Once, in 2012. Only time I’ve experienced snow.

Just, marvel at that monstrosity of a beautiful machine!

On the subject of eggs, people do occasionally eat ostrich eggs, and I have seen at least a few times ostrich eggs used as decorative pieces for display, mostly in middle of nowhere padstalle (road stalls). It’s very common to see ostrich feathers glued to wood as a duster though. Also: South Africa has no lakes, all free standing on land bodies of water are pools or dams. We also have the longest aquaduct in the southern hemisphere, and fourth longest in the world. Edit: according to my parents ostrich meat is a red meat, more like a fatless steak than a chicken.

Built a jet, the ‘vlermuis’ (Bat), a panther, an intake, and some spars to fit the wheels on. No pics, since I am not at my laptop, but afterburner takeoffs are fun, also I landed on the runway. also I did an unmodding spree, so now it’s mostly stock, with waterfall, eve, and scatterer, and also atomic age, kas, and a few others.

F35 nickname brainstorm
Hyperspace Industries replied to Hyperspace Industries's topic in Science & Spaceflight
No sir, I do not, though I do know of the massively overbudget problem. Maybe, hired gun would be a more appropriate nickname. -
The F35 needs a nickname, lightning 2 doesn’t roll off the tongue, and it currently has two nicknames: the Panther, from the US marines, and the Fat Amy, from the navy. I just wondered, what would we nickname it, so, what would you? Personally, my pick is the Sniper, since it is built to see the target before it sees it, and attack from range, and not to dogfight, which is not it’s skill.

Try building atmospheric planes and copters and such. Consider getting mods, even something like KAS, which is relatively small, is ridiculous fun, others such as atomic age, mk2 expansion, and Kerbal base systems, are loads of fun.

For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread
Hyperspace Industries replied to Skyler4856's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Forgot about that, sorry. Naturally, of course it was too expensive. Forgot about market size, there is a market, just one so small that you basically need to run out of other markets first. -

Why can’t we outfit old supersonic bombers (Boeing B-58 hustler, Tu-22, etc.) as passenger planes, it would probably be a not too bad ride for passengers, and I could see a market for getting somewhere ridiculously fast with reasonable seating, emergencies, politicians, so on. It would have a much smaller upfront cost than building a concorde, even though fuel would be expensive. -
Post Your Ultimate Handworks Here!
Hyperspace Industries replied to Kerbal123_Furry's topic in The Lounge
It will be a while (read: Sunday) till I get home, plus I’m not sure I have pictures of all of it. Actually, on further consideration, mind if I don’t? I would like to keep the photos, for safety reasons, among others. Just imagine a bunch of duck tape. -

Countless nonfunctional electrolysers, loads of lego mocs, recently a bunch of airfoils and attempted gliders from scrap cardboard, which have actually started working, and a small cart thingy of piping I rid on. No pics though, since I don’t have my laptop here. -
I don’t know what happened with me then, there was no prep, just wait till I stop panicking, put that blue cloth thing in the liquid nitrogen, then put it on me, it hurt, worst pain I have ever felt, eventually I managed to get out (by which I mean force the door open and run) and was lucky that the desk secretary opened the door, shut the door behind me, and ran full speed into the rain. Later I had a bulbous purple ball sticking out where the burn was for a good long time until it popped and painlessly spat out its contents. And that over a wart, it wasn’t painful at all that wart, it just ‘looked ugly.’ This is a major cause for my despise of doing anything for aesthetics. Much to my nice and tidy, thinks looks matter mom’s annoyance. But anyways, on that note: Fact, any plane that winds up pretty did it most likely by happy accident. And that’s exactly what happend there.
