  1. @maculator In 1.4.2 with only module manager and your config file as extra in game data. Read through MM documentation and your syntax is correct from what I can tell, but after MM does all its patching I look through the cache and the baseValue of science experiments is not changing. UrlConfig { name = EXPERIMENT_DEFINITION type = EXPERIMENT_DEFINITION parentUrl = Squad/Resources/ScienceDefs EXPERIMENT_DEFINITION { id = mysteryGoo title = Mystery Goo™ Observation baseValue = 10 scienceCap = 13 @EXPERIMENT_DEFINITION[*] { %baseValue = #$scienceCap$ } # signifies a variable of some kind.$ signifies the start and end of a variable identifier string. -- Right from the wiki. I have no idea why its not working. @sarbian is there something new with MM 3.0.6 ? Since the variable is in the same top level node, we dont need @ or a directory structure, so I'm lost with whats not working.
  2. Hey all, Recently started another RSS career with about 90 some odd mods. The most important one obviously being real fuels. I dont think my issue with oxygen boil off is related to real fuels as I've made a config file with the FINAL designation to change all the tanks with the variable 'loss_rate' to '0' and have confirmed that it is working by checking modulemanager.configcache. So my only conclusion is that its a different mod. I had cryogenic engines and tanks installed and found variables called BoiloffRate and some other localization stuff related to that mod, but I wasnt sure I had found all the instances within its configuration so I elected to play without it. Deleted my configcache so it would generate a new one and I'm still experiencing Liquid oxygen boil off and I can't find the variable responsible for it, so I've come here for help. Here's a combined pic of my mod list. Appreciate everyones time. - https://imgur.com/L9ldERG
  3. Sometimes, a part just needs to go in drag. I mean it's not my thing, but I tend not to judge.
  4. Yeah I've noticed this, its the sole reason I stopped using those silly parts. As a part of this reply I quoted @blakemw his solution fixed most of my issue. The other answer, unfortunately, was to quit using the other parts altogether. Appreciate your time Yeah, I was using a whole mess of part mods, nothing atmospheric though. The parts causing the issues were stock ksp parts (edit: and one other mod), with as far as I know not edited by an outside config file. Appreciate the reply This was most of the problem. The stock parts I could coax into getting 0 drag. However the Kraken Science mod parts seemed to love dragging no matter what I did. Thanks for the reply
  5. As the title states, I am using a mechanics bay to shield some science instruments. I've also used a regular cargo bay from 1.25 and the mk2 line for planes. The items contained within them, when aero debugging is turned on, are not listed as shielded, and as expected for random objects hitting the atmosphere at mach x, the drag is insane. Anyone else experienced this? Its killing my plane game.
  6. Hey, appreciate the reply. I ended up finding another post about how to take the RSS folder and basically recreate what you did I believe in your file in this topic. However, appreciate you making this topic letting me know that it was possible to get rss in 1.3.1
  7. Hey, Installed this with a clean 1.3.0 install and it pops up that its not compatible while module manager is loading patches. I tried editing the realsolarsystem.version file to max version 1, 3, 0 and it still comes up the same way. Are you using anything else other than a clean install to get this to work and I'm just stupid? Edit: Also tried this with 1.3.1, with a clean install, started game up first to let it build all the regular data, then installed your RSS install. It doesn't pop up an incompatibility, it just doesn't load the new planets. @Galileo I found your post talking about the 1.3.1 patch you posted in the "RSS" thread. Problem is, I thought I was in the RSS thread, and searching for another RSS thread actually brought me here, so needless to say I can't find your 1.3.1 patch for RSS. A little pointer would be greatly appreciated.
