  1. FYI to folks for Kerbin's crush depth. All parts I've tested are destroyed before 400m. Typically 398m or 399m. Just below 300m (~310m) you will start getting crush depth warnings. So if you have pressure limits on, the best record you can get credit for is 240m. That's 4 of 5 records. The last one is at 750m, which is only reachable with pressure limits off.
  2. Bob was on a military scholarship at the University studying Physics with a foreign language Minor when the War broke out. At graduation he was assigned to military intelligence as an analyst on foreign scientific developments and capabilities. He became one of the best in the group. In the middle of the War he was on a trip to a rear area command post to give a briefing and the plane he was riding made a crash landing. He was badly injured and it took him 6 months to recover. He has never liked air travel since then. He resumed his duties as the military intelligence science group administrator for the rest of the War. Afterward the War, Gene Kerman recruited him as the science and engineering team lead for the new Aeronautic research group. This group would later form the core of the new civilian Kerbal Space Program. It was Bob who persuaded Jeb to open up a "Junk Yard" business. The Aeronautic group used "Jeb's" as a cover to buy up war surplus parts and running a high tech manufacturing lab for making custom rocket parts.
  3. Bill was an aircraft mechanic during the War. He served as chief mechanic for Jeb's fighter and a couple of others. Jeb, a rich daring fighter pilot, was shot down near the end of the War flying a scouting mission near dusk. He bailed out wounded near the rocket factory of Von Braun. Val an aide to Von Braun discovered him badly wounded. She saved his life, treated his wounds, and captured him. A massive attack was planned against Von Braun's rocket complex. Jeb tried to talk Val against keeping him near the factory. She grew suspicious, after he insisted they needed to get out of there. She warned Von Braun and he arranged a trip for most of his staff the next day. Val and Von Braun brought Jeb with them instead of leaving him or turning him over to the MPs. The bombs came but most of Von Braun's team and a fair amount of his work was saved though the factory was destroyed. The alliance was clearly winning the War quickly. Jeb later was able to arrange protection for Von Braun's group from his friend Bob in miliary intelligence. Von Braun's group was able to surrender unharmed with most of their work. Jeb was rescued and War ended soon afterward. Jeb opened a sight seeing tourist air service on a tourist island. Bill ran a large aircraft shop near the Airport on the island. After the War, Bob was working in a research group with Gene Kerman. They had their successes and failures with unmanned rockets and craft, but mostly failures. Bob recruited Von Braun to assist under the table, as he couldn't bring Von Braun on to the team publicly. They realized they needed better parts. A secret operation was setup to build them. Bill was brought into create the parts from Von Braun's designs, and run the high tech research factory, nicknamed the "Junk Yard". That is when Bob talked a rich friend, Jeb, to open up a "Junk Yard" as cover. Jeb bought up some old junk for show, and Bill some War surplus aircraft and parts. But at the heart of the Junk Yard was its high tech research factory with the latest manufacturing equipment. Eventually a successful Mk1 capsule built and Bob was tasked with selecting a test pilot. Jeb had been giving private flight lessons to Val at the time. Val had passed her pilot license and was starting to give tours as Jeb's tourist business expanded. They were both invited to fly "just a test fight or two". From there, the rest is history.
  4. So I downloaded this one from Raptor9 on KerbalX back in 2016. He was awesome at presenting a good looking practical design. This rocket series was for early game in career mode.
  5. I just have a few from long ago. The posters were the best and I always just went to KerbalX to reference them. I only have a few I ever downloaded for his Javelin, Thunder, and Titan rocket series.
  6. I really like the Nav ball on the left. Never liked stuff obscuring much of the lower center.
  7. Yes, building the new fairings is not that intuitive either. Would be cool to have a single button that would automatically build the fairing. Or perhaps two buttons, one to automatically build it to minimize drag, and one to minimize mass.
  8. Reason for picking colors from the flag, is I find I spend 2 or 3 minutes trying to get the exact color to match my Flag colors. That just takes time with the current interface.
  9. Would be nice to pick agency colors from the selected flag. Either with a color picker on the GUI, like 5 prepopulated color buttons taken from the flag colors, or just as hex values in a agency custom config file with a custom flag.
  10. Just an FYI. The KSP2 standalone .zip download is just under 16GB. Plan on about an hour to download. My download is halfway done with another 25 minutes left. (I'm getting 5.5 MB/sec and my internet download speed typically tests in at about 25 MB/sec.)
  11. Has anyone tried Stategia in KSP 1.12.x with the latest versions of Kerbal Konstructs? These are the latest versions I found for these mods (some are tricky to find), which I'm going to try with KSP 1.12.3. Strategia -1.8.0 CustomBarnKit - 1.1.22.0 (dependency) Kerbal-Konstructs - 1.8.3 CustomPreLaunchChecks - 1.8.1.1 (KK dependency) Omega Stockalike Structures - 0.0.12 (never had a problem with this even though I know its old) ModuleManager (not sure which one yet)
  12. I'll test it in 1.11.2. Can you try it in 1.9.1. I didn't see any of these issues reported on the git hub page.
  13. Way cool mod, I have used it for years. Thanks, linuxgurugamer, for keeping it going!
  14. Look under "Automation" in the tech tree, its a tech 8 robot icon just above the lowest tech line for power.
  15. Question. Is TAC - Life Support v0.15.0 supported with KSP 1.10.1 or is a new release planned for it. If 0.15.0 is supported with KSP 1.10.1, then can I use the 1.10.1 version of Kerbal Planetary Base System (1.6.12) with the CommunityResourcePack and CommunityCategoryKit that comes with KPBS 1.6.12?
  16. The trick will be: LPE = Longitude of Periapsis [in degrees] MNA = Mean anomaly, how far you are from Periapsis [in Radians]. (yep, all the other angles are in degrees, this one is in radians)
  17. I love the mod. I have used it 1.4.x, 1.5.1, 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 without any issue. I have 3 loads with 1.6.1 using various mods, the oldest dating to 1/26/2019 and its always been solid. Works great. One note I don't have any mods that add new resources. I have two 1.6.1 loads which have a number of mods installed, and no issue. My top 3 mods I always load are TacFuelBalancer, Navball Docking Alignment Indicator, and MechJeb2. Remember this mod excels at resource transferring. Especially with quick transfers and hard to reach parts. Not just balancing or transferring fuel.
  18. Hmm. Sounds like a great idea. Might be great setting for "Beyond After Kerbin", where you journey from Solitude now Dynasty (aka Duna) to Rhode.
  19. I retested with only these mods. Same thing. Without TextureReplacer completely if fixes the pink visors, but all the craters are still there. So I don't think the new TextureReplacer is causing the issue, but it does fix the pink visors. Looks like something between 1.4.2 and 1.6.1. Here are the latest versions I'm using: Kopernicus-1.6.1-2 scatterer-0.0336 TextureReplacer-3.7 (new one) ModuleManager-4.0.2 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements-1.4.2.2
  20. I used the 1.4.2 version of Before Kerbin and replaced scatterer, Kopernicus, and EVE with the latest versions. I also removed KopernicusExpansion. This is with a fresh KSP 1.6.1 on windows; no making history. When I started it the start screen had purple/pink face plates on the 3 kerbals. Same in the game. I then replaced TextureReplacer with the latest version. That fixed the kerbals, and when I started a new game, it worked fine, but I noticed a lot more craters. I checked my 1.3.1 version and sure enough there were many more craters and they were much deeper. I even flew a jet to the next continent to the east and it was very obvious a bombardment had taken place, but it was really cool I even landed in couple of the crater lakes to make sure. Is there a custom build of TextureReplacer that is required? Also removing TextureReplacer or updating it fixes the pink visors, but the craters remain. I also started fresh with only these mods. Looks like a change from 1.4.2 to 1.6.1 Here are the updated mod versions I'm using. Kopernicus-1.6.1-2 scatterer-0.0336 ModuleMangager-4.0.2 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements-1.4.2.2 (tried removing this and no change to craters) TextureReplacer-3.7 (tried removing this and no change to craters)
