Possible to get a standard size for space station modules?
Anariaq posted a topic in KSP1 Discussion
Hey Im just curious If we could get a standard size for space station modules. I\'m leaning toward 2m in diameter and 5m in length. Why I\'m thinking about this. Is when I finish my current shuttle. I want to make one that support future space station parts. And want to have something to go after. Don\'t know if this already been up to topic, I have searched and could not find any about standard size of modules for a space station. -

hmm think this will be a repost type of thing, seems not post when I did. But anyway. Did go with the right and left wing system. So I don\'t have to scratch my head to much figure it out Yes you will like this screenshots then thanks -

Many thanks. Did make me understand better how they work in KSP. I got some problems though. whenever I try to use symmetry when I attach the wing. It will go to single automatic. what I\'m I doing wrong? anyway start to look good Ya my problem is that I\'m not a programmer -

Don\'t have a clue when It will be done. Have a lot to learn about how setting up the .cfg in the different parts. The wings will be my biggest problem. The only thing I have done so far is only pod and a experimental SAS, engine and fuel for Mun lander MK2 that I have not released. -

Never said it before. But using Blender. And some update on the main shuttle. Finished with all but rear rcs. The nose that doubles as front RCS new texture on pod. the ASAS that will be behind the pod RCS fuel doubles as the main body of the shuttle. The fuel and engine holder. Note that it will look like it is OP with alot of fuel. But can\'t figure out how to make the wing contain fuel also. So the amount of fuel is from the wing and mainbody it self ( in the design ) Last but not least. The wing -

Many thanks, though could look better if I knew how to texture properly -

Well before I go and finish this one. I have decided to make a little shuttle first. To learn how airplane works in KSP. so far how it will look full connected and the texturing so far. fuel tank Also finished with the wings, only need to finish the engine. Then Ill go and figure out how to make it work in KSP. Will of course release it when Im done and it works. -

Thats the idea. Im planning to do that, but will as start only make a body without any cargo area. After testing and to see if I actually can make it fly. Then Ill start to make different type of cargo areas. little update, finally started to texture. As can be seen, Im not good at it -

Thanks. I do have a edge with UV mapping airplanes. Have build couple of planes for X-Plane. The only problem is texture, not good at it -
Well Nuka Corp has entered the world of shuttle. Currently I have of course going into something I have no Idea how to make it work So currently it is only 3d model Ill continue on. But will figure out sooner or later how to make it work inside KSP. So just gonna show the shuttle. The plan is to use this one as a recovery mission. To get out and catch a pod to return home to Kerbin. And secondary mission can be to send satellite out.

Thanks! took some time to find it. My eyes was more like ??? after a while looking for it with the satellite. But then I saw a flickering pixel, and then the mission started to locate it with a new mission with my mun lander. And land

That looks really like KSP 1.14.1 not 1.14.2 have you updated your version? For me all graphic settings are lowest at 1280x800 res. Have a bad laptop, but going to get a new computer in a week or 2

Finally found it. Was only going for a 1 pixel size indicator when I started to find it. here is my experience. So this is a picture where you can see how big the indicator is for me, when I started to descent for landing Closer up, things looks more promising. finally close enough to say that it is actually KSC on the Mun landed at location, trust me, I only had few seconds fuel left when I landed. This is where it is on Mun. If you want to find it you self. Don\'t look Closer look on the location just more info, and no nav grid, only says that it is located at KSC on Mun
-
Has started the mission to find the KSC. Send a probe to locate the location ( have not checked if any have found it yet ) But here is the picture series so far. This is the start of the mission after launch and decoupling of the first stage at orbit. Started the burn for Mun After the burn and leaving the comfort of Kerbin After some hours I reach the point of decoupling of the satellite for prep of orbit of the Mun finally at the orbit ( 51km alt ) Now the start of finding KSC Will after 5 orbits, and if I have not find it yet, Ill change the orbit to polar orbit. To cover as much as possible with this little satellite. Anariaq

Well this is a new design, not exactly something I would put in a same tread as the other, but maybe it is best in the future to hold all my mods in 1 tread. Guess it will also be a little better that way.
-
ROFL. well can always say that the designer has a specialty in making helmets you should see MK2 pod, that one looked totally like a helmet from the cartoon M.A.S.K
-
Many thanks! And please tell if you encounter problems. I\'m still learning how things work in KSP Thanks again!
-
This is a new model I made, was not fond of the original one I made, so this one is my best work so far. Hopefully there is no problem with it.
-
Haha now you mention it. It dos look a lot like a control tower. Have you tried it? just want to know if anyone have problems with it. It is the first model for KSP I have made. And not sure if I did everything correctly.

I have changed my Topic to something that is better than before. And I have started to move my files to Dropbox. Seems okay. But time will tell. ( And a weird attempt of a logo ) Korion is the new Capsule that I have made. Based on the Orion capsule. It is 1 meter. I know about the KW version. Though that one is 1.28 meter. And I needed a 1 meter version. Instead of asking them to make a smaller version. I made a more simple version. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/73884518/KSP/NTH_Korion.zip My Mun pod MK3 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/73884518/KSP/NTH_munpodmk3.zip My first ever model for KSP Mun pod MK1 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/73884518/KSP/NTH_munpod.zip Finished a 'alpha' version of the minipod. There is no interior. Only the exterior and is scaled down to original kerbal size. Download: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/73884518/KSP/NTH_minipod_mk1.zip
