Stop sharing your weather with me! I'm in Upstate NY, all the storms from northwest PA slam into my place. At the moment it's warm but humid, with intermittent downpours and a chance of thunder.

I turn tail and get out of there is how. Repairs aren't cheap. Though I have hit a few fighters with it, I'm usually down low for strafing and try to avoid getting shot at. If I can get an easy shot I'll take it, but if I'm being shot at I usually try to get far away from that person as fast as possible.

Junkers Ju87 B-2. I've got mine set up with both bombs and a gunrack upgrade. It's fast enough to not be a sitting duck, and has enough bang to actually inflict some serious damage. Took out two heavy tanks back to back with it a few matches ago.
-
Currently in-game right now with a squad started. I'm hoping to get chobit to join it for some proper flying lessons, now that I've got a plane that might actually be able to keep up.

Seems I was reading my charts wrong as well. My correct levels are as follows: Overall 4, America 1, Germany 3, Russia 0, Britian 0, Japan 1. There seems to be a problem with the server. It's already been called in up the line, just be patient while they figure out what is happening to it.

System error: Shutting down. Excessive spam detected. Excessive Croissants detected. Excessive spare cores in core change area detected. Reopening attempt will take place in approximately 1 hour after cleanup operations have taken place assuming the forum cooperates. I've gotten a few errors in a row now navigating. Please do not attempt to make a replacement thread at this time, it will be removed. This thread is not locked for good yet. Update: Okay the situation appears to be under control. Take it easy though, the server is still not 100%.

Where's chobit at? I just hit level 3 germany, and picked up a Ju87. Now that I can actually do some damage, it's time to dd..ddduel.

They know better than we do exactly how close those wheels are. Seagulls are actually very difficult to hit with a vehicle. Cats as well. I'd come up the driveway on one of the big farm tractors, and the cat would just sit there in the middle of the road while the tractor and wagon passed harmlessly right over it, and after I passed it would yawn and look at me like I was rude for waking it up.

No, it's a good thing. You guys need to take it easy, if this goes too fast it gets ticketted for speeding.

Which is exactly why I might not continue playing if it continues to act out- I can't afford to build a new system at the moment, and laptop GPUs can't be upgraded. It only happens on certain maps though, making me think it's a software issue that can be fixed. Some maps fly fine, others freak out and lock up. Even a lot of systems with reasonable GPUs in them are affected too. Just one of those where the developers of this have pushed the stats up so far that systems older than a year or two outright can't run it. My own is just over two years now, and aside from the IGP it was a mid-range model when I picked it out. Ramming is BAD. People will rage about it. It's understandable when you're learning to fly and caught up in the firefight to the point where you and your opponent run head on into each other frantically shooting, but later on people will complain about it if you do it on purpose.

I set mine up the other way. Convergence on my planes is set to 2500 feet, and I lay down short streaks of bullets when I see that I am close to the target. Lotta times I'll take out an AA position while still more than 1000 feet away. Yes you can make the game use Imperial units. My altimeter properly displays 40,000 feet when I feel like flying that high. Also what factor is used for your mission difficulty? I just noticed I got moved up to the level 2-3 bracket, even though I've been overall level 3 for a while now. ...that bug that makes it lock my computer up is really becoming a problem though. Like to a point where if they don't fix it in the next update I probably won't continue to play this. More often than not the game crashes trying to launch anything other than the Stalingrad field.

Engineering for me. Though I can't quite match Mr Scott, I can definitely get close to his level. Long as the main energizer doesn't blow up in my face or a hull breach get ripped open right in front of me I can take the heat. There's machines to fix after all.

Ultimate power requires ultimate responsibility. If I actually got serious, there wouldn't even be ashes left of that which offended. Still, you guys are going quite fast. At this rate this thread will only last a few days.

This, in my case. The trees just pull me in, and at the last second I try to pull up and just clip it hard enough to knock a wing off or kill my engine. I have a notorious habit of noseplanting my craft when trying to land as well, typically shredding engine and prop but still getting points for a 'soft' landing That was awful. I was attempting to evade while running at a really low altitude, and not too good of an airspeed. Saw the tree coming and pulled up, but I must have stalled or something cause it just plain didn't happen in time. Doesn't help that the Kingfisher is kinda heavy on the controls and doesn't react well. Though I actually did win a historic mission later on. Turns out you can in fact use the reserve planes in historic mode, but against everyone's Tier4/5 planes you're basically a sitting duck to only operate as a decoy or scout. My win was in a He51C. My problem is I'll get too close to the ground while on my strafing run, and then realize that the target has a hill behind it. Quite a few times now I've actually had my landing gear touch enemy soil while pulling out of a strafe run. And a lot of these end in trees anyway when that maneuver kills my airspeed and I stall as I approach the treeline. Though I did make level 2 last night. America 3 Germany 2 Japan 1.

Must you guys constantly attack each other? It's just gotten downright silly again. If there's nothing to talk about at the moment, go do other things instead of spamming it up.
-
THis nonsense again? Don't make me roar through with a B24J Liberator and unload full arsenal.
-
Just got to sit in the seat of an A5M, and got a nice kill streak going strafing AAs with it before someone caught me and knocked a wing off of it. America 3 Japan 1 Germany 1.
-
You guys are quick. Thread's only a day old and gone 24 pages already. At this rate I'll have to exchange it again before next Saturday.
-
I sense, lightning. You boys had better take cover. So I'm having fun in Warthunder. I have a certain fondness for crashing into trees.
-
Argument detected. Squad has already stated there would not be female Kerbals any time soon. And since we went from novelty to creepy to hot debate, it probably is time to shut this down.
-
Could PM it to me first for verification purposes. I'd have to go find a pic that represents where I'd want to be. Also, is it jut me or did I get warthunder only to not actually play it with anyone.
-
Most of my landing attempts are literally in the heat of combat. My plane gets all dinged up with the wings only a hit or two short of snapping, and I try to set it down in a nearby field rather than wreck it completely. So far I usually survive the landing, but what's left of the engine gets wrecked in the process. I'm up to level 3 America, level 1 Germany though.
-
There a trick to landing? Every time I've tried to land one I've plunked the prop into the dirt and killed the motor.
-
Oh you guys, I take a little time away to train for the day when I must face Chobit's face-melting rage in the skies over Europe, and I come back to see you've again begun to kill each other.
-
There any way to set a map preference? Basically there's a known bug right now that IGP powered PCs will lock up if any map other than Stalingrad is loaded. I keep having to use task manager to hard kill the game when I see it loading anything other than Stalingrad in order to avoid it.
