I found this thing absolutely infuriating. It's the size of a regular Clamp-o-tron, and there's nothing to tell you different, so I wasted a truly aggravating amount of time trying to get it to dock with the regular clamp-o-tron before coming here and reading this thread. I find it seriously annoying that they don't say anything in the description. Really annoying indeed.

Which command pod are we talking about? I played Portal and Portal2, and I've been playing KSP since 2012, but Gargamel's description left me confused... Frankly, the new spherical command pods are so very nice that I seldom use anything else now. Just the fact that they have built-in separator and ablative shield makes them so much more weight-efficient, but you have to look closely at the numbers to see that.

Just another example of how incredibly accurate and precise the Landing Guidance feature of MJ2 can be when everything goes right. This was a Mun rescue mission. The Kerbal you see on EVA was to be rescued. I input the exact coords to Landing Guidance, and the rescue capsule with Elizer on board set it down this close, first try. It just doesn't come any more precise than that. Excellent work, Sarbian, excellent work indeed. Win 10 pro 64, NVidia GTX 680 KSP 1.4.2 64-bit, MJ 794

Kaspersky hasn't given me any grief about MechJeb, but after reading the above I went and did a manual scan of the MechJeb folder, and it all checks out OK. This would seem to indicate that Windows Defender is indeed giving you a false positive. tl;dr - Kaspersky says MechJeb contains no malware. Clean, all OK, good.

Hey, Sarbian. Just a heads up - the links to where to find the log file, both of them on the first page of this thread and the one in your signature, are broken. They give an error - The page you requested does not exist Error code: 1S160/2 I saw the post by UnanimousCoward three posts above and went to check it against the old log location, to see if it had changed, and thus I discovered the broken links. Thanks again for all your hard work and help

Landing Guidance (the rocket kind, not the airplane kind I was posting about earlier) is working very well for me. If you look carefully at the top right corner of the Landing Guidance window itself, there is a flag. The coords entered in the LG window are that flag. Both spacecraft shown started from the same stable 300K orbit of Mun, and both use the same booster assembly, though they have different payloads - one carries a Kerbanaut and the other carries an extensive instrument package. Given the coords of the flag, both not only landed successfully, but landed this close to one another, on the first try - no reload from save. MechJeb 789 / KSP 1.4.1.2089 (WindowsPlayer x64) en-us / Windows 10 Pro 64 / Only using three mods - MechJeb, Toolbar Control, and Antenna Helper

LameLefty- The more I play with the Autolander, the more impressed I am, and the more convinced I become that the landing issue at KSC is an game/engine problem rather than an MJ problem. Fresh Sandbox game, latest KSP version 64-bit, MechJeb 789 Here I approach the Island Runway 27 in a stock Gull with a MJ box added. Island runway 27 has a hill just past the end. In this video you can see the plane is headed for a collision with terrain. Just as I thought for sure we were about to have a Jebediah moment, the Autolander suddenly wicks up the throttle, lifts the nose, skims the top of the hill with about a meter to spare, and lands on the end of the runway slicker than cat**** on linoleum. I would say the Autolander itself is working very well

LameLefty - I wonder if it is a new Unity engine issue, let me explain. I started a new Career campaign with the new version, and I'm doing manual re-entries from sub-orbital flights, (ferrying tourists to build up cash reserves). I'm manually following the retrograde marker on the navball, and I noticed that when it switches from Orbital Speed to Ground Speed, the retrograde marker jerks to the right about 7-8 millimeters. This sounds like a similar phenomenon, and I suspect it's Unity because I'm flying manually without MechJeb. Or maybe it's something completely different, but I don't recall it ever doing that before.

What use small radiator at beginning?
El Sancho replied to El Sancho's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
OK. Thank you for the reply. -
New KSP version, I haven't played for a few months, so I decided to start over. And in doing so I ran across something I have long wondered about, so I thought to myself "hey, this time I'll go ask!". Yes, I did search the forums for existing answers first. I am at just the third step of tech tree, two up from "Start". Bottom icon of the three, little parachute icon, called "Survivability". It includes the Small Radiator part. What use would one have for a Small Radiator at that tech level? It was my understanding that Radiators and such were only for cooling things like drills and ore processors, which come along much later in the tech tree. What am I missing?
