  2. Well, the base is extra mass that your ship has to push, so it will have less D/v

  4. Yeah, It seems like KSP2 is sticking with the questionable modelling choices of KSP1, notably on the 1-3 command pod, where the chutes don't mount flush. Hopefully the models will still work and the textures will only need mild editing to use the PBR stuff. Restock Classic.
  5. I think you're spot on. I mean, unsurprisingly you are very well qualified, and meet all of their criteria. As for it being the right position..... Parts Designer I mean..... *looks at dev thread and many gorgeous mods* It almost seems tailor made, and they have been clear about being big fans in the past. Honestly even having you on the team as a consultant would be a huge boon to KSP2.

  10. An RL10 based architecture would have the advantage of possible ISRU usage. I suppose the density of UDMH and NTO as well as the storability would be good for a large propellant depot in lunar orbit.

  12. I’ll see if I can make one later tonight. It will probably be an RL10 Lunex derivative. Maybe with slightly reduced thrust and ISP with increased mass to compensate for its restart capability. The RL10 can theoretically ignite as many times as necessary, and is limited by the amount of electricity required to do so. It’s a very good engine for landing.
  13. I noticed that @DylanSemrau asked about an internship. This isn't exactly an internship, but it's worth mentioning.

  15. Would that be colored thermal blankets or different metal tones? What would it entail?
