Xd the great replied to Foxster's topic in Science & Spaceflight
How high would the bending gee forces be? Also: launching a rocket from a vehicle: https://goo.gl/images/hJJTxh -
What-at? Cancelled? Stupid google. Lets use IE. Well, a bfr flyby with small probes sounds nice.

It is theorectically possible, just that elon disliked the plan. -
Yeah, 1 project for 2 prizes/contracts. Then BFR comes along.

Well, actually that is the whole point. Some will fail, some will succeed, and that is why NASA hired 9 startups to build new moon landers. Even if they were bought, the expensive R and D is done. The big names will provide the tooling at a low cost.

Feels like NASA is no longer the one to build the rockets, they buy launches.

Yes, radio guided missiles are excellent for aadditional development, TVs ones are too, but how are they dirrerent from manually guiding a craft/missile onto the ground?
-
0.39 kg. The bullets are NOT exploding and disappearing, at least not when the target is near.

Neil is a pretty capable guy, as shown in the gemini mission where he saved himself and his fellow astronauts with RCS controls. His quick thinking abilities and general knowledge to spacecraft control makes him an excellent choice during emergencies, especially those that happen on the far side of the moon.

You still need to take in the vertical acceleration, and killing the vertical velocity. -
Also, even with this, there is no proximity detonation on my weapons. Bullets that fly past are still not blowing up.

You need to switch the HE to sabot in the resource\ammo cfg i believe. A radio guided bomb/missile may be nice, and would be more versatile than other types of agms. Especially if your craft is designed to not have radar/laser guidance, and you are hitting a running target. Why would an AI caapable of flying remotely and engage in air fights by flying straight and fring its guns at the enemy not be able to use its "sight" to bomb?

NASA launches safety investigation of SpaceX and Boeing

All current american vehicles build on the experience and work of previous generations. How much are copycats and how much are new innovation i do not know, but that is how civilization advance. Same for the russians and chinese and indians. Any chance this leads to the cancel of the commercial crew program? -

Also, the capsules offer steering by rolling and offsetting the CoM. You can try that in ksp. -

Yes. Practically all current spaceflight hardware are improved, extended age old hardware.
