HELLLO! AND WELCOME TO MY COMPLITATION OF FLAGS YOU CAN USE ANY PATCH/FLAG PRESENTED HERE (just leave a credit please) So here it is- And that is all for now. I would like to know if you liked some. And mark the which is the best in your opinion!I will see what is the best style for drawing flags with your help! Also i would take requests anyday! (i know it looks bad, but what should i do in MSpaint with only my touchpad and no tablet!?)

Jet engines on Eve (and Jool)
cratercracker replied to Human Person's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Maybe it would be better to use electricity/intake air to make propellers. Propellers could be possible infinite propulsion but it will require a lot of energy and will produce small amoun of thrust. Maybe as a combination we will need balloons. They are used by NASA,Roscomos,ESA and even small compaines. USSR space program used balloons to explore Venus. And we could do so in KSP!- 25 replies

You know your rockets are REALLY big when...
cratercracker replied to MedwedianPresident's topic in Forum Games!
When your computer melt at the same temperature as fuel in engines. -
I found this old space station in 46 degree inclinated orbit around kerbin. First thought i had is to build SkyLab replica, but then i had a great idea! Idea is for you to design modules for me to send them to new station. But i will have strict requirements about mass and funds. It has only 1 docking port. So i request, you to make a concept of habitat module that weights no higher than 25 tons, after you designed it, send a screenshot/photo of concept. Then after i day i will pick the best and the most interesting concept and launch it into space.(failures and delays might happen,so don't be random in designing a craft.) I know you might think "DESIGN YOUR MODULES YOURSELF" but i already did that and i want some people who can't go to space to make their dreams become true.Or even who can,try designing something special. I will report about success/failure of a mission !

Known for science fiction posts. And for having great knowledge in exoplanets! -
I know,i know that there is wonderful mods that add sandstorms, blizzards and other stuff. But i am asking for changing climate. How would it be? After a month passed (in ksp) Enviroment changes, ice caps grow or vanish, mountains have snow on top or completely lack it. I don't ask for weather, i am asking for dynamicly changing textures. For example-we have texture for summer grass (it is green(obviously) and then after a month ,it changes and turn into something slightly yellow-ish and so on.

When rocket is using kickback engines as booster seperators. -
Stuff don't get ripped inside a blackhole. It rips when crossing the event horizon. Actually materia (like your space ship, star, meteor or whatever falls into a blakchole) is splitting into atoms and then diving into singularity. But when it comes to atoms itself, they split into quarks, leptons and pull it so hard that they move at the speed of light due to extreme gravity. Though the most interesting part is when boson particle dives into blackhole. Boson particles like photon is already moving at the speed of light, but happens when a black hole pulls such particle? Check this video it is very infromative!

The science behind Jool''s atmosphere layers
cratercracker replied to cratercracker's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think 0 altitude is where first cloud layer ends, it is also a part of hot atmosphere. It is where space craft are destroyed by pressure and heat. -
Problem with mining on Pol
cratercracker replied to SirLumbo's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
If it says that you can't mine somewhere it simply ,means that you need to land in different place. If it still says so, try to look at Pol's ore consentration. It might be very low. -
I actually landed at Badlands last time. I remember that they are located near some kind of group of mountains. It is easy to land there due to relatively flat surface, also you get a fair amount of science for making exprerements there.

It is easy to build a moon base ,especially if you pick noticeble and common spot for it! And yes, it really helps when you know that your base is at a certain place! Try to find a big crater or some sort of valley(i've chosen eastern crater) Next step is design! Try to draw it as a concept! Then you need to check 3 things- electricty, propulsion, and what do you need your base for. And now after we went to the VAB and built all whacky things you kept in mind, try putting wheels on your modules. Even if you landed 12km away, you can still rove. Keep in mind that your base need a reason to exist. It could be mining/refueling outpost nor a science/training facility.

The science behind Jool''s atmosphere layers
cratercracker replied to cratercracker's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It is similar for all gas giants to have liquid hydrogen somewhere! But maybe Jool doesn't and that is why i stated that it is theoretical! -
The science behind Jool''s atmosphere layers

take a look at Jupiter's atmopshere layer(internal structure) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jupiter And,no science instruments say only how pressure is crushing them... -
someone:Do you think you really know how to use paint?
me:Yeeh sure!
someone:oh my god what is that?!?!!
Me: It is masterpiece!

