  1. Suggestion: KAS let's you pick up antennas and even deploy it. It would be nice if the game would recognize this and allow you to transmit data. I experimented with this and it said "No antenna on this vessel can transmit" I had a clear LOS to the space center.
  2. Looks great. There are some other Science projects floating around this forum that may be looking for some parts. Great work!
  3. Kethane is clearly a macro level quantum particle that is in a superposition. The Observation of the KH4 molecule in the "Schrodinger's Pumper Thingy" inside the converter can manipulate the underlying fabric of the universe to cause it to fall into either category. Problem solved. Great looking icons BTW. They are quite effective at conveying information. This mod quickly shot onto my must have list for mods. Very Quality work.
  4. Good looking stuff. The Atlas looks quite nice. The Delta I did was a write off but I never finished the remake. Wish I had but school kinda has a way of sucking the time right out of your life. Glad to see the ULA stuff lives on. If you need any unity help then drop me a line. Ditto for configs, reference photos or anything really. Carry on.
  5. Your memoirs was titled: Recon Rovers: Unsafe at Any Speed. Damn that makes me feel old. Any other SMAC players here? I still play it when time allows. . . Nice reference, excited to see how the base goes.
  6. If you go into addon development and then into plugins you will find more help.
  7. I want tweakables to be able to turn off the fairings on the NERVA.I am tired of launching giant stages upside-down to avoid destroying my ship when the fairings separate.
  8. Where were all of the textured bits that I put in?
  9. I can confirm this, over a LAN connection there is no success with macs to PCs
  10. Start charging your warp drive. With copious quantities of power it will make exotic matter
  11. 108.236.95.118:2076 alright guys who wants to build a space station?
  12. Swag! New KSP server right here! You sir are a BOSS!
  13. Alright, a couple of quick questions: 1. What Protocol should I run my server application on? TCP or UDP 2.What timeout should I set it to? 3. What host port should I map it to? Also it is a file transfer protocol server right? To anyone who couldn't tell, I'm a noob at setting up ports. Thanks for your help.
  14. A good idea, on the other hand then we wouldn't get to watch the glorious deploy animation everytime. I would maybe do it the opposite way, instead of punishing people for bringing stupid kerbals, reward them for bringing Kerbals with special degrees. If you do an experiment that they are trained in then you have random chance of getting some bonus data points. It would be a good idea to have a "university of Kerbin" where they keep track of where you have and have not collected data, and offer bonuses for more complete data sets. I definitely like the idea of having some more flavor text associated with experiments after you bring them home. More experiments that are actually scientific would be nice. Something other than the goo feels right at home. Keep it up and maybe someone will notice. It's all about that data! Good suggestions guys, Keep it up!
  15. I am a councilor for a space camp that my local space museum runs (http://www.cosmo.org/ Apollo 13, Gemini X, Liberty Bell 7, more cool stuff) We have our kids refly the Curiosity landing using prebuilt rockets with serious supervision. They learn so much in those 30 minutes about everything from aerobraking to orbital mechanics, this game is already educational and more importantly, teaches you in stealth mode, while you think you are having fun. Having said that, I don't think this is an good idea, original yes, but I don't think the styles match. It would also be an iffy game mechanic, because lets face it, at the the end of the day, it is still a game.
  16. However the "skipping" that can be seen in real life doesn't occur since the only parts that actually generate life are wings and control surfaces.
  17. Nice unmanned lab idea, OP is now updated. Having met two apollo astronauts, I think I can speak from experience that they would agree with you. However I tend to now use direct ascent designs, the deltaV savings on not carrying RCS makes it pretty much a wash. Maybe even more interesting, we could have areas of space that aren't bugger all and we would have to find out why. . . Well I'm glad your doomahickeys are enjoying it, mine sure are! You and me both buddy. Thanks, it was just a strike of radioactive waste outside my window. I felt woozy as the radiation started to kill me, then of my own accord I started typing the OP. . . I can't explain it! Now hopefully squad will implement this Soonâ„¢
  18. Thanks, I my brain appreciates the compliment. That's a good thought, but until squad implements the economy I think I will refrain from suggesting anything.
  19. I have a little Kraken blood in me, it gives me that ability. . . . I'm a Kethane launch pad player so I fully support this suggestion, I just think that something like that wouldn't be implemented until later in development. Absolutelly, Hard drives feel like something that Kerbals would use. "I could transmit this date, but launching a flashdrive and landing the data using only SRBs would be way more awesome" Right click on the pod and click review data. That will allow you to chose what to transmit. Other than that I sympathize for your Apollo mission. Hopefully we get some resolution soon.
  20. As a person who has tried to make a cinematic in KSP, I fully support this idea!
  21. Already Suggested: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/54027-The-Data-System-What-Works-What-doesn-t-and-How-to-Fix-It
  22. Crew activities. I want my Kerbals to do something other than die. Which they do frequently.
