  1. You mean, "here's one of manley:" You can also try this page for tutorials: https://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/tutorials.php and here are the controls for the game on the KSP wiki: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Key_Bindings
  2. I just had the best idea for a name for your launch base: Baikonowl Cosmodrome.
  3. IIRC, the only difference between the stack and radial decouplers is whether the explosiveNodeID is the surface attach node or a stack node. I'm pretty sure that ModuleAnchoredDecoupler could be used for either type of decoupler.
  4. I've been using this a s a rudimentary CoM balancer, by placing linear RCS ports about the centre stack in symmetry, this plugin will show minimum torque when the mass is lined up with the centre. This means that I can asymmetric vehicles with central engines, and have them not torque around much. This is a brilliant mod!
  5. Last time I didn't post this: The SRBs are there to provide TWR while the main tank empties. It was an exercise in trying to solve the low burn time problem in stock SRBs. The second stage 'fairing' covers a 2x LVT45 cluster.
  6. Neat, can you post some of that .cfg stuff, hoojiwana? I'd really like to look over it.
  7. This thread made me realise I'm incredibly fond of clustered LVT30 lower stages with Skipper upper stages... On the other hand, I also enjoy 1.5 stage drop-engine designs (I actually forgot I had this picture) EDIT: AmpsterMan, that is exactly how I did this.
  8. It seems the "Modding information page from before the forum wipe" download is broken, does anyone have a working link? That page was really useful.
  9. Trying out a two-stage direct ascent: I landed by the mun arch, as you do.
  10. I call it the Rodpacer 2: EDIT: Bill doesn't seem like he's enjoying it:
  11. I tried to get a probe into orbit without restarting any liquid engines, without throttling, and using only sepratrons for the orbital insertion. It's not that hard as it turns out.
  12. That's actually quite a nice looking plane, do you plan on using it for any of the other "missions"? And speaking of that, are you going to do all the other challenges purely on spaceplane power?
  13. Last I checked, you needed five posts to be able to do that.
  14. It happened again. EDIT: The result of that experiment:
  15. I removed the download link, you two should probably sort it out via PM.
  16. These symptoms seems identical to ones associated with trying to load .DAE models into 0.20. If that is the case, and you really want those parts, you can convert them to .mu with unity, and they will work fine.
  17. I believe, then, that the total Isp is the average Isp weighted by mass flow rate. I tried the calculation this way with your numbers and arrived at 541.7s. May have been an error on my part. EDIT: thinking about it, this seems intuitive - impulse per mass with bigger contributions from greater mass per time. But, this doesn't come cleanly out of what you derrived (unless I'm missing something) and I can't ignore that 0.4s difference.
  18. How do model nodes interact with other things based on models, like thrust transforms for engines, or jettison modules for fairings?
  19. I can find uses for the ant (and yes it would be awesome if it could be radial mounted), but the mark 55 I just can't find a use for. Adding radial T45s or 24-77s gives an advantage in almost everything except part count and gimbal range, and the thrust is low enough to make me feel that the gimbal range isn't worth it.
  20. Oh yes, I've re-read it and it does just say parts recoded to the new system, which probably means ASAS part module finally!
  21. I hope that the space centre scene will finally reflect the actual time of day at the launch pad.
  22. At this point I started to suspect that maltesh might be evil. And this proved it. Don't stay alone with maltesh, kids.
  23. I'm sure there's one we haven't found yet, but... we'll never know...
