totm may 2024 [1.12.x] - Modular Kolonization System (MKS)

Hi @RoverDude I'm a bit confused about the life support involved with this mod. Is the kolonization system essentially just the parts and systems to build bases? reason I ask is that there is no life support present (such as supplies, Mulch, electric charge usage on command pods etc) nor is there any indication of how to add these on. Do I need to add the USI life support separately to get the full experience or is it bundled in the Kolonization System somewhere? many thanks -

hopefully a quick question @Shadowmage Can I use Kerbal Wheels without the Textures Unlimited mod? I know it's not listed as a dependency but the fact that it's bundled in on github makes me think otherwise Thanks *edit: Nevermind, just saw your post a few pages back. -

This mod was honestly one of my favourites, for the fact that it keeps you interested in your stations! Its like, i need more science, i'm going to continue to build my station up, keep rendezvousing with it to drop off and pick up more experiments, it was brilliant! -

Hey there, it seems that this mod causes certain weaponry in BDarmoury to be removed from the building inventory! specifically, the hellfire missiles and the m1 abrams cannon disappear from both the SPH and the VAB. these items appear in the R&D lab, but not in the build editor! upon removing this mod, the weapons became available to use again so i think it must be causing restrictions on what weapons can be used! -

could i possibly get some help? none of the parts are appearing in my career save, they are present in sandbox, but not career. I have the interstellar tech tree loaded, but on making new games, i can't find the parts in any other tech tree! any help would be appreciated

hey rbray, loving the mod so far, really adds more atmosphere to the game (literally) but i saw in your attempt list 'volumetric clouds (to fly through)' and i was reminded of a mod that somebody made for Skyrim that adds pseudo-volumetric clouds to the game. Do you think looking at the programming of that mod would help reverse engineer volumetric clouds for ksp? thanks! -

so i was just playing a modded career game, and attempting to land on the moon with bobcats Soyuz. All was going well (apart from the pitiful thrust which ONLY just got me down in one piece) and managed to land with only 2 units of fuel left. yea i need to send a recovery team, hopefully Jeb has enough snacks. anyway, in my eagerness for my first manual mun landing, i quickly EVA'd bob, planted a flag, performed some science, then had a little walk around. I jumped back in, again realizing i had no fuel, i decided to EVA Jebediah and out he jumped, i didn't have any ladders so i just jumped off of the 3 meter tall capsule, but his jetpack didn't work and he slammed into the ground. Here's were it got very weird. i couldn't control him, he started flailing around madly, not responding to anything, and the screen went completely black. i thought " well damn, another kraken" but not this time. the sound clip of an explosion started to repeat and all that was left on the blank screen was the altitude meter, quickly randomizing numbers until it stopped at '666666'. And all of this just happened at 20 past 1. In the morning. And i'm home alone locking all the doors. Has anyone else had such a scary kraken experience before?

gonna be honest, i love the sound of the srbs, but not the standard liquid fuel, they seem rather weak now! is there any chance you tell me which files to delete? i only need the srb sounds *EDIT never mind, found it *EDIT 2 by the way, where did you get those clouds from on the first video? -

has anyone seen the SRB sound replacement thread? That would (to me) complete this completely if they implemented the sounds as standard (you can do it yourself, but not everyone including me have the right software to edit cfg's) then i would fall in even more love with this mod! -

i'm sorry if this has already been mentioned (in a rush atm!) but i'm finding the pegasus x2 difficult to fly outside of the atmosphere, the rcs nozzles don't seem to work when there is no atmosphere and it just tumbles all over the place! is this something you intended or have i got a bugged download? :S cheers! -

I really don't think that would be possible without making major changes to the way games are saved, as far as i know they don't have a timeline feature (or something that would be needed for this :/)
