Sorry, I'm not adding clouds - my texture pack is to improve the existing things, not add something new :/, but in future the devs will add clouds I think. What about this Kerbin I just worked, I thought it might be fitting: http://i.imgur.com/9of5Sbx.jpg ? I might want to add these water effects are on the normal map, not the color - so they are dynamic and dependent on light/shadow.
-
What you guys think about the water I did on Laythe? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/44135-0-21-x-Universe-Replacer-v3-2?p=600549&viewfull=1#post600549 I'm not sure if I should do that or keep the water smooth...
-
I'd be ok with you only distributing the changed ones that have clouds on them with a link to the original texture pack for credit and indicator of where the rest is near the download. Also, just finished Laythe - I'm actually surprised I managed to make Laythe look somewhat better o.o, Laythe Vanilla, Laythe Revamped
-
And he's not even mad.
-
I'm not saying it's not possible, you can draw pink bunnies all over the place if you wanted to, I'm just saying that the shadows will be generated on top of the color map. If you don't want that, you would have to put the shadows onto the color map, the clouds over that and then remove the normal map - basically like you have in the past.
-
I think that will look weird , my shadows are not on the color maps - I created proper normal maps, so when you put clouds on them, the ground shadows will be rendered on top of them . Still have Laythe, Vall, Tylo, Bop and Pol to do.
-
Yeah, it's sometimes hard to tell what I did on them, normally on ones that are already of good quality, but even if you don't see an immediate difference, they are all "higher definition" when you get closer to them due to sharper and/or bigger textures. As far as Eeloo goes, if you look at the gallery, you can see the difference in between vanilla and revamped.
-
Btw, I wouldn't mind some feedback on my textures :<, would like to know what you guys like/dislike.
-
MediaFire will only allow me to upload up to 200mb files, that's why I had to split it into more than one file - both are required. Normaly, like with 7zip or Winrar, all you have to do is extract the 001 part, and it will automatically extract both to become one 'extracted'-file.
-
Sorry, no idea...
-
Hmm, just downloaded the files and it works here. All-tho I don't know how to use the standard windows unzipper, I have 7zip/Winrar and just right-click the 001 file and extract, maybe try redownloading the second file? The naming of some files are probably wrong/out-dated, compare them to the ones in the Texture Files.txt.

Updated my texture pack to rev3 http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/44135-0-21-x-Universe-Replacer-v3-2?p=588163&viewfull=1#post588163

There is information on that on the front page under 'Useful Information': Getting your hands on original textures

-snippity snip snip-

Depends on what textures you change, Kerbals can be seen from everywhere I suppose - but if you are referring to celestial bodies, currently only the from-space textures are replaceable - but ground textures will follow some time in the future.
-
I'm currently working on my Celestial Bodies Revamped texture pack, when I'm done I will continue adding support for other textures to Universe Replacer - but if you find textures, go ahead and add it yourself for now, PM me the names and save me the work later .
-
I might add, that there is always the possibility that the texture authors created textures for a older version of Universe Replacer that uses outdated file names. You should go in and compare them to the "Texture List.txt"
-
You don't need a set of anything, every texture is independently exchangeable.
-
Nice of Scott Manley to feature Universe Replacer:
-
'I' don't have to post them on reddit, I'm welcoming all of you to do so - that's the reason I created it so I don't have to take care of the texture pack management anymore ^^.
-
Ok, so to make texture pack browsing and sharing easier, I decided to create a subreddit dedicated to texture packs for this mod: http://www.reddit.com/r/KSPTexturePacks/. It sucks that you can't have a proper image/gallery linked together with the post, but at least it gives us a rating system which will become useful. I'll be reworking the style abit over the days. My tip to anyone who want's to post something there, is to just post a link to a post here on the forum and the fist thing people should see is a Imgur gallery. I've collected most of the things in this thread and posted them there, if you want yours removed to do something new or out of what ever reasons, PM me HERE (not on reddit) - and I'll remove it.
-
-snip- just found the space port
-
I don't know what the issue is with EVA Followers, but it might be that KSPAddon bug, I added a fix for it into Universe Replacer and Kethane added a fix, which is why they are compatible - so its up to EVA Follower to bring compatibility to other mods. Or wait until the devs fix the class.
-
No, I spent a lot of time trying to find a way, but it's not possible atm. Maybe in the future if the devs add a material reference to the Kerbal class. Btw, if you guys creating textures want me to feature them on the front page, create a 'release-post' and link me to it with a 'pack-name' per PM. Look at this if you need an example.

Sorry, I'm sticking with MediaFire. I'll see when I make it, what ever I feel inspired to do.
