The only ones that really bother me are the ones that make webs everyday in the alleyway behind my house. In the morning, when I take my bike to work, I have to hold my arm in a knife-like fashion before my head to cut a way through them. The other ones don't bother me much, even when I'm crawling under my house. We don't have those giant things here fortunately.

Do you also want the game to deny you trying to EVA during a re-entry? Or deny you to launch if KSP considers your rocket to be unfit for space? Perhaps you are right and they should limit it in the way you said. But if this is done with every case like this one then I'm sure we'll get a very different KSP than we have now.

Ha! Nice "unorthodox" use of parts! For I can never come up with other uses than default. It's was the same thing for me with Lego. I had a frying pan and I used it... in a kitchen of course. Here comes some guy on the internet and used it as a sensor on a robot!

Oh, I pictured a phoenix! No worries though, the poor things're there somewhere, in the shade with their beaks wide open.

Watching this thread makes me want to bust out the scope as well. Man, it's been almost a week now of bad weather and general cloudyness at my place! If this goes on, I might try to watch indoors.

Welcome and job well done! I started out lurking as well, but it's been this way for me for every forum I became a part of. Original rover by the way! Especially like the stacked/staggered seating and wheel arrangement.

Though I haven't experimented a lot with off-center thrust myself, from the picture I can deduce something: The upper engine is 2 engine heights above the wing, the other two engines are directly under the wing. Thus the upper engine has a twice as long arm, thus it generates approximately the same pitch-down force as the other 2 engines do pitch-up. Also, almost any plane has at different speeds a different pitch-angle and trim needed in level flight. Almost never is everything perfectly canceled out with each other all the time. Instead, manufacturers try to get the most optimum setup for a plane at cruise-speed/height.

[KSP Kontroller] Artwork almost finished...
T-Bouw replied to BurnPrograde's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Your artwork looks good! I especially like the little details such as the coffeemug-stain and the defacing komments. I'm eager to see your finished product! -
A good couple of hours I've enjoyed myself with this game, even in single-player. It gives me great fun starting from (almost) nothing to making big sprawling monstrosities! Some things are keeping me from loving it 100%. SE is very resource intensive. My computer is simply not up to the task of generating and sustaining medium to big environments, let alone, multi-player ones. Also, the creators have the habit of feature-creep. Optimisations are rare.

This sounds interesting and I'm keen on trying it. Can anyone tell me what it is that's not 100% real time? Is control-input a little laggy this way?
-
I don't want to sound like Captain Obvious here, but have you tried lowering graphical settings? GPU is impacted the most this way, but surely the CPU will be a little offloaded as well?

Wow! You guys are my heroes! That site vgmusic along with GXSCC as player really does a number on my nostalgia! Before we had a 486, we had an MSX. That thing was awesome. My family and I played on it all the time.

Not at all, I love attack helicopters too! Alas, against a fighter-plane, they're a sitting duck. Heli's have no air-superiority over a fighterplane. No, the role of heli's is that of support for ground forces.

The soundtrack of Tyrian 2000 is among my favorite MIDI-songs of the nineties!

How do you pronounce different *KSP* things?
T-Bouw replied to Robotengineer's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I consulted IPA-spelled words often, but to know how to read IPA is almost a study of its own. -
How do you pronounce different *KSP* things?
T-Bouw replied to Robotengineer's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I thought this was another anti/joke-thread. But this seems for realz. On topic: I pronounce the names like an English-speaker would eventhough I'm non-English. -
I think this game should have been written in Java with OpenGL
T-Bouw replied to Xyphos's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Make no mistake, MineCraft had plenty of crashes, especially in the beginning builds. Perhaps even more so than KSP now. I should know, I played MC from alpha onwards. Java and Unity are engines that can do almost everything on almost any platform. The downside is that any game made with such an engine is always going to run worse than the same game made with a custom engine specifically written for it (like steve_v said). The best chance you will have for a superb running KSP is on the PS4. That is known hardware that's the same for everyone, thus games can be written optimally. As long as people have different computers, there'll always be some who'll have problems. This goes for any engine. The best Squad can do is hear those problems and correct them when they can. -
Ooh, I can't wait for multiplayer to be implemented and watch similar but more heated "discussions" ensue. I'll have to stock up on popcorn...

Wha, what? How was he ever expecting to make a turn with...with that?!
-
If you don't mind, I snatched a few while is was here. These are too good to pass up! There're some pics in there that I've never seen before.

Planes + Lasers? Can I have my ADFX-01 Morgan already?
-
It might be blocked indeed, just like you said. Such things happend at my work as well until our fire-wall got tweaked.

HyperBeast Spaceplane (VTOL, SSTO and more!)
T-Bouw replied to JZ6's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I must say, I'm a sucker for looks too. How about it JZ6? Show us your stuff! -
HyperBeast Spaceplane (VTOL, SSTO and more!)
T-Bouw replied to JZ6's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Yes! Exactly like that! Nothing wrong with that picture. I like grand-tour-craft that can do everything. What's your reasoning for using the small landing gear bays? Easy entry/exit?
