  1. It's lonely being a spaceplane pilot. Album here with links to mod: http://imgur.com/a/yslD7
  2. Go here http://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/vis/a000000/a003800/a003895/index.html Look at the 6th picture down. 8k tiff that is basically ready to go and plain like the one you reference. I'm just about tired as hell of closing and loading up ksp over and over getting things right. Somebody else. Throw that thing into cubethesphere then look at raredens pack and make sure all of your pictures are the same orientation and named the same. http://home.comcast.net/~darendash/CubeTheSphere.html
  3. I present for your approval my Dreamscape texture pack. I upgraded to be a little crisper in 2k and to be absolutely chock full of stars. I made sure to do it in jpeg 10. Files here: http://d.pr/f/RLsO
  4. JPG 10 can be a bunch worse than 12 when dealing with dark but noisy images like star fields. You will see artifacts near dim stars
  5. I've been starting up trying to make skyboxes for the new universereplacer mod. In the process I convert sphere maps to cube maps. Does anyone know how i can calculate how big an image needs to be to convert to a 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 cube map on a 1 to 1 basis.
  6. Alignment is a pain. I haven't been able to to get anything look right if it had any detail on the border with the top and bottom squares.
  7. go to ksp_win/gamedata/universereplacer/textures/skybox just drag the files in there.
  8. I would like to find a really high resolution photo of nic cage, it's got to be lit dramatically. Shop it so that it looks like nic cage is actually part of the cosmos seated before the galactic core as if it were a table.
  9. Thanks regex. Tomorrow I will have an update to get rid of the slight glow line along the galactic equator. I didn't notice it at first but now it's getting annoying. Here's a link to the full image as it stands now, slightly more compressed than in the pack. Makes an alright desktop. http://d.pr/i/zHYy
  10. I am so sorry for releasing bad textures in this thread earlier. I have downloaded the upload and rechecked it. This one is good. I made a new 2k skybox, it's based off of the same eso data but I changed the style to give it more sparkle and less glow. I then added far infra-red and H-alpha data and tried to display it in a natural looking way. All my source files and stuff are listed in the imgur album. Hope somebody likes it. File here 2k: http://d.pr/f/EI5D
  11. SDIR: Yes, you have to download raredens texture pack off the first page.
  12. shoot, you are right. I didn't test all the files, they broke. I'm gonna delete it and try again.
  13. You can't open the images in a 7zip until you decompress it. It will always give that error if you try to look at something in a 7zip. Unzip it and the files will be there, I just tested it. EDIT: So sorry, reworking things. file broke in the upload.
  14. Info on how to post imgur albums. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/36010-Introducing-the-Ability-to-Embed-Imgur-Albums!
  15. It will go up fine without it, I just like the look of it. The craft actually has too much fuel but I wanted it to have good range once refueled in orbit.
  16. I tried to make the smallest SSTO I could and still have a very full featured craft. Very maneuverable, lots of lift. No unsightly intakes. A perfect craft for landing on duna or laythe and returning to orbit. Craft here: http://d.pr/f/rkLv
  17. I've been waiting for this day. I always use the Mk2. Great work.
  18. I was trying to cut down on parts. The crew part has rcs. I figured as long as one piece had rcs i could dock everything.
  19. It is stock. I just used mechjeb on the pictures. Engine: http://d.pr/f/F0Va Habitat: http://d.pr/f/KrXj Crew: http://d.pr/f/fm6B Lander: http://d.pr/f/Iu8
  20. The Triple Threat: A SSTO space carrier that lifts 3 shuttles. Less than 100 parts. I would consider it an interplanetary craft or a space station. It reaches a 100km orbit about empty, but once refueled it can travel to Jool, especially if nuclear engines are attached later. Craft Here: http://d.pr/f/sGEL Also, The Proton RTL "Ready To Lift" Craft Here: http://d.pr/f/mwKc A replica of the Russian Proton. A versatile lifter rated for 10 tons to a 100km orbit. Everything is stock, just used mechjeb to show people the numbers.
