  1. I run on mine i7 2630qm (2ghz) 1.5gb gtx460m and 8 gb of ram depending on the ship I will get meh frames on lunch (down to 2 or 1 on big ships) but after about 6000m i jump to 50+ and in orbit I stay around 110fps granted I like my desktop way more than my laptop
  2. Welcome to the game/forums if you need help there is a great how to section. Also multiplayer has been mentioned to much so try not to mention it as many may get upset with you. For more parts check out the add-on section there are a lot of parts there
  3. I remember finding KSP when some of my aero engineering buddies started playing it
  4. I remember seeing on a dev thread awhile ago that these were products of testing different features and the one was left in by mistake but stayed due to popularity But to make your own isnt really possible but I believe that the orbital construction mod kind of allows this
  5. Iwishiknew - no this is more like hijacking the tread as it has nothing to do with the original topic, If it is this much off topic look for other threads and if there aren't any similar then you may start your own. That being said read the mechjeb tutorial here and and just parts and plugins look through the forums and see, some are rather nice and inventive but access to planets or citys requires code that modders have no access to. Now lets stay on topic I use Novapunch and KW Rocketry as I like having large part lists and can be more "creative" with my explosio err... I mean rockets
  6. Moderator comment: Just a friendly reminder to put large images in spoiler boxes. The system has changed so to do this it is [spoiler = title of spoiler box] content just remove the spaces in the first set of brackets so it will look as such: content
  7. Since there are no pictures or craft files I am locking this and I will send you a pm Hawk
  8. Moderator Comment: Please stay on topic and DO NOT mention docking in this thread, it is not coming in .17 and it has been beaten to death

  10. Welcome to the forums, and you'll find many here with that background (aerospace engineering student here as well)
  11. I think he means to make a part have multiple functions like a wing with fuel in it

    Hi all!

    Hi,

Welcome to the forums and sounds like you got a good hang on the game.
  14. Hi Ypkerbal already welcomed you once, but if you need anything just ask around people are very friendly here
  15. I had this issue as well all I did to fix it was to take the rcs tank I didnt want to drain first and remove it, then replace it and it fixed it for me.
  16. If you have mechjeb installed you can use it for all sorts of measurements like this
  17. Welcome to the forums Ypkerbal, A lot of my first rockets managed to escape Kerbin's SOI(sphere of influence) but it just takes a lot of power. Most of these designs had 1 or 2 large SRB(solid rocket booster) stages to get me out of the atmosphere and then LFE(liquid fuel engines) to push me further, I just went straight up no turns or anything. If you are still having some issues doing this Ill post a .craft file for you
  18. While the planets will be great and really expand the game the part I'm looking forward to is this "Center of mass, thrust, lift and drag visual cues on the construction scenes" now my space-planes won't blow up (well not as often)
  19. I'm looking forward to helping out with the forums. Thanks again!
  20. What does everyone think of this laptop? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834200525
  21. At 5meter parts we\'re ................................ gonna need a bigger launch pad 8) I had to say that but really a single inline at 5m is okay but to make 5 nozzles or add bigger boosters well I dont think it will fit
  22. First one is a no for several reasons it uses the same parts(minus the gpu) as my current one and weighs almost as much with a 2hr battery Second at 2h battery life so id prefer not thank you though Yes it is but I like to play games on vacation at my house (not my college one) and I want to be able to run some heavy simulation programs (autoCAD, flow, etc.) very well. For gaming my desktop maxes every game I\'ve played so far so that\'s not my goal I\'m looking at while I\'m at home to play like Battlefield and some other. Besides some classes I can\'t pay attention I just go to answer lecture questions (They can\'t speak understandable English) so I play KSP or use an emulator while I\'m waiting for said questions This is more what I was looking for good performance but not too much I could upgrade the ram myself other than I like it maybe I\'ll check out the new xps 15\'s I was looking at this one as well I\'d like for the i5 (its a U version)to be a little stronger but other than that nice http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215401 Yes they do but 2 issues the optimus (graphics switching) isnt supported by what I have heard so that kills battery life and 2 no turbo boost but as for the Asus I know I\'m trying to avoid but I won\'t shut out any options yet (my asus is unreliable (has broken 25 times in the last 3 months just out of warranty ) thats why I\'m getting a new laptop) I don\'t want to sound critical but after this last experience I\'d like to do better and all suggestions are appreciated
  23. I havent found anything yet but is the led screen broken or just the digitizer?
  24. Well as long as its reasonable <1500$ but Id prefer 700-1200$
