Community Parts Titles Extras: CCK - No Duplicates seems to cause the Mk3 Cockpit to disappear from my parts list. It's weird because I can still load crafts with the cockpit, but it doesn't appear in my parts list or when I search for it. After uninstalling, the part immediately returns.

[1.12.x] NavBallTextureChanger Updated, now with UI
Trekky0623 replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hope it's OK to bump this for navballs. I made this Apollo-esque one for KSP. The lines are all constant width on the navball, as are the numbers. There are some other Apollo navballs that have been posted, but usually, IMO, in an attempt to be as accurate as possible, they color the hemispheres split down a meridian instead of along the equator in order to get the gimbal lock circles at the poles. I think it's more important to keep KSP's combined navball and artificial horizon theme, so on this ball, the poles are red, but the hemispheres are still split into black and white at the equator, not along a meridian. Navball: Emissive: -
The wrinkles on the flag. I think those might not be necessary anymore, though.
-
Thanks. I thought they would. The flags have to be in a ratio of 16:10 and are usually 256x160, but in my experience increasing that to 512x320 gives better resolution. I'll upload some 256 versions though.
-
Overlay = wavy Do they? I thought 512 x 320 would work. I'll test when I get home. If not I'll do a quick update.

This is a pack of 500 flags from nations, fiction, organizations, history, movements. . . All kinds of flags. The goal of this pack was to make the flags in such a way so that they were aesthetically pleasing at KSP's 16:10 flag ratio. I've often seen flags taken from other sources resized to fit KSP's ratio, and too often they come out distorted. For example: Using construction sheets for the flags, I've instead made each flag by hand to be (a) the correct ratio, and (b) stay true to the flag's construction as much as possible in terms of the size of objects and their placement. This pack includes: 216 flags from nations and autonomous regions 81 state and provincial flags 107 flags from various fictional media (Fallout, Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Futurama, The Expanse) 22 flags from various organizations 55 flags from history (including 40 American flags with various counts of stars) 9 flags from various movements 10 miscellaneous flags In 2 flavors: Flags without overlay (MEGA) Flags with overlay (MEGA) In the future I may add more flags. I like the stock Navball, but it's not very readable. I threw this together as a sort of "stock replacement".

[Request] Make Bob Bill and Bill Bob.
Trekky0623 replied to Trekky0623's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Anyway to make it automatic when you start a new game? This was more of a shower thought request. Well they'll still be there, just having switched jobs. Anyway to make it automatic when you start a new game? This was more of a shower thought request. -

[1.0.5 - Alpha 6] Dang It! (12 september 2015)
Trekky0623 replied to Ippo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I made this alternative alarm sound if anyone wants it. It's supposed to sound like the master alarm from the movie Apollo 13, but it's not an exact match. -

[1.3] kOS Scriptable Autopilot System v1.1.3.0
Trekky0623 replied to erendrake's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hi, This is all new to me, but I have a question. Is there any way to write programs that return values? Like, say I want to write a program that calculates orbital velocity for a circular orbit at a given altitude. Can I run something like orbitv(100000) and have it return a value? -
Is there any way to make the lazors invisible, or to hide them? I don't really like lazors coming off my ship shooting into the unknown all the time.

Why won't my rover wheels grip? [re-post]
Trekky0623 replied to flightmaster's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Is there any way to alter the stock wheels to give them some friction, like the Bobcat DEMVs? Even on Kerbin, they seem to be getting WAY less traction than they should, and it takes a good long time to brake to a stop. -
My first working shuttle orbiter
Trekky0623 replied to Trekky0623's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Sorry. It told me I could only have five images the first time, so I split them up that way. -
Took a long time to make this. The shuttle really is an incredibly complex machine. The main problems I faced were balance issues. I'm attaching a huge craft to the side of a rocket or fuel tank, so obviously there are going to be some balance issues. After experimenting with SRBs a little, I scrapped them deeming them too complicated to add to an already complex project. So instead, the orbiter is attached to the side of a rocket. Another thing about balance is that as the external fuel tank uses fuel, the weight balance changes, meaning we have to change the net force on the craft. Normally, I'd reduce the power on the rocket the shuttle is riding on. However, this is Kerbal and we can't do that, so instead there are side mounted rockets that are ejected as the external fuel tank uses fuel. I think I was able to get it balanced without making it too complex. All right, enough talk. Here she is: The back, showing the rockets that will be discarded. So the point of this was to show that you can make a simple orbiter in Kerbal Space Program without resorting to ridiculously huge contraptions. I might post a video later.
