Air Superiority Fighter Competition Continued
Abraxis replied to exbyde's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
fake news dn-69 is totally 100% different But on a more serious note, I have taken exbyde's advice and have decided to re-make the F-2 into a competitive fighter that can stand up to the current meta. Having to switch around and offset a majority of the parts on it, I personally believe it is significantly different enough in both design and behavior to be considered a brand new craft, although I certainly do not deny the obvious similarities that continue to exist between the design of the old and new craft: https://kerbalx.com/Abraxis/Type-29A -

Oh God. 5 times every second... Apart from a full restart, I don't really have any other solution when that happens on my end. It does however, seem to me, that craft with their scan interval set low (0.1-0.001) tend to slow down the game much more heavily, so that might have something to do with the buildup. -

If any of you guys are having problems with the medium landing gear, just raise it, and quicksave while the craft is on the ground. Then, when you reload, you can simply lower the gear and take off. -

Is it possible for a company to be an independent contractor, and sell equipment to any side that wants it? It would seem to fit well enough with what little backstory I have, a desperate manufacturer looking to create profit regardless of what consequences might arise, as well as letting HatBat choose for himself which side the craft seems better suited for, if it is selected to partake in the series.

Honestly, I don't have all that much hope. I've been having so many problems with BD AI, ranging from it doing nothing but flying in a straight line, as can be seen during some moments in the video where planes seem to become inactive, to refusing to fire both sidewinders and AMRAAMs even presented with the perfect opportunity. I can only hope they devote an update entirely to remaking the AI portion of the mod, as its sometimes questionable performance isn't necessarily a single glitch or bug per se, but rather the cumulative result from numerous, individually-tiny oversights, most of which, upon being eliminated, would help the dev team's cause overall.- 1,012 replies

Ouch. Looks like you have to brute-force it, if nothing else works. Marcus House made a great tutorial, and even has a craft file for that sort of thing: All hail the mammoth engine
