  1. When most of us start KSP career we think about funds. But what is exactly is the richest place in kerbol system? Here is top 5 richest places: 1.Moho Moho formed closer to the sun than the rest of planets. And that means it is full of precious metals. You may ask me “Why?” The answer is:The only place where metals form is supernovas and star cores and Moho was formed near a star and probably recieved some materia. So Moho theoretically filled with metals. 2.Jool Jool has hydrogen, helium and chlorine in the atmosphere. Gas giants themselves are interesting places due to crazy pressures and temperatures, different material forms, some of those can be simple and easy to find but some are true rarity. 3.Eelo Eelo is the most far planet in kerbol system. And that means it was formed close to iron stock. A lot of material that was not used during the formation of Kerbol system stayed there in the outer parts of system where Eelo remains now. It could absorb some materials and make itself more valuable. 4.Dres(?) Dres is small dwarf planet in between Jool and Duna. During the formation most Dres received a lot of siicates. But a lot of materials came from asteroid collisions that brought ices, silicates, metals and lots of other things. 5.Gilly As how we know Gilly is a captured asteroid. But what was an asteroid doing so close to the sun? Perhaps maybe Gilly is a very old asteroid that was on its orbit and then pulled by the Eve's gravity. And probably very old asteroids can contain materials fromthe startof the solar system and some of them are precious or highly radioactive..... So I want to start my own journal of ideas and theories about kerbol system called “The science behind…” And I hope you will appreciate it!... P.S Sun doesnt count becauce we cant visit it... P.S 2 Thank you for your help! I learnt a lot of intereting things through your comments!
  2. Psychology of people depends on sounds very much for example short and silent sounds can cause people to fear or heavy and repeating ones exite people I would really like a mod that adds special sounds to different kinds of environment. Like heavy wind that make noise in eve or jool atmosphere. Or the sound of dust storms on duna. Water sounds on laythe. And inside crew cabin noises like beeps and chatterer on non-atmospheric worlds. Birds singing on kerbin and stuff like that wil make game feel like reality.
  3. System of kerbin is not wide but has some great moons to visit. Well, Kerbin itself was formed in the same nebula where most of the planets formed. When kerbin was a planetoid there was still mass that orbited it and it was the beginning of the mun. Soil analysis taught us that mun was not part of kerbin and not debris from cataclysmic collision. It is unique and different from kerbin. Stable, low orbit is a sign of natural satellite. Although minmus may be a remnant of collision due to inclination and eccentricity of orbit. It is made of ice, which is the same ice that was on kerbin hundreds of years ago. Also evidence of that is an unique and strange shape of its surface. There is a large crater on the surface of kerbin that could be the place where minmus started forming Kerbin was in ice age long time ago when sun was just a YY dwarf. We can see evidence of that in the ice caps and oxygen in the atmosphere. But when the sun staged and turned into yellow dwarf all the ice evaporated or turned into water. Life on kerbin consist of trees, grass and kerbals. But kerbin is not so old and still suffers from radiation and instant asteroid collisions. But when the space around will calm down, more species will come , more trees will grow , more grass to rise. But for now kerbal community must protect the planet and don’t let life go extinct… We may find frozen bacteria or viruses deep inside minmus crust. They can be both cure and death to kerbals. All minmus surface samples must be carefully contained and never lost, sold or eaten by kerbanouts. All 5 themes are for discussion. Just write Number of theme and discuss or improve them. P.S All of those are theories and maybe be not true facts . P.S 2 im Russian and english is (apperently) not my native language.
  4. The Moon The Moon is the most explored body for me in game. But sometimes even a professional player can get serious problems while exploring it…. So here is a collection of all mission reports form 35 kerbals that been to moon and a base that I have at the east crater Moon is place where everything can go wrong in a second. But if you know what are you doing ,you can deal with them. Moon is full of craters and interesting landscapes like canyons valleys but the only flatland you can find is bottom of the biggest craters on Moon. So it is best to build your bases there. Due to lack of atmosphere no aerobraking can be done but the Moon still has a very powerful gravity and you must not disrespect it. But flying an SSTO is still possible but now you need gimballed engine or RCS to maneuver. But pilots of SSTO must think differently than they think in atmospheric worlds they need to remember that they can’t glide or turn with no using engines,SAS or RCS. When you send a rover to the moon you need to check if your SAS is ok for driving in low gravity. Too much SAS power will make your rover spin at one point. But if you don’t use any SAS you may end up flipped upside down . You can still drive at good speed like 40 m/s but be careful and be aware that you may find yourself flying at suborbital speeds right into crater bottom You may lose your connection when you are at the bright side so choose landing spots carefully and think about connection. Setting relay is easy but keep in mind that you will need a relay probe orbiting far from kerbin. Moon have contrast spots that have lots of ore and dead zones that have no ore at all. Try not to aim by luck and use scanning satellites to get ore and convert it. Try to bring as much drills as you can or drilling process can take months and years. I hope you got at least a tiny bit of information that can help you with exploring Moon. P.S it is not HOW TO GET TO MOON it is about how to avoid failures while operating on the Moon

The Moon is the most explored body for me in game. But sometimes even a professional player can get serious problems while exploring it….

