  1. Thank you all for the great replies. Very helpful and informative. Had looked for a tool sometime ago to help with this, and found KSPTOT, but it was so dated that I just assumed it wouldn't work anymore. Getting some gravity assists working would really be fun, going to give it a try.
  2. Using KSRSS x2.5...working well for me. I have a question about travel times. I recently planned a transfer to Uranus using TWP. Looking 40 years ahead, the shortest travel time was about 17 years. I settled on a transfer that will take about 21 years. Question is...why so long? I believe that the Voyager missions each reached Uranus within 10 years of launching. So, with x2.5, which is about 1/4 as vast as our real solar system, why does it take so much longer in KSP space? Don't think this is a problem, just trying to understand.
  3. Hi lemon cup, thanks for your input... Using the dV map on the OP...for x2.5...perhaps I'm misinterrpreting... but I think it shows an ascent of 5375 needed to get above the atm, and a total of 6855 to orbit. Doesn't that mean 6855 to low orbit?
  4. KSP 1.12.3/Kopernicus 2:1.12.1-77/KSRSS 0.7/Sigma Dimensions v0.10.8 Would like to have KSRSS with scale x2.5. However, using above, I'm able to launch into low Earth orbit with only about 5000 dV (should be more like 6900, looking at dV map). Seems that I have x1 scale? Do I need to edit the Sigma Dimensions config to get x2.5? For reference, I'm seeing the Moon's orbit is about 91000 Km above Earth; Earth orbit is about 35M Km above the Sun.
  5. KSP 1.12/BG/MH/JNSQ 0.10.0 I am not finding ground scatters or scan points on Kerbin using F12-Breaking Ground-Ground Scatters. I do find them on The Mun. Does anyone see scan points and ground scatters on Kerbin? Thanks in advance.
  6. Does anyone have a delta-v map for GEP/GEP_Primary/GEP_Rescale?
  7. Thank you, HvP. I could not find those items in the coupling, or any other category. I checked the validity of my KSP installation (using the Steam client) and found 200+ files needing update. After fixing, I have the engine plates.
  8. KSP 1.11.2+Breaking Ground+Making History Engine plates. I haven't used them much, but I know that we used to have them. I can't find them now - are they still in the sim? If so, where in the VAB should I find them?
  9. Hmmm. Are they in JNSQ though? Another thing to try is compare it with release 40. That's the release before the culling was added. It would certainly be stock behavior and rule out whether the culling code is doing this or not. @Quickspin, if you have a moment to test that, I'd be appreciative. I was using BE 1101-20 when I deployed the rover on Gilly. That's when I didn't find scatters (or just didn't see them). When I saw your changes in 1101-41, I updated to that thinking maybe something would change, but it seemed the same. So, the idea that Gilly has sparse scatters in JNSQ is probably correct. Given that, if you still think moving the rover would be a helpful test, I'll do that and report back in a day or two.
  10. It's possible the land scatter culler (a recently added feature) is going a bit overboard. Can anybody confirm if this is intended behavior? If that is the origin, setting Kopernicus_Config.cfg's "ScatterCullDistance" to have two extra zeros on the end (so "1000000" instead of "10000") will effectively disable it. Given my rover's situation on Gilly, I don't see any difference between these two settings - 3 or 4 scatters. The terrain looks great, BTW.
  11. KSP 10.1/BG/BE 1101-41/JNSQ I've been using JNSQ and the BE branch since 1101-2 without any significant problems. Recently I sent a rover to Gilly and found no surface features and no scan points. I have rovers on the Mun and Minmus and see scatters and scan points on those bodies. Can anyone replicate this? Thanks. Edit: False alarm, my mistake. Seems that the scatters and scans points are there, they are just very few and far between.
  12. Using JNSQ with KSP 1.7.3 and BG expansion. I accepted and successfully completed a contract to scan a surface object on Kerbin (I think it was called a Bilboa Tree), with the OP-E scan arm. Then I accepted contracts to scan Mun Craters on the Mun and Olivine formations on Minmus, but using the same rover and scanner, I cannot get these scans to work. Is it possible to scan surface objects off-Kerbin at this time with JNSQ?
  13. KSP 1.3.1/RO 12.1.0/all required dependencies specified in the OP I'm unable to get RCS to work. I'm mounting thrusters directly on the fuel tank and have configured the fuel to match the thruster requirements. I've tried many combinations of thrusters and RCS tanks, but the engineering report in the VAB always indicates "consumers not receiving mono-propellant". If I uninstall RO/Real Fuels/Real Plume, RCS seems to work fine. Thanks for any help.
