Lol, we don't need weapons mods. We can create ballistic missiles to destroy buildings of one another. Great!

Construction of KB-2 The Kraken attacks Well, another week has passed. Really glad that I didn't promise myself anything! I am really good at making these posts a bigger project than they should be, and procrastinate them away. ANYWAY... I started launching KB-2 with a very different design of the main bus... Main design choices The "Wanderer" lander can fit 4 (!!) Kerbals (Jeb, Val, Bob and Bill as mentioned in part description), so I didn't feel the need to add a crew cabin to the station. Might regret that later... still, with the capacity of 9 kerbals in munar orbit, included the cupola, I felt it was very spacious. The color scheme also changed, to metal and red. I really like the the shiny metal parts! I went for the same strategy as before, with basic necessities like EC, monopropellant and a little methalox together with a probe core. Stuck some antennas on there aswell for good measure. And yet again, a kerbal snuck on board! This time it was junior kerbonaut Gregmon Kerman. He will be heavily reprimanded by commander Val once they arrive to pick him up, but right now he's really glad he made it to space for his first time. Look how happy he is! I also designed a new station tug, with extra oomph. It is visible behind the station in the complete picture on the right, and here below on the left. With action groups you can toggle the engines, and it serves as both a large station tug to get heavy parts around, and as a service module for orbital manouvers of the station. It run's on methalox and uses the "Vernon" RCS thrusters. To the right again you will find the reaction wheel module. Will actually move the station around pretty well! But then, the Kraken attacked. The tentacles of Kraken As you can see in the picture, the struts from the launch of the solar array... well, the Kraken brushed by them and suddenly they've stuck to my medium station tug. This created some... interesting results, as you can see above. Undocking have caused some game freezes and crashes, and RCS translation for docking manouvers does not work at all anymore. So KB-2, volume one, will reside here for the time being, in orbit about 200 kilometres above the surface of the Mun. But... this does mean that KB-2 volume two will be constructed soon... below the spoilered slideshow you will find a lil' teaser! IMAGE SLIDESHOW HERE

Welcome to the forums! Hope you have a great time here!

How low was your apoapsis and periapsis? I would not venture in a munar orbit below 10km. But I have seen uncontrolled craft just disappear from map view, presumably destroyed, some 200km above Kerbin in timewarp.

Mr. Vanilla! I was there once, as well. Your footnotes does not make sense, and I love it! Welcome!

I just spent two hours building a Cassini-Huygens replica. I don't like ugly.

My First Ever Successful Rendezvous and Docking
Sylvi Fisthaug replied to Diamonder's topic in Mission Reports
What did you do for those two thousand hours? NOT build space stations? Build a space station! Hones docking skills. Presumably. -
I burned one tonne of monopropellant with my thrusters before I realized it was no use halved my speed without changing my trajectory. I'll see you again, Dres!! Until next time...!
-
It was a speck at my screen. I was not close. I was far away. Very far.

I quit playing for today. Tried going to Dres. Didn't work out. Some timewarp bugs, a few intercept bugs, some stuff with Delta V. Was it frustrating? Yes. Will I try the same mission tomorrow? Nope. Will I play tomorrow? Probably. Will I try the mission again when the update goes live? Oh yes. Will I be disappointed if and when some of the bugs are still persistent? Possibly. Will I stay on the forums to lament about the state of the game (which is in early access) until my eyes go sore? Nah, I'd rather go outside for a bit, touch some grass.

A lot of people in the community have expressed that they submit countless bug reports, often substantial, only to hear nothing in return. I have experienced this as well. Reaching out to every and each one submitting bugs sounds time consuming and tedious, but is it possible that a dev looking at the bug report on the forum simply "likes" it? uhm can we see your coolest spacecraft please Me too. Me neither. Thank you so much for this respectful mention (not saying you are not respectful the rest of your time on the forums, but still felt the need to highlight this) Are you old as well?? Congratulations! (I only view my self as old, so the rest of the world might not agree with my views)

Hello! Can't wait to see what you are cooking in KSP!

Nope, I'm including both parties in my rant. Although, most members here know which party I'm at. Trying to not let that sature my post. In this section I am highlighting the party that enjoys the game.

I am absolutely not a mod, and quite new to the forums. But I do not understand why the Dev Posts are kept active all week until the next one drops. The reason I do not understand it, is that the threads are almost instantly, in my opinion, derailed into "I hate the game" and "I disagree, the game is good", and not staying relevant to the topic of the Dev Post itself. Several times the mods have had to intervene in this thread just because community members, presumably on both sides, are not even able to keep it civil. The endless discussion makes these forums a lesser place to be for everyone, and on the hate side I see the same few people again, again and again in the threads below the Dev Posts. We have all seen your points and outcries you have made several times already, and we get it. You don't like the game. This does not give you any excuse to make these forums a lesser place to be. I also feel the need to mention the people (included myself, of course) that always want to defend the game until they get tired of it and leave the forums. Keeping the battle alive requires unnecessary moderator attention, and they need to go get their water buckets and stop potential flamewars. In the Intercept Discord things are mostly kept civil, and in the KSP2_general channel things are mostly positive. Not necessarily positive about the game, but there are some great community members there who makes lore, memes about the game and hail the Kerbug. I do not like entering a forum that is so divided. Always complaining and lamenting on KSP2 in the Dev post thread keeps this division alive. And always trying to defend the game does not help either. Please, stop.

At last, we get a long awaited Mission Update! I'm just wondering, the station does not have any big solar panels! How do you get power to it? Does it contain batteries, probe cores and reaction wheels? LOL even your launch vehicles look good I just fit as much of the space station as possible onto a rocket, call it a day and launch it When I suddenly figured out you could do this, just make quick adjustments with IJKL to keep the prograde marker spot on the target marker, life became much easier for me! A very short time warp up one speed and back down again fixes most physics problems, as this stops the physics simulation entirely! Still a risk for Kraken attacks though, lol It looks very good! And it's even perfect for landing Kerbals on the Mun, exploring the Mun arch and so on!
