  1. already did see post #1 - ([snip] apparently you think 16x elevons is a "helicopter" ??? seriously ????) ...now show me collapsible vertical wings please because you clearly stated: (if there are no foldable wings then that means you are 100% full of it (...as opposed to 50%)
  2. you better not mean this (because that is definately NOT a helicopter); ? that's going to really be fun going *0.5mph in any direction other then upwards... not being of any point in career mode etc etc. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT (if folding wings aren't included then [snip]) *and don't say "oh nooo you can put a jet engine on it" (because that would be pointless).
  3. i always imagined them as blue or purple; but then we haven't met yet... they really are adding helicopters or are you just playing with my emotions ?
  4. your percieved "loss of incentive" is taking a fair while to catch up to the speculation...
  5. my christmas list currently (subject to change) is as follows: black holes randomly generated in outerspace to be probed and offset orbital trajectory and engage peoples brains (for fun obviously...) speedboats / water based launch site (for more fun) - leading to amphibious flying craft (for EVEN more fun) STOCK helicopters (wasd /ijkl - thrust shift ctrl (as in "gamepad / joystick"...) OR just animated rotor cabin with vertical thrust, other pieces, AS THIS HAS NOT BEEN ADRESSED VIA BREAKING GROUND (i appreciate it would be difficult to program a "two dimensional command pod specifically" for this purpose) (for more fun) clouds self explanatory (lighting is conductive to metal) (for more "drama") oh and also aliens from space to make the game more realistic.... being extraterrestrial animations to make outer space more engaging - like space worms popping up out of the ground to observe what you are doing... ("building bases on my home are you ???") THANKS IN ADVANCE. it would be nice to have a viable helocopter with klaw underneith to transport cargo from one place to the other as part of the missions "transport to island airbase" etc: which would be exponentially more fun then parking two vessels next to each other on kerbin etc in my own humble opinion.
  6. you are on kerbin and you go "forward" then you go down the runway... you are on kerbin and you go "outward" then you go into space.... - i will stick to my definition. Prograde and retrograde The chartreuse yellow prograde marker indicates the orientation of the velocity vector of the craft relative to the point of reference; it indicates in which direction the vessel is moving at that moment. 1) the point of reference is the *celestrial body. 2) direction of movement pertaining to the "orbital path" (fuel is not infinite...) - a prograde burn makes the orbital path ("circle") "bigger" so therefore it makes the space ship from the previous point in time (vs *reference); "outward" relative to the previous point of reference (being the orbital path prior to the burn).
  7. "prograde and retrograde" (yellow ones) are basically "outwards" and "inwards" respectively, (the blue ones are "left and right" and the pink ones are "up and down"). because your spaceship (aside from being awesome), is "floating about in space" - there is no "up down left right etc", because space has no "centre" like the earth does, and if something has no centre (no gravity to pulling towards), then there is no such thing as "up and down"; such is space. ...so some guy called them "prograde and retrograde" etc (annoying). i have trouble too, i can't even remember what the pink and blue ones are called... if you learn the function of (from the tutorial etc), then you don't need to remember the names, fortunately! (because if you needed to remember everything in game, then the game would suck big time... (imho))
  8. ...play the tutorials. to rendevouz you need to make sure target circle is in the correct direction of target orbit, bare in mind it is moving and you will be mostly going "upwards" to begin..(directly upwards if you are me (damn wind)). then you have to trim the prograde / retrograde / pink ones (forgot / waiting for 1.7...), until you are aligned, then either speed up or slow down to match velocities using target mode on your navball. then docking is a combination of going too fast and quick loading your save file OVER and OVER again basically. seriously though there is a really long winded docking tutorial and if you get that nailed then everything makes sense.
  9. i went straight to sandbox mode and built a crappy rocket that didn't make it out of the atmosphere, thought to myself "this games rubbish; positive reviews FOOL me [again]"... ...hundreds hours later i am stuck in the VAB again; i just got around to ore harvesting "rubbish game".
