  1. What about a flag that IS a TARDIS?
  2. Seems the same to me once I fixed my mods. Core i7 2600K @ 4.5GHZ, Radeon 6970, 8GB RAM. OS is on an SSD but I have KSP running on a conventional HDD.
  3. Softimage XSI is just called Softimage now, since Autodesk acquired them. It's also never been free. It's in the same class as Maya and 3DS Max.
  4. Part of the problem is the Men are Generic, Women are Special trope, wherein a character that has a non-gendered appearance is considered to be male by default. The only thing gendered about Kerbals is that they have short hair, and that being tied to maleness is an entirely cultural construct. (I am all for Kerbals having more variety in hairstyle).
  5. What would make a Kerbal female? Since their names are mostly derived from English, I always assume that the ones that don't sound explicitly male are female. For example, Halnie is my favorite Kerbal in my current save and I consider her female.
  6. The new lander can is also 25% lighter than the 1-kerbal capsule, if you don't want to use seats.
  7. Problem with the nuke is the sea level ISP is pretty terrible and it's heavy. I guess all these idea would be easy to test on Kerbin before taking them out to Eve. Might try to see what I can do with ions tonight.
  8. Yes, they're a flickering pixel. Probably helps that I'm playing at 2560x1600.
  9. Has anyone tried this? I am considering where to send an interplanetary colony expedition and if ascent from Eve via airship or ion driven aircraft is feasible, it would be a neat place for a colony. I just don't want to send my colonists somewhere they are doomed to remain.
  10. I know I can see Mun arches from my station at 60km. They're pretty huge.
  11. I've wondered exactly how their stupidity rating, courage rating and the badass flag affect their expressions. Has anyone tested it with Crew Manifest?
  12. Posted this a little while ago in the other thread: I've read all the books several times and I don't remember the Foundation ever having it's own emblem described, only the Empire.
  13. It's been done. Look in the flags megathread, page 44
  14. The Aeris 4A is actually not very good without some modification. See
  15. DPI isn't really meaningful in this context. 256x160 is 256x160, the game doesn't care what the DPI is. The only difference it would make is how big the flag would be if you printed it.
  16. Mechjeb2, Quantum Strut, Kerbal Alarm Clock, Subassembly Loader, MapSat, Kethane, Firespitter (just for electric props), Hooligan Lab Airships, Kerbal Attachment System (just for anchoring airships), Crew Manifest. I like the parts to be stock unless they are providing a specific functionality that stock doesn't provide.
  17. I toss duplicates out of my craft and subject them to mainsail fire as they are clearly evil clones.
  18. I like Mainsails for my giant boosters and a cluster of LV-T30s/45s for my center stack. I'm not sure how Temstar managed to get 8x 30s and 4x 45s on his/her Nova rocket's center stack. The most I can seem to managed is 6x 30s and 1x 45.
  19. You could start by calling it the "Kommunist party of Kerbin"
  20. The was a , where they were arguing Pi vs Tau. They both made good cases.
  21. Some things are easier with Ferram and some are harder. The standard short and fat asparagus-staged rockets that work so well in stock KSP tend to work less well with Ferram, as in real life.
  22. This style is actually seen on flags in some episodes:
