  1. That explains also, when will the next update be?
  2. I can't fill the IVA, and the amount of seats in the VAB is substantially smaller than the amount of seats in the Config.
  3. If you use Extraplanetary Launchpads, you can use 150t of cargo to assemble a ship in orbit. I'll see if i can fit 150t of stockalike cargo into a 5.5m BFR
  4. A 5.5m BFR should be capable of placing 150t in LKO. A 7.5m BFR sould be capable of a lot more. If you make a 9m BFR and a 5.5m BFR, the 5.5m should be capable of placing 150t in LKO reusable 250t expendable, and the 9m should be capable of 150t to LEO reusable and 250t expendable. instead of nerfing the 7.5m BFR, i think that a shrinking the entire rocket is a better idea.
  5. @harrisjosh2711 The amount of fuel should be MUCH larger in the BFR. A 7.5m BFR should be capable of lifting a lot more than 150t into LKO, a 5.5m BFR should be capable of lifting 150t into LKO. the ISP of the raptor engines and the fuel capacity of the BFS should not be reduced, the scale of the rocket should be changed via tweakscale. and you have BFR competition now, their model is flawed though. Tundra Exploration has been updated, there are a few good things about it, such as two engine clusters for the BFS. however it is too small, and its crew capacity is tiny. It also has flaps at the rear for aerodynamic control, I suggest adding those into the BFR, RCS burns up a huge amount of LF/OX.
  6. an outer ring and center cluster is a good idea, however individual engines are an even better idea @mrtagnanPLEASE UPLOAD THOSE CONFIGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Making the Plume larger on the outer engines would be great, the current plume is way too small because of the size of the engine bells on the outer engines. Making all of the BFR upper stage engines independent parts instead of one part would be a good idea, because it would allow them to operate independently and to have different plumes. btw ditch that grey stripe at the nose, plz
  8. the reason i thought that it was a thing in a config is because of the fact that it says IVA= X
  9. Thx for the hotfix btw, is the IVA done?, because a cfg for that would be great
  10. You need to right click the engines and select toggle mode. If you mean that you should be able to run with just the outer on and no inner that isn't possible (there is no three engine mode) nor is there really any situation you would need to do that. It is a booster. It launches with all its engines (some scientist figured out long ago this was most efficient) and lands with its central core(for control reasons). When landing It is actually more efficient to use all engines or you are carrying dead weight. Also, to be technical- what you are asking would =Extra parts=extra weight=increased likely hood of failure, which is a no-no in rocketry. I mean the Upper stage of the BFR, the BFS IRL the BFS outer engines are vacuum optimized, these engines are not efficient and unstable at sea level. so it is more efficient to use the 3 sea level engines while landing
  11. the outer engines on the BFR should be capable of operating independently of the central engines, and there should be 3 inner engines (elon gave that update in his BFR AMA) the Vacuum engine's plume is too narrow btw. realplume would be GREAT.
  12. What exactly is a hotfix?, if that means a fix before the next release, the yes
  13. The BFR is indeed available in that size, but the docking port and decoupler are not. it is a huge hassle to edit the configs. if possible it would be great if you could make the docking port and the decoupler compatible with tweakscale
  14. i did some calculations, and the BFR should be 5.5m in diameter to match the scale of the Bluedog Design Bureau saturn V, which is 6.1 m in diameter.
  15. Solar panels for the BFR would be a good thing to have in the next release.
  16. BFR cargo? the cargo BFR should not have crew, because the real cargo BFR will not be crewed.
  17. http://www.humanmars.net/search/label/BFR%2FBFS if possible it would be great if you could have the kerbal's heads pointing away from the central pole, because in the current configuration the kerbals would red-out during EDL due to excess blood in the brain see link for visual explanation of the seat configuration. (ignore the sheer amount of seats, the current amount will suffice. focus on the orientation) a cool addition to the next release would be the Point Defense Cannon on the Rocinante from the expanse.
  18. when is the BFR Internal ready I understand if it is taking a while, 30 kerbals is a MASSIVE internal.
  19. I would recommend making a 5m BFR, since that is kerbal scale, and then making a real scale (9m) BTW, i didn't know that RO/RSS was not updated
  20. I think that you should make a kerbal scale BFR (~5m) and a Human scale (9m) BFR since there is no other mod for the BFR. you used have two different BFRs, but i think the kerbal (5m) and Human (9m) BFR idea is better than the 3.75m and 7.5m BFRs idea since the 3.75m BFR is too small for kerbal scale, and the 7.5m BFR is too big for kerbal scale yet to small for the human (RSS) scale
  21. I have edited the ISP and thrust of the engines in my own save, they simply were not as powerful or efficient as a kerbal scale raptor engine also, by making the amount of resources capable of supporting 50-100 kerbals i didn't mean a unique IVA for each kerbal, i was thinking food, water, oxygen, etc
  22. if you could make the amount of resources able to support 50-100 kerbals as opposed to 7 that would be great, it would be a simple config edit, just like the fuel capacity correction.
  23. I made an procedural liquid tank of a roughly equivalent size to the 7.5 meter BFR, the tank holds 65815 units of liquid fuel and 80440 units of oxidizer, this number would be even larger taking propellant densification into account. This means that the amount of propellant is far to small. this would be a simple edit. the fuel tank starts at the end of the hollow section of hull at the aft of the ship, and ends just below the docking port.
