The analog mappings for kerbals on EVA are only for the backpack.
These could also be used for analog walking in an older version. Sadly, that's gone now.I've also tried to map the camera to the right stick, though it annoys me that it's relative movement and not absolute.
So now, when you let go of the stick, the camera stays where you put it, where in absolute mode it would return to the center. This is my preferred mapping of the Xbox controller (non-rocket):
Left stick: Throttle (incremental) and Yaw (also yaw rover), everything 1/3 deadzone
Right stick: Roll and Pitch, both 1/4 deadzone
Left trigger: Throttle rover (reverse)
Right trigger: Throttle rover
Left stick button: Zero Throttle
Right stick button: Gear
POV: Camera!
Left bumper: Brake
Right bumber: Action group (mostly abort since that's available sooner than the rest in career)
A: Stage
B: SAS toggle
X: RCS toggle
Y: Optional function (mostly action group 1 or 2)
Select: Map
Start: PauzeHope this'll help you out!

Are your elevators perpendicular to the hull-surface?
A V-tail for instance introduces some forces other than pitch when commanded to move as such. -
It seems Charlie brings out the best in you!
With that, I'm sure you can succeed in stopping smoking permanently.
I know it can be done. My mom stopped smoking cold-turkey after 45 years of the stuff. It's been about 5 years now.
So I'm very proud of her and of you. Now, you can bring out the best of your granddaughter!

Well, the multicast-screens at my work sometimes display the entire gui!
And the occasional BSOD.
How jarring when I want to view the weather report... -
Hmm, before reading this topic I never thought that a space walk using magnetic boots could be difficult.
Although I still think it could be possible albeit with a different gait.
Practical? I doubt it.About the muscle atrophy. Most spacefarers work out to counter this effect to some extent, so it's not that they'll develop completely useless legs.

You could try to move weight more towards the center of the plane. That will help for maneuverability.
Use shorter wings for the same reason. That will certainly improve rolling.
-
In the meantime, can't you, like, just display the video normally on the rift? No 3D but regular old 2D?
At the very least you'll still have the intuitively looking around the cockpit thing.
-
You could look for a second-hand one, though that can be hit or miss (I've had both).
I you do, I will recommend trying before buying, meaning that you should examine it in person to feel if it has slop or not.
And even if you think the mechanics are good, it could have a bad potentiometer. But if you're handy, it won't cost you much going this route.I scored a perfectly fine Saitek X45 this way.

Ah, you watched Jeff Dunham's Walter as well eh?
On topic: Older people went trough more than one might think.
Now I'm 32 and I regret not talking much about the old days with my grandparents when I was younger and able to do so.
I was interrested in different things back then. -
What? You're a Kraken tamer?
Trying to harness a force that's a cheater itself is thus also cheating!

As an someone working in the ICT-sector, I understand your reasoning for the forum migration now.
In my view, there's almost nothing more important than a safe system.Good work as always!
Hope the change in routine doesn't impact everyone's workflow to much. Programmers especially so...;) -
Handy! Because I always forget to set my own flag when I started a new game.
Btw. It might be free now, but wait until you've wrecked it...
-
I'm almost getting scrolling-burns on my index finger...
-
Good job working so hard on the migration.
Although it works a little different, it still somewhat feels the same.
I encountered a problem quickly though. The devnotes are gibberish for me. Almost like they are displayed in raw html or something.
A sample of the first few lines as displayed on my screen:
Spoiler<figure data-orig-width="480" data-orig-height="92" class="tmblr-full"><img data-orig-width="480" data-orig-height="92" src="http://41.media.tumblr.com/0ff9377afa68dc3ad3fe6844aaf1bd38/tumblr_inline_nycbugT0Qm1rr2wit_540.jpg"/></figure><p>Hi everyone!</p><p>This is a week in which we made a big decision: we have to owe up to setting too optimistic goals. Kerbal Space Program is a labor of love, and we want to see the game all it possibly can be. In the case of update 1.1, three weeks of QA & experimentals just wouldn’t do justice to the quality of the game we aim for if you consider that nearly all areas of the game have been updated in some way.

Bookifying is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
I have some printed out magazines I would like to bundle in book-form.
Though because of the way those are printed, it would have to be the glueing method. -
Well I did wish for a white christmas in a different thread...
That said, it does feel like it could come down any minute. It's pretty cold right now.
Btw, judging from the picture and the building style of the houses, I'd say you live in the same country as I! -
Granted, but then you get another skunk farting in front of your face, then the next and another and so on...until it's not funny anymore and you wished you hadden't wished such a wish.
Too bad, you only got one wish...
I wish my morning coffee was perfect everytime! You know, just how I like it. -
With a name like that, people might think you have an affinity for explosions Kablooey!.
-
Granted, but the box it comes in is unopenable. Even with tools. It now sits on your shelf, just...sitting there...doing nothing but gather dust. It is still sweet though!
I wish for transporter-technology to be specifically used to solve commuting. -
Granted, but this time the engines have their weight shifted even more forwards...
I wish for a white christmas. -
Nothing's better than a baryon sweep of course!
Make sure the crew and pets are vacated. Baryon particles kill everything... -
Now that looks like a submarine!
Not an underwaterplane or some such thing.
Good job! -
Also in the neither camp.
I pronounce the full name, though I caught myself trying to pronounce it as fast as I can since it's such a long name! -
Lately, I see a lot more people flying formations.
How do you do it?
Quickly switch between the craft? Use mods?

There are a few tutorials on the forum about building and flying an SSTO.
But the gist of it is that you should "exploit" your jets for as much as you can.
Meaning, you should fly as high as your jets can (almost starving for air), at that point you go horizontal and build up your speed.
Once the speed doesn't climb as fast anymore, punch your craft through the atmosphere.
When the jets almost starve for air again, shut them down and kick in the rocket (mode).
Also, go easy on the controls high up. You can easily lose control of your plane and that'll ruin your attempt or at the very least make it less efficiënt.
