With the stock science system, this would be impossible. To do this, i think you would have to code your own custom science module.

How about using a mod like SimpleConstruction or Extraplanetary Launchpads

Log One:
My name is Camnand Kerman. I have been selected to be Rover Engineer on the Munar Elcano mission. We still haven't named the rover yet but I guess that isn't important for now. The crew of the FastRover MK2 are Dummund Kerman (P), Janbles (E) and Jarey (S). We're almost all newbies to the KSP and I haven't even been to the Mun before, so this is kind of a very long training mission except for Jarey, she's the geologist that proposed this mission in the first place. Anyways, I will go get my screenshots from the MagicCamera 9000...

I don't think anyone here remembers my first attempt at a Mun Elcano, but ehh... here i go again
This time I'm using the Feline Utility Rovers mod by @Nils277 which gives me nice rover parts. Still can't think of a name though haha.

Would it be possible to make the KK editor use resources in a Vessel to spawn buildings? I can see how this could be used to make static colonies .

In my opinion, I think the Poodle should be given the Centaur config since it resembles the two-chamber variant of the Centaur.

I think we'd be seeing fusion drives before NTRs because the general public thinks fission bad fusion good (i mean a NERVA full of uranium fuel rods raining down doesn't sound very nice)

I don't have any motivation to do anything anymore. Not even play ksp, study or recreational. It feels like I can only operate normally for 3 to 4 hours of a day.

The Sparky 1 is the first orbit-capable launch system created by the Loony Space Program. It's basically the DumpsterFire-Ardy with 2 strap-on boosters.
First stage+Boosters: RD-103 + 2x XLR10
Boosters jettisoned.
Second stage: 3x AJ10-27
Third stage: GCRC booster
Fourth stage: GCRC booster
Success!

Okay, I've just put a satellite into orbit with a glorified V2 with 2 Viking Sounding Rockets as boosters. What next?
Well I guess I need to wait a bit to actually launch useful things into orbit though...
