  1. This might have to do more with your internet speed itself. When I try to download it directly it goes at around 3.2mb/s (7 minutes total). Many other large mods also use only github as distribution and they all download just fine. Adding another CDN means more room for error when I update the mod, which only gets even more frustrating should I need to make a quick hotfix.
  2. Interstellar dV chart and ETA are pretty much impossible and I strongly advise against using stock parts for any kind of endeavors like this.
  3. I have decided against reparenting anything mostly due to the buggy nature of doing it and that I want to keep the stock system. However you can try to change things yourself and see. 16GB should be good. TWB itself uses onDemand loading so it doesn't use that much RAM.
  4. Update v1.1.1 Also on CKAN! Github Download v1.1.1 "Bridging Azure" Patch 1 2018-10-31 +custom orbit icons for all stars +4 new flags +more loading screen tips +sunflare licenses +made more references *completely remade Barrier's pulsar jets *increased Dawn's orbital period so it's even more static *corrected AVC version checking, removed version file for each system so now the entire TWB folder have only one central version file *adjusted and recolored the orbits of planets of Eon *disabled new shader on Oblivion's rings so it is much more visible *tilted Amaterasu's ring so it looks nicer, and tilted its moons' orbits *further reduction to asteroid spawn rate for all systems *fixed numerous tpyos

  6. Amazing work. Dare I say the texture works here are on par with (or even better than) GPP.
  7. What the new star icons will probably look like I will also try to integrate those into any system diagrams that I will inevitably make
  8. TWB seems to work normally so far on Kopernicus 1.5.0-1, with CTTP 1.0.2, EVE 1.4.2-2 and scatterer 0.0331b.
  9. I have never played New Horizons so I can't guarantee, but most likely they should work together. Try it out and tell me if something weird happens. If there are no problems I will update the list of compatible packs.
  10. I don't know what a non-steam install looks like, but KSP_x64.exe and KSP.exe should be under the same directory. Check your output_logs.txt (instructions here) first, though. You might be running 64 bit already.
  11. You have installed it wrong. There should only be one folder named TheWorldBeyond in your GameData, and everything should be inside that folder. Make sure when you are extracting the downloaded zip file, choose "extract here" instead of "extract to...". After the extraction of _TWB_Core and any other module you have, there should be only one folder named TheWorldBeyond extracted. Merge them together and do not move anything inside. This is an example of the inside of a correctly installed TheWorldBeyond folder: You might not have all the systems but everything else should be like this.
  12. Well, I can't help you if you don't provide your logs, screenshot of your GameData folder, and the inside of your TheWorldBeyond folder. Also, make sure you are running the 64 bit KSP.
  13. There have been some problem with the version files so I have to postpone putting anything onto CKAN. Hopefully I will eventually add every single component to CKAN. eventually
  14. Just found out that all of the .version files are written incorrectly... So I will be keeping a note to self for fixes in 1.1.1 or 1.2: Correctly rewrite the version files further decrease asteroid spawn rate custom star orbit icons
  15. Output Log https://www.dropbox.com/s/m6jqgz32livnynx/output_log.txt?dl=0 Glad it is working for you. One "minor" problem is that it doesn't seems like you have CTTP installed, which is probably why you are getting the NRE spam, as this mod uses CTTP for the planets' surface textures
  16. I can't help you if you don't provide your logs, screenshot of your gamedata folder, and the inside of your TheWorldBeyond folder.
  17. Keep time warping forward and see if some would show up eventually. I'm considering to continue decreasing asteroid spawn limits if everyone is reporting the same problem.
  18. It was about a year ago when I first started playing with almost no mods, I was able to successfully launch 3 communication satellites and put all of them on geostationary orbit 120 degrees apart in one go without quicksaves. Granted that rocket had way too much dV for that mission, but that's still way more exciting than waiting 15 minutes for the game to load just to realise you made a typo in your config so the solar system wouldn't load...
  19. Update v1.1.0 "now IC certified!" Github Download It is recommended to completely delete the TheWorldBeyond folder of previous versions before installing this version. It is also recommended to start a new career mode save for this version as it may break previous saves. v1.1 "Bridging Azure" 2018-08-24 +Dawn is now made "static" using the new period feature +3 new flags +more loading screen tips +made more references *compatible with Kopernicus 1.4.5-4, backport 1.3.1-13 *moved the Dawn Cluster much closer to the sun (42Tm to the current 12Tm), and compressed the cluster by moving the stars roughly 10 times closer and shrinking their SOI by 10 times *adjusted the orbit of many objects in accordance of the change above *adjusted the antenna stats, reduced the smallest and largest antennas' range, increased all antenna's EC storage and EC usage *renamed Guardian to Sentry due to the name being already taken by AK *corrected the license on KSPI parts *adjusted asteroid spawn rates for all systems *fixing numerous tpyos