So here is a collection of all mission reports form 35 kerbals that been to moon and a base that I have at the east crater

Moon is place where everything can go wrong in a second. But if you know what are you doing you can deal with them. P.S English is not my native language so forgive me for mistakes

  6. Silicates, dust and ice Frozen craters, forgotten valleys… Nothing seems to be nice… In this planet full of dead alleys… Dres Bright green dot in sky Place where wonder dwells Desperate moons that asking, Why? But at the same time being well… Clouds that walking over surface high And the master planet says, It’s mine We will live there in some time… Jool The tiny icy speck Looking distant, freezing But it has It’s own feeling In a tiny icy wreck Which is circling there… appealing Eeelo Pls forgive me for all bad rhythms and stuff im really tired while writing this
  7. So ive already been to duna ,set up a base on moon , and tried to bit ice dust of minmus But now my aim is for Eve and the mission is already set up but i think i can ad something to improve it survivability and make MOAR fun. So my craft is: 4 engined nuclear tug a habitat and a return capsule Mission is set up to fry evry bit and piece of habitat (watch it burn in the atmosphere ) and make science out of it! and then return all 3 kerbals back to kerbin ,the problem is that i think the mission will be boring and dangerous when i will approach the Eve's atmosphere . Can you help me making my mission great?(sorry for REALY bad grammar im just a Russian ) ( i want you to suggest other modules to my station and keep as llow cost as possible)
  8. I watched a great movie called MOON (which i heartly recomend you) So the mission is simple : You build your moon base and find the very good place to mine ore. you're supposed to collect ore with a rover (How?-Just use MechJeb set up coordinates and let youre rover(s) move .when finally obtain a 9 large cannisters of ore the real challenge begins! You're supposed to take all of the ore and return it back to kerbin but not converted.Dont use cheats but youre still alowed to use mods instead. If you manage to obtain more ore and make video /footage of it send it somewhere...i dont know ...just leave a link to your mission And i will appreciate that (meme intended)
  9. While nobody saw i ordered a beggar to take a fake cookie but the real one is MINE
  10. Bright high sun… Rotten surface… And deep craters.. But it is time to leave now From this fried brown planet The Moho Deep oceans ,craters Those heavy rainy clouds And infinite flatlands around Still standing still un explored The magnificent purple planet That pulling eyes to be watched The Eve The great blue dot Fading In green of the trees The oceans full of water and ice Which are standing by to be crossed The Kerbin Distant wander point Full of dread and red Watching victims of pull to be faint Great wisdom of dead Tracing pale steps of remains… The Duna Yeah im bad at poetry...But hey its an a attempt and im Russian and im very bad at english!
  11. I made it to laythe!

  12. I think most of us have kerbals out there (in space) which are stranded, forgotten or in captivity of their habitats. How about to save them from cold/fiery doom?! Bring all your kerbals back and try to do it in time! So here we go! You have 55 minutes (in real time) to bring them back.(i know that most of you dont have so much of ground or orbital settlements but if you DO then there is an opportunity to complete the Mission) The player which will make it in the least amount of time will be considered a winner (video/photo required)
  13. I think i will jut eat a chocolate......or make a cookie my self!
  14. Once Galileo probe entered the atmosphere of Jupiter we made a lot of dicoveries and conclusions about Jupiter and all gas giants in solar system. But in ksp we can much more than in real life The idea is - you dive deeply into jool atmosphere as deep you can can and then return . For this task you beter use a plane/glider. Rules :Dont use cheats to prevent overheating nor cheats for infinite fue (just dont use cheats at all !) . Dont use mods except the the mods that add balloons . You need stay at the low altitide for 55 sec. That is your guide Easy: 70 000 m Normal: 40 000 m Hard: 35 000 m .
  15. Just had an real bad day..... Ive got a large moonbase in the east crater .I brought up a rover and went on a darkside expedition. Rushed into a steep crater crashed and killed 4 kerbals but i still wanted to go further into the darkness i got my self lost and then i lost connection i tried to rescue my only remnant of the mission but failed ..... now he is stranded on the darkside of the moon lowlands. Hopes and luck for Kony Kerman.....
  16. Just had an emergency evacuation from my moon base 1/7 survivors 2 died from dehydration (yes i have kerbalim installed) 2 died on reentry 2 died from splashing too hard .
  17. There is a ton of intersting mods for ksp that add telescopes and cameras, but we dont use them. So i ve got an idea for your ksp activity . You launch your telescope into orbit and observe different planets from long distance , take some cool screenshots of planets and send it into the coments . (Dont forget to quickscope the planet! )
  18. guys i woul realy like some help with getting to duna.i already had expereince with getting small payload(probe) to orbit around duna but im dealing with a manned mission so i need HALP1!!!1!!!!1!!
