Definitely! I do have a bad habit of designing a singular launcher (at least, one for each size class). I switch them out if they get old, but there's not much variety. I'll try my best to mix it up this save. I'll try my best, though I did mostly do some extra storytelling for this one since it's an important mission. I do enjoy writing storytelling parts, but it does get a bit exhausting (and repetitive, I feel. You can only have the same launch sequence so many times.) I do think it adds a lot of neat perspective for sure, so I'll try my best to incorporate some more. -
Continuing my JNSQ playthrough, I've finally launched the first Kerbal into orbit. Since it's an important mission, that means... Cue the dramatic angle screenshot spam! (for sanity's sake, I'll stuff it into a spoiler.)

Interesting, out of all mods I would have thought Kerbalism would have had failure modes for everything. Indeed, I originally designed a lot more spacecraft for future programs, but with lessons learned here, I'm going back and designing them with even more redundancy out of fear. It's something that I never even considered before installing a failures mod, which has been really eye-opening. You really have to do a lot more testing and design than just 'haha space rocket go boom.' Hopefully, they actually work! -

Sorry for the delay, the first time I wrote this chapter I was about 90% done when I accidentally hit refresh, and the forum editor didn't catch it like it usually does. Also, I've been trying to fix a few mod issues (all fixed now!). Anyways, this isn't the most exciting of chapters, but it does lay the foundation for the next one. Small sidenote, I probably spend the majority of the time I spend writing chapters actually just looking for a quote, so if anyone has any good quotes, please send them to me. Um I'm not sure actually, I'm just using the default JNSQ scatterer configs. Sorry that I can't be of much help here, I don't really understand this haha. That would be the bottom of the command pod seen through the water. -
Alright, I added SRB waterfall effects back and modified the patches as shown, and everything is working now! Thank you very much! So that was a rabbit hole of things - because of a missing bit in RSE's patches, when SRB waterfall effects and RSE are installed together, Realplume is broken. At least, that's what I think happened. Thank you all for the help!

Yes, I have SRB waterfall effects installed that adds Waterfall configs to SRBs, and also uses Realplume for the smoke effects. I had no idea it might be causing problems, I'll uninstall it and see what happens.
