Thanks for the response. I was actually a bit surprised to see that someone else was seeing the same issue. That said - I tried to pin-point what introduced the behavior, but after a while, I gave up and started over with a new base install. I then slowly added various add-ons I typically use (mechjeb, protactor, ISA map, Sphere, and DEMV), and couldn't replicate again. Who knows.

I know no new orders are being taken, but perhaps you will take this order into consideration. It would be cool to have a rocket WITHIN another rocket. Staged so that one rocket goes up, and then suddenly it breaks open and another, completely different rocket emerges. Sort of like a trojan horse concept. -snip- The case is closed. - Ted

When I applied the 2nd version of DEMV 4, it seems that MechJeb is now a bit funky. For example, SMARTAss doesn't do anything when you click on it. Some items do come up and can be used (Ascent module), but others don't. Has anyone else seen this?

Nevermind - I got it! Instead of using space bar to decouple the one that attached rover to container, I can sneak in under it and right-click / decouple. Beautiful!!

I am trying the demo craft, and can get it to land, and open, but when I press "space" to separate the vehicle, the whole thing explodes end over end and my rover flies out, and always seems to land upside down. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I think maybe my earlier comment was passed over in all the exciting discussions about people wanting to join the company and work on ships. I'd like a pimped out space rocket - like that show "Pimp My Ride" that is on MTV. I think Dr. Dre hosts it - or maybe Lil Wayne. I can't remember. But they take old beat-up cars and make them sweet and put great big rims on it, and a big stereo, and fancy paints, etc. I think Jeb deserves a nice rocket, don't you?

I understand solar arrays on space craft, but what is the purpose of having radiators? I tend to see them quite often when looking at space probe designs, and a lot of custom packs for KSP seem to have them - but I don't get what benefits they have.

Well, I'm not so sure he would have been able to walk on the moon had he not been using performance enhancing drugs. And as you may have read, he dropped his appeal and is by default, guilty.
