  1. In my humble opinion, I blame the overly forward mass of the airbreathing engines. It was meant to make balancing planes easier, but in practice, this is only true for medium-sized planes (mk 2 plane-parts). Anything bigger is virtually unaffected by this mass-shift forwards and small planes (like yours) come out looking "off" with their main wings needing to be placed waaay forward.
  2. If you are running a Windows-version, I believe alt+printscreen makes a screenshot only of your active window. Even the most simple, low-res picture says more than a thousand words!
  3. Ha! A fact rolled up in a pun. Nice one! fun fact Pyramid 2: Italy build some pyramids instead of regular towers along their walls to save costs.
  4. Better buy a G-suit along with that Tesla...
  5. Flymetothemun reminds me of the nice and relaxing song of the same name! Also, the guy is a veteran who has been around for ages and only posts when it really matters.
  6. At first I thought it was about the movie: Though a super-accelerating Tesla is also nice I suppose.
  7. Indeed, they said as much. Though keep in mind that 1.1 has a Unity engine overhaul in it. Those changes typically do corrupt old saves.
  8. I feel especially dirty using them in VTOL's or other craft that don't have them in real life. Though when I don't yet have RCS unlocked in a career, then I'll use reaction wheels until I do.
  9. You seem like a veteran, therefore you are perhaps used to the old contracts-system which paid more science for missions. I was too you know. In these new versions science is primarily gained from doing lots of different science activities in different situations at different locations. Do a Crew report whenever you can, EVA reports for even more science. Mystery Goo is handy in the beginning and the Science Jr. gives tonnes of science once you unlock it.
  10. No, it's not 'Skuad', it's Skull.
  11. I think it is indeed a little overcomplicating things. But at the same time, there's nothing stopping us from making an empty rocket under the limit and refueling it on the pad right? Otherwise Squad has to make the crawlerway have it's own upgrade levels and versions only for the people that want this bit of more realism.
  12. Yeah nice find! Though now I would like to know if Squad has permission of NASA to use that image, albeight a little modified.
  13. Nice! How is the Floating Pad coping with the destructive exhaust of the Hovercraft?
  14. That K stuff is not consistent, that's for sure. I think Squad just does something like this when they're in the mood, just like the Kommunity
  15. I second clipping. It's a known fact that heavy clipping results in unstable craft. It used to be much worse but it's still possible. Also, try the craft in a clean (second) install to eliminate the possibility of it being a mod.
  16. Your bay is packed! Yes, I find the cargo bay especially handy for making VTOL's. I use it mainly to balance the fuel load as well as the lifter-engine(s) and Monoprop. Those bays make for cool custom modules. Oh, and let's not forget that all that "junk" is neatly stowed behind doors.
  17. Sitting, standing, I tilt to the left-side, making contact with only my left leg/rear, so technically, I sit/stand 50/50. There's no option for that...
  18. The notes are not only handy, but funny too!
  19. Not a fan of white cars, or cars with a black hood and this one has both. But THIS car speaks to me. I like it!
  20. All my planes always get equiped with a parashute on top at the COM. You know...for safety. Or when I'm feeling lazy to make a proper landing. But they always have them, even the ones in Sandbox.
  21. Wahaha! KSP animals/insects always make me smile. Good job! Did you launch it into space proper or was it an edit? It looks like it would fly horrendously.
  22. Today I drove over a bridge, but the numerous patches, repairs and whatnot reminded me of the Level 2 Runway.

    Disaster!

So something good came out of this for you! Though you might want to destroy your old HDD. Screw it open, take the nice magnets out and take a drill to the plates (not the small 2,5" ones though! those are made from glass). I might take my GF up on her request for a backup...
  24. It sounds like the 2 T.16000M's might have the same ID in their USB-protocol. If I remember correctly, according to the USB-standard, USB-pheripherals should present unique ID's even when they are of the same model, in order for them to be told apart. Does Windows see 2 separate joysticks?
  25. Perhaps there are some background programs running updates? Downloads you started yourself? Did you recently install a program that is running in the background? (those cost RAM) It's also a good idea to check if your harddrive is in need of a defrag and run it if so.
