  1. Part 4--Ascending From Eve

At this plateau i can easily escape the lower atmosphere.

    Chutes dethatched!

Boosters rain onto the ground. The lander will rise in a not-so-steep route, gravity turn start at 35000m.

Final stretch on the edge of atmosphere!Screenshot598.pngScreenshot600.png

Stable Orbit achieved! 2 layers of boosters all discarded. Due to the strange drag effect and a terrible 390 isp at eve lower atmosphere in old days the craft have no need to be too huge, making an eve return craft have a proper size.

A rescuer will soon be send...

  2. Last month when I was surfing in the forum for topics about 0.17, I found a topic about Eve return. I was shocked by this idea, which was treated as impossible before.

I did tons of testing but none of these designs succeed entering Eve orbit.

But, just before I give up, a video of Scott Manley appeared.

    He made it.

I copied his craft and made some tiny tweaks, reduced this craft's part count.

    So, let's return his miracle!

The current asset only has the 7 circles, but the 8th circle would have to be further out than the asset cutoff point. I have a feeling we'll need to go look for this arch in KSP2 to find out more.

Remember the missing planet in the scrapped story?

There's also a tiny lamp on the other side of Kerbol for Moho. It doesn't have an associated flare, but it has a circle on the glow texture and is clearly visible on the AO texture.

Unfortunately, the 3D asset for the golden arch cuts off not far from where the broken rocks end, so the part that would have had Kerbin is missing entirely. I guess, Squad and Intercept know their audience and were expecting people to dig.

    found it.

it is symmetry, Kerbin and eeloo might be on the other side.

    it's a kind of monument, i guess

The crash site is the arch's position! Craters around can prove this!

You may want to put that in a spoiler box ;) that arch has been making the rounds in the community as of late. It was added after the "something more?" sections in the KSP2 dev videos ended with a lander hitting the arch. Probably a map of the main system judging by the objects files.

According to my datamining, the lamps mean: Kerbol(big yellow lamp), Eve(purple one), Duna(yellow smaller one) and one buried into the rocks(big green lamp with 5 small lamps) which means Jool.

They skipped moho kerbin dres and eeloo. 1 skip 1 count.

And give me the link of it!

    It is 100% fake.

-The real Duna SSTV signal has an echo effect applied

-The signal volume is inconsistent with the rest of the game's volume

And this is a slight stretch, but if Squad added another signal, I'm willing to bet they would have used the mode Robot 24 instead of switching to Martin 2 for whatever reason.

Even just pressing one button to output the signal in robot mode would have made this 10x more convincing.

    I decoded it. RICKROLLED!
