    Why not just use an extending solar panel instead? It would weigh a lot less and could also provide power. Plus you can put it away after you are done using it.

    IMO spaceplanes are definitely the hardest part of the game. I usually don't bother with the runway at all because rockets are so much easier. Still haven't been able to make an SSTO. You should post some pics of your plane so everyone can see it.

    5 parts? That's huge! Mine is much smaller. The SAS makes it drivable. It actually works pretty good. I might use it on a mission sometime.

    One way. Better to establish a colony early on than to make several return trips before making a colony. Plus once the colony is finished it could serve as a refueling station for later missions.

    what if Apollo 11 was a failure? Would the government close NASA because of the bad publicity? Would the Soviet Union land on the moon? Or would it strenghten the reslove of the American people and would we have a successful moon landing later? What ifs make my brain hurt.
