  1. I think people have different parts of the game they enjoy the most. Some people may enjoy the creating of spacecraft the most, or get a kick out of numbercrunching the physics, and others, like me, like the global planning and doing missions. I use MechJeb for some things, but still like to do stuff manually. It even was a useful learning tool when my knowledge of orbital mechanics wasn't what it is now (thanks to KSP). I really doubt plugins will one day just stop being made. As long as it's not in the vanilla game, there's bound to be someone that wants it and (another that) creates it. You get to customize your own playing experience with them, and everybody wants a different one. I do resent people that criticize you because you want a different experience from theirs. Now for your actual question I believe Harvester said he didn't want an autopilotmodule in the vanilla game, but don't quote me on that.
  2. That's from the kethane mod, the kethane sensor, not a camera.
  3. No, no it's just instagrammed to put on it's social media pages. At least it doesn't have a duckface.
  4. I haven't had any trouble getting to the planets and their moons. In the beginning I had one mission where I found out my ion engine wasn't working (my fault for not having correct plugins) to continually harass Jool's moons. And I had some interplanetary transfers that flew through the SOI of the moon. Because my amount of patched conics is 3, I couldn't really see if I had intercepted the planet or not. But that didn't pose a real problem. So, only small hiccups that were easily worked around
  5. Well, you didn't describe what the parts look like, only what you did with them If you post what they look like, someone is bound to know what you're talking about.
  6. It will patch your KSP to the latest available version. If KSP is not present in the folder where the patcher is located, it will download the entire game. So just login with your store email and password and it will do the rest for you. Also, I believe there's a Mac compatible version available too, but apparently it has some problems. But the full game (0.16 and 0.17) can also be downloaded from the store.
  7. If I understand correctly, it doesn't support retrogade calculations (without manual calculating)? Could you add a button or something that switches between prograde and retrogade calculations?
  8. It's not something that bothers me personally, it's just funny.
  9. I threw this thing into it's atmosphere out of curiosity: Long way down Almost there.. When the altimeter reached 0, it started going back up and the view would rotate up a bit every half a second. Then the thing fell apart and one after another, the parts started exploding. No real surface for me
  10. adammada, did you change the drag parameters? In the version I put up they were 0, which causes problems. You can change the corresponding parameters to: maximum_drag = 0.01 minimum_drag = 0.01 angularDrag = 0.1 Just tested it, and it worked. Your tool has helped increase accuracy with my transfers, thank you! Also, spacecraft behave very strangely when they get below 0m on Jool
  11. Well I just found out the chip doesn't play nice, it can make your rocket sway out of control. To fix this you have to make the drag parameters non-zero, i believe. Sorry for that. I'll post the fixed one soon.
  12. This is incredibly handy! +rep And I also couldn't find this in Mechjeb @togfox also no offense, but it clearly says "Click here to start download from sendspace", which gives the file, in the middle of the screen EDIT: Since I don't really like the standard RCS tank model for stuff like this, I've modified my EngineerChip for the [thread=18230]Kerbal Engineer Redux[/thread]. If anybody wants it, you can download it here. adammada, if you also want to use it for this mod, you can. It has a hi and lo-res texture, lo-res is standard. Just change the name of the texturefile of the image itself or in the part.cfg file.
  13. Something like this would also be nice in SpaceEngine, which has a lot more graphical features like detailed terrain.
  14. I will get back to it, don't worry.
  15. It's not being developed atm, but it hasn't been abandoned either.
  16. If you'd need a tutorial video on how to behave on forums, you probably shouldn't be on here in the first place
  17. Not at this moment IIRC. If you have the know-how you could combine them into your own module, tho.
  18. Try imgur, copy the bb code here and put it in a spoiler tag. If you scroll down here, you can click on 'BB Code is On' which explains how to use the tags.
  19. Nice! I really love that you restored (and have gone further with) the engineer plugin. Saves me a lot of time on Delta-V calculations Together with upcoming center of mass etc, test flights will only need to be flown to confirm your rocket works as intended^^ The Kerbals will be very happy
