@panzer1b Thank you for this visual setup! I have spent the last hour playing around with it, in 1.7.0. So far, seemingly stutter free on an MSI laptop w/8th gen i5; a GTX 1050ti GPU and 8g RAM. Beautiful mod!

I always break in a new version with a career save. Have gotten where I do it in hard mode, though. (No reverts, and permadeath)

Thought I showed you that one already, on another site. -

Maybe I can launch something large enough to move this.... Worth a try. -
Do you want Mün Base für Computer Players?
Ratwerke_Actual replied to releansol's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That, and a requirement to haul certain non mineable parts, etc. But magic, prebuilt cheaty mcbase, no. -
No cloud reflections in faceplate? Literally un-playable!

A new name for the Kerbol
Ratwerke_Actual replied to enderger's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Or Kevin. -
Some of us build things that fit in neither.

Finished the Asteroid Station. All 17 rocks. Now, to build a bigger one.

A new name for the Kerbol

If sourced properly, I will listen. I know all about this in my day job. -
A new name for the Kerbol

Except for that pesky little fact that Mün only appears scrawled on a cartoon rocket as artwork. Everywhere else, it's Mun. -
Or maybe they are waiting for the black hole photos to be released. I wish they would hurry, though. I have a 200 meter station with RCS blocks that I cannot read. ;-P

Spent most of the evening setting up new MSI GV62 laptop. I no longer potato. Video of Asteroid docking. Sorry about length and silence, but it is interesting how wobbly the station gets after docking. Also zero lag on the new laptop!

Time to double up on your posts, then. I certainly enjoy your content a lot. Some people Space, some Fly, some Drive. On my end, my stress reliever is creating more stress. OK, that's 15 asteroids docked. Physics are getting interesting; Time to call it a night.

Revisited an Old Save, Started Docking the Rest of The Asteroids. Have spots for nine more.

What is your most facepalm-worthy moment regarding KSP?
Ratwerke_Actual replied to MaverickSawyer's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Unless there was a change in recent times, an ore tank ( even a tiny one ) is required. -
Today I got the potato netbook to cooperate with vid-cap of my Eve Direct Ascent to Kerbin craft. A 30 ton payload to Orbit, consisting of a Mk1-3 capsule w/service module, two crew cabins and four inflatable airlocks serving as snack storage, bunks and a shower. That's a technical capacity of 11, so 3 Kerbals have space to stretch on the journey home. Additionally, all debris is left on atmospheric path to eliminate orbital or interplanetary debris. Yes I know all the incoming critiques about this particular gravity turn. I decided to share this one, warts and all. Still had enough Δv to get home. Also of note, the SM25 service module still occasionally breaks the universe, as seen after staging the side panels. (yes @SQUAD please fix this part any time soon) If my new gaming laptop ever arrives, I may film one done right.

After Eve launch, I had just under 1500m/s Δv remaining in my 30ton direct ascent return vehicle/hab module. Decided to go for it anyway. The transfer burn left me with 48m/s. The mid course correction at the descending node left me with 5m/s. I also used a lot of RCS for this maneuver. Coming in hot. Home sweet home. Big shout to @Reinhart Mk.1 for his Eve thread... Haven't focused on Eve since the 1.0.5 days, and never with a direct ascent/return vehicle this large.

Well thanks, just trying to get something to stick to the surface... Apparently even steel girders wont stay put. Notice how it is so determined to slide down hill, it scoots around Jebediah.