Jool has the thickest atmospheres of all planets in Kerbol system. All atmospheres of gas giants are unique and may contain different elements. Such difference is very important ,when materials condensate into clouds! It makes material sepperated into different layers! Lets take a look at Layers of Jool's atmopshere- (not to scale)(i know my drawings is awful, but what can u do with touchpad and paint!) First, ionized layer is always interacting with light and radiation! It makes it look different from most of the atmospheric layers. It glowes purple during the twilight and sunshine. Then we have main layer, It the layer we use to aerobrake at and it is also the most visible one! Next is dynamic layer! it is also the first part of hot atmopshere. It is called so due to extreme temperatures that this part of the atmosphere contains. We can see how it moves acros Jool! It is also responsible for different streams(lines) of Joolian atmosphere. Next is first cloud layer! It is where gas condence into clouds. Soon these clouds will produce powerful thunderbolts that cross all the atmospheric layers below. This is also a place where powerful storms appear. Second cloud layer is not such a difference with the first layer. Except the density,it is much higher than in the first cloud layer. And the last part is a theoretical layer made of liquid hydrogen. It could be a result of hydrogen under extreme pressure and heat, nor some kind of different chemical reaction. Appearently Jool's atmosphere is made of 3 main components!(despite a lot more different materials, they are the most) Hydrogen,Helium and Chlorine(which makes the atmosphere look green) Phew!I hope you liked this topic! Though it involves science, it is a theory related to KSP so it belongs in KSP discussion thread! And again i am asking you to mark my mistakes, if i have some! It is just a theory!A KSP theory!

Maybe it sounds hard but here is a sollution of Finding perfect equatorial orbit: Okay, okay lets start! 1)Land a lander/rover near the equator. 2)Drive/land to a strange line( It is some sort of line with no texture right in the middle of any planet!) 3) Git into orbit around planet/moon you want 4)Set your lander/rover as a target 5) In orbital view you can see inclination difference with your rover/lander 4)hopefully legit

HELP! I need to make a base on DUNA!
cratercracker replied to Trexinator's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Try using mk2 base design! It is aerodynamic, lightweight and also looks pretty. It is simple to construct such base! So lets start with the construction- 1) Look at COM always, it could fatal flaw in design. 2) Despite Duna has a thin atmosphere you can relign on your parachutes when designing a landing stage. So i mean-dont use a lot of SAS wheels 3) As for engines use "Thud" It is easy to get manuever, it does not consume a lot of fuel and it is relatively small. 4) There is a cargo bay coming with mk2 parts, You can use for science instruments, a small rover or even a deployable space plane And now after all this mess with construction we can land! But how to do it perfectly? 1) Make sure where are you going to land! It could really steep hills or even dangerous mountains. Try to find a crater or a valley! 2)Duna's atmosphear is really thin! Dont think that you can get a lot of drag! It tilts from little to no. So be ready to break to low speeds with engines, for parachutes to deploy 3) Good thing about mk2 design is that you don't need to launch 3,4,5 rockets to build a functioning base! You can stop at 2 or 1 if you can! 4)good luck! P.S sorry for bad english im in hurry -

Can't target docking port
cratercracker replied to Numerlor's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Try swithcing to the other ship and clicking on the docking port you have there, click button "control from here'' then you switch back and turn on SAS and click '' target''! It will make your ship aimed at the part which is the control center, and in this case docking port would the control center. If it doesnt help try docking backwards. It means that you need to dock the station to the module, i know it sounds crazy, right? -
and now i feel like the best plan suggestor ever! backstory- one of my friends loves to take magnets, metals everything you can buy on websites for 5$ and stuff like that. SO he took his thingy and i be like - Hey! You know what? Try putting that into power socket! he be like- Uhuh next thing im going to try is building a nuclear bomb!(sarcastic) in next few hours we started to get bored. and next thing happened is (you know what hapenned)

I didn't count but school direktor was in a class right behind ours. We cut power by putting a metalic thingy (honestly i don't remember what it was) into power socket and boom all room is lit!! I'm scared to death, feeling like my soul is going to the rapture
