First Firework. :/ Oh well.
  18. No prob, I forgot about them too until today (which reminds me i still have a game of Mun Arch Kerball to play at some point). Hopefully they wont go down the Payday 2 route, but that's highly unlikely. The more realistic ones released recently? That could be interesting. I've yet to try them out, although anything by Porkjet is a plus in my books.
  19. Oh gosh, the last time I played Elite i looked away from my screen after jumping into a star system and rammed my Eagle into the star. *shudders* That's a fate I would never wish on any Kerbal.
  20. I'm assuming it will be things like the football and asteroid day packs, little bits here and there which eventually become part of the stock game (besides space-grade footballs) but with much more content. Hopefully an 'incredible amount of content' will come our way soon.
  21. Very excited to know what this is (please be VR support, please be VR support, please be VR support!!)
  22. This is the most useless, convoluted, and overall most messy way to make a Geosync satellite! I love it.
  23. Squad dropped a release date, countdown has begun ladies and gents. T- 7 days until update drops. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Boy here we go.
  24. Heyo, I'm back after a year and a half hiatus (not that I was well known anyway) as I lost the username/password to my old account. Ready to come back and not post anything since my skill in this game is mostly getting things into orbit then leaving it there Good to be back!
