No no , i miss read the first time ! Craft is on SPH & VAB .SubAssembly in Subassembly folder !
But i suspect some mod part into the Assembly files , that's why i share a Stock assembly ( just for test ) to know if you are the same issue .
Can be a download corruption , or a wrong file format !

Here's a variant of my AMX-G2 , a bit smaller , less weapons & different turret shape . Diesel powered & as always 360° turret rotation .

Today I started a carrier as well.
Very interesting ! I have some issue when i build boat , they tend to dive even at start with engine stop !
Your seems to stay under water , have you a "equal" mass under water ( as a iceberg ) ?

Here's my first attempt with F1H²O speed boat in KSP 1.04 & i feel happy with the result !
With less mass & better balance maybe can make better speed but that's already not bad !
OFC it's a modded craft so this speed is not really legit
Less than 2 min race for the first craft , One min race for the 3rd craft . "Dragster race"
F1H²O First Strike : 621 m/s

You need [ubio-welding] mod to use this craft : (compressed with the standard Ubio setting )

Note : You may crash or takeoff if you are not stable enough at start ! Start with 20% Thrust power , SAS On , After some Sec hit Full throttle & Burnnnnn !!!! Your max speed will depend of how fast you reach a stable state ! You can win or lost 300 m/s ( like a Dragster race )

I'm happy to re-use ubio welding mod again , look like stable enough to build some huge craft
After try some not very good prototype ( sorry ) i got one frigate with descent looking . i use multiple Welded Parts that allow me to re-use them as a "normal part" , Once i got enough welded parts i also able to build various craft or shape them different !
I contain this in 124 Parts with a not too bad framerate .
- 14X 57mm AA Turrets 2X Canons
- 1X 380mm Turret 2X Canons
- 2X 152mm Turrets 4X Canons
- 8X 20mm MachineGun

I got 235 Parts for now so is fine for me . Will try to stay under 500 max , 400 sould be better
!I have all interior to make too , erf ! maybe make too version , 1 with low parts , & one full parts + interior !

Work on a armored Fregate who can handle two Copter for refueling mission .
The only [MOD] i used for now is [tweakscale] to prevent too many Parts on the final craft .

I made another Diesel Tank , inspired by the T-60 ! Light tank with a small turret & small space inside to build , erf !
& yes i like Diesel tank , unlimited power generator as no sense for me !

Yep , Kerpaint only works with [stock] parts , Like a extension !

We have enough Tanks builder now to grow this one very fast !+ That let the spacecraft exchange cleaner !
So i put two tanks in two versions ( this is not a replica !!) A heavy probe tank electric powered & a Light probe tank Diesel powered ( this one is FUN
)Both incoming in [stock] & [bD-Armory] & are designed to be extremely easy to use with a smooth turret ( Generally 15% / 20% Trim power is enough to make them rotate )
I suggest to use SAS on the Core tank ( Wheels ) & No-SAS on the turret : Key bind is :

0 - Decouple/Undock (both)
1 - Start Fuel Cell Array (Diesel)
2 - Stop Fuel Cell Array (Diesel)
Spc - Next Weapon (BD-Only)
R - Fire (BD-Only)
G - Drop CM (BD-Only)
Abord - Switch Arm/Guard/Autopilot (BD-Only)
OFC Rebind if you don't like this

I see you'r use turbojet engine in place of my basic jet engine , i do this only for aesthetic .

Today i come with a Diesel version of my AMX serie . i use Fuel Cell Array to simulate a Diesel engine
If u run out of fuel you may no longer move but turret has it own power generator so you still can defend your position ( like a bunker )
Easy to drive , easy to shoot !
Use key (1) & (2) to Start/Stop Fuel Cell Array
You have 144l of LF/Ox Give you a good lifetime .

So what sort of FPS do you get? I was getting like 5 lol and I wouldn't necessarily say my build is a wimp or anything. Gefore GTX 970 Superclocked, i5 2500K, 20GB 1600Mhz RAM, 120 SSD.
Just for compare , i had 9 FPS with ATI-R9-270X / I5-4570 / 8GB 1333Mhz RAM / 1TO HDD 5400 rpm / all is stock
Sure most PPL can't play with those huge craft but it's so beautiful replica .
& in 8 years we all play 5000 parts craft with a netbook
