  1. Far as I know nobody has even attempted to give the Kerbals an actual storyline or establish stuff like that. They're just a bunch of little green men that love to build rockets and have fun in their solar system.
  2. That's a lovely looking German cityscape though. The Alder statues look great, just the iron cross kind of makes it obvious who built it. And what's all this about Odinbait? One does not simply summon me, I appear precisely when I intend to. Unless you get lucky with a ninjapost. Rollout in it's complete form seems a lot darker than I expected. I dunno, I kind of thought it would have more of a brightly lit work area impression. Although if the scene depicts a completed assembly being brought outside at night it would make sense.
  3. This is actually not a good idea. The contents of GameData\Squad should be left alone. Better to make your own subfolder in Gamedata, and then make a Flags folder inside that to hold your flags. That way you can easily copy your flags and any custom parts you made from version to version. My own is in Gamedata/Seraphim/Flags. I like the clean look that has though, very crisp model.
  4. What are ya'll up to. Shouldn't you be busy flying? Last night I planted a flag on Laythe. If you haven't landed there before, you really should see it.
  5. ( Note: Officially RPing is discouraged on the KSP forums. You are welcome to take it to rphaven.net's forum, or one of the many other RP forums that exist out there.)
  6. Here's mine, first deployment. On Laythe. I had been meaning to land on Laythe for a little while now anyway. So rather than stopping at the mun first I just went right to it.
  7. Still waiting for you to write this thing, since the kind of details you refer to are something that you'd only get from a flashback episode.
  8. Pretty sure if you wore anything other than the Valhalla Space Agency uniform, you'd be tried for high treason. Edit: Oh hoh, here it is... This is my first flag placement in 0.20. It is also the first time I've landed on Laythe with anything in any version. And Jeb himself is the one that did it.
  9. Having fun in 0.20 alright.
  10. You do realize that if you touch that you'll instantly perish due to lighting from my eyes right?
  11. I think it's great. Things are nice and peaceful in here while I wait for my ship to warp to a Jool transfer window.
  12. Granted. But it gets corrupted in the process, resulting in horrible game-breaking bugs that force you to redownload it. Except everyone else downloading it too just crashed the store, and Steam had an emergency maint. I wish this thunderstorm could actually do something instead of sitting around flashing.
  13. The Skipper actually is quite viable for a SSTO as well. An orange tank with a skipper on it has a fairly substantial amount of dV in it, great for small payloads that originally would have used mainsail SSTOs with a fraction of the fuel needed.
  14. Yes, I was watching. Partly because of 0.20 dropping.
  15. Only some. Mostly making sure my launcher has enough dV to support the intended payload to the target orbit, or in this case making sure that there's enough fuel to bring Jeb back after planting a flag on Laythe.
  16. Alright. If my calculations are correct, I should reach Laythe on the first try. Of course in practice I probably will botch this good.
  17. Both, actually. When threads get really big they become difficult to moderate. But there was also that annoying tendancy for the thread to jump some 5-10 pages in the span of a few hours, a posting rate worthy of spam infactions.
  18. I think this needs a much more reliable scoring system- for instance points per tons of fuel or kethane in it. In a prior version of KSP I crafted an orbital kethane storage station capable of holding up to 64,000 liters of kethane.
  19. This is what I am trying to accomplish here, allowing a loose topic thread to remain as a general topic thread and eliminate the roleplaying and random nonsense posting that is cluttering it up.
  20. The issue with people posting so fast is mostly one of the thread moving so quickly it is impossible to keep up with what's going on. Better to move along at a nice easy pace so everyone can follow along. Besides, now you all have something to do. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/30553-KSP-0-20-Released!?p=378026#post378026 Soon as I get it myself, I'll be putting a flag on Laythe. Soon followed by a research colony, searching for the rare Laythecat.
  21. I'm here, and I am not amused. I told you guys 10 pages ago that you needed to pace yourselves, a thread quickly degenerates to spam when it is moving this fast. You've gone 15 pages in all of 3 hours.
  22. I suppose it's only a matter of time now till I have more off topic posts to cleanse from this thread. Hopefully we at least get some new art progress before that happens.
  23. This. I was able to get the okay for a thread with a loose topic to serve as a shoutbox of sorts, but people started reaching spam levels of nonsense in it. This thread will be under the same scrutiny before long. Remember, posts consisting of one-liner replies do not count as proper posting habits and will be treated as spam. If you want this thread to live long, take care to write reasonable posts for it.
  24. Alas, the secret shall remain a secret for now. As will the precise method of capturing Laythe from the god-empress Chobit. I was going to stop this madness at 100 exactly, but was busy adjusting machinery. Sorry guys, after a while a thread gets so crazy that it must be put out of its misery.
