  1. but the whole point is to not do it frame by frame I could come up with a ridiculously detailed 117 frame gif. that's an excellent example when you don't want to apply effects frame by frame I'll try asking on the gimp forums
  2. I've decided to go with GIMP does anybody here know by any chance how to apply a set of effects to an entire gif? or more specifically apply the same set of effects to every layer/frame in a gif
  3. I'm having a bit of a dilemma here: what I did was I copied the rotatron part, and in the copied part I edited the rescale value in the .CFG so the new part would be half the size of the old one (0.50) the picture shows the newer smaller rotatron on the bottom and the original on the top. as you can see the rescale did not affect the model, what can be done to fix this?
  4. by effect I mean the black-and-white grainy television camera effect that is seen in every Lunar probe picture
  5. Duna lander trials lander trials again, this time at the north pole detaching descent assist engine this was a really heartfelt moment, I expected the thing to crash into the ground, but the little guy just kept hanging in there He's going home goodbye sweet prince
  6. I did that now whenever I start my game with this new part the game just quits on me. By that I mean I don't get a ship, I don't get a Kerbin, I can't move my camera.
  7. that's a mod, just because Nova is a dev doesn't mean he doesn't use mods, don't get a heart attack EDIT: it appears you removed the picture in question
  8. I wonder if this forum supports gif.s let's find out
  9. does anybody know if there is some program that I can use to achieve an effect similar to this: painlessly and easily?
  10. I wondered the same thing when I got mechjeb. Basically the short answer is no. but there is a "Smart A.S.S" feature that has a similar function. This feature give you a list of headings (like normal and anti-normal for changing eccentricity, prograde and retrograde useful for landing or changing apoapsis and periapsis)
  11. welp abandon thread as in, this thread is about to get locked
  12. why not? We can already make parts, and all that is is providing a model, and then filling out a set of parameters for said model and you got yourself a part planets shouldn't be that much different, just provide the size, and a bumpmap and then fill out some parameters, such as gravity atmosphere, distance from kerbol, apoapsis+periapsis, etc.. if an API for parts came out relatively quickly in the scope of KSP's development, I envision that an API that would create planetary bodies or moons should be in the works very soon.
  13. a mechjech command module was not my request, my request was to make a mechjeb part a command module and keep its mechjeb features. I wanted the process, not the outcome
  14. I've tried going as small as 0.25 with the rescale of the rotatron. Problem is that it does scale the things down but the model stays the same size
  15. is it possible to scale down the rotatron??
  16. Kosmos space station pack I honestly don't know if it's still available as the thread hosting the DL links was closed because it became ultra-massive. Its dev team is currently refactoring the mod for 0.16.
  17. challenge explains itself is this even possible? without changing .CFG values I mean I'll try this out soon, mods allowed.
  18. oh man! the fun I have with this mod! my latest ship burns into a lunar orbit, pops off the payload fairings and reveals an internal hanger with four Luna landing probes you should try building a Soyuz 7K-LOK
  19. Minera-1 [spoiler/]Minera-2 [spoiler/] Minera-5-Kolibri [spoiler/] yes, I'm having a dandy time
  20. one of the few images that actually made me laugh out loud today well done!
