No just didnt hear about every single starlett in the world. Or if heard about, my brain decided that the information is not important enough to remember. Worldvide known modern bands or singers i know: Metalica, Iron Maiden, Gamma Ray, Judas Priest, MotorHead, Avenged Sevenfold, Sonata Arctica, Eluveitie, Korpiklaani, Sabaton, Cradle of filth, Two steps from Hell, Lordi, Equilibrium, Kiss, Beatless, Rammstein, Dropkick Murphys, Nirvana, Apocalyptica, Amanda Palmer, Sepultura, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Rise Against, Arkona, and few more. How much of them did you know before i mentioned them? about half of them? Even in case of my favorite bands i remember only name of the band and names and lyrics of my favorite songs. Any other info is useless for me. Sometimes i know the lyrics but dont remember the name of the song or name of the band. Iam a bussy person, i Work, i do sports, i play videogames, i read a lot, i have lots of different hobbyes, and music and film are not one of them. i use music only as an background for my workouts and if i drive a car. Or sometimes at work if i need to focus i play music in my headphones to supress the sounds of the rest of our officespace that are distracting me, I rarely realy listen to the music or care about it.

My problem here is not with the age, but with the "playboymodel" appearance. No iam not huge fan of theese, and as i deal with swords and other old weaponry a lot, as an Medieval reanactor and as an "HMB sport" team member. i Can tell you that sword would be really stupid idea of an weapon in any situation except gentlemans duel. For silent kills i would use knife and for anything else firearm.Even in medieval times where the sword was popular, soldiers tended to use spears halberds axes and hammers for battle and sword was only for emergency for duels, and as an simbol of one´s social status. Ansiblers are not excuse they are important for plot of some of the later books about Ender.

Balistic projectiles are generaly a bad idea for ship to ship combat in space, cause the ship will just change orbit a bit and your projectile will miss. Can you imagine how big the space battlefield will be? how long it will take the projectile to reach the target? Guyded or homing missiles make more sense. Projectiles can be used for bombarding fixed surface instalation however. But actually you can use projectiles if you shoot big wide cloud of them on shorter ranges enemy ship will have hard time to dodge it. Like a shotgun, big spaceshotgun. I would still rather use something energetic, (Laser, some kind of microwave emitor, or something like this) to heat the enemy ship, kill the crew fry the circuits, but keep it intact to prevent mr.Kessler from endangering my own ships and instalations. And keep the missiles, "shotguns" and other debries producing weapons only for the most critical situations. BUT, untill we have colonised other planets, i cant see any reason to fight in space except shooting down enemy satelites, and ICBMs. And that can be done from surface.

EM as "ElectroMagnetic" is not an nonsense word. And using electromagnetic field for propeling isnt imposible you just need to do it right. For example u can use a group of coils and group of magnetes, or two groups of coils to change electric energy to magnetic field and then to rotational momentum and if you atach a wheel or propeler....................the miracolous device is called Electricla engine But of cours you cant use it for spacetravel as there atre no roads or air in space. :-D

Well any car that can carry equivalent of 5 icehockey goalkeepers and theyr gear and baggage and has 4WD and not too high fuel consumption and wouldnt be too expensive, will be OK for me.

I dont care about scientific mistakes if the storry is good enough. What bothers me in scifi films theese days is. - Bad story. Apparently modern film makers got an impression that any **** can be succesfull if you label it Sci Fi. Most of the TV production especially Stargate series. - Using film for propagation of autors ideological, political, or religious beliefs. It is ok if you put a bit of your own beliefs in your creation, but revolving entire story around them changes the storry to propaganda. U.S. "Book of Eli"( religious) and "Elisyum" (That one reminded me of the old comunist propaganda films ,i know from my part of the world hystory, so much), Austria "the Cloud" (enviromental antinuclear). - Million times repeated cliches. like defusing the bomb just second before explosion. Seriously it was entertaining the first few thousand times, but now it is getting annoing. - Awkward (wannabefunny, wannabebadass, wannabesmart) characters. "PACIFIC RIM" The characters in this piece of **** was so bad, i just refuse to believe that the same guy who made Labirinto del fauno made this. - Misplaced Actors. Profesional soldier played by 20yearold 60kg hairstylemodel/emoguy or Fashionmodel annorectic girl. Well this is more of an issue with cartoons than normal films, but still bothers me. - Katanas. I maybe saw one or two Scifi with katana in it, that was somewhat OK. But in General, if there is Katana in SciFi, then the film is trash. - Putting Martial arts in scenes where shooting would fit more. This is not problem of only SciFi but almost every action film ever.

Apocalypse? no thanks. Iam happy with my life and have no desire to die. And dont try to tell me that you can survive for example zombie apocalypse, because you dont. Why? because: 1.Zombies. Een if they are slow and dumb they can still get you by chance. 2.Hunger. Are you skilled huntsman? Butcher? Vetrinary doctor? No? so you are going to die from hunger or disease you get from bad meat. Or worse, what if you are vegan? then you are totaly screwed. 3.Thirst. How much safe drinking watr you think youll find after few months? 4. minor infections. Without profesional medical treatment even stupid "cold" can turn into something deadly. 5. Other people. people will try to kill you for warious reasons, and they will do it most probably by surprise from behind, and prefarably while you sleep or while they allready managed to gain your trust. 6. injures. Selfexplanatory 7. Wild animals. imagine all those Dogs who suddenly lost theyr masters, lions and other wildlife escaping zoos, poisonous spiders and venomous snakes escaping theyr terraria.

I was living at an remote farm when i was kid back in 80´s. We had poweroutages a lot. Problem was that we had electrical waterpump, so when we had no power, we had no drinking water, no flushing toilet, no bath, no shower. But me and my brother liked it. because mother allways lit a lot of candels and father was telling scarry stories. It was allways fun. I was imaginating that we are stranded on an island.

People who didnt read the book did you understand whats going on in the film? Iam asking because i got impression that if i havent had read the book i would never understand whats going on in the film. Too much parts missing. Also if they ewer make films about the rest of the books in the series, they will not make any sense because there are parts of the bok that are not in the film that are important for understanding the entire storry.

Forget shields! Employ active countermeasures. Forexample lasers or projectile weapons that would vaporize the missile before it reaches your ship.

No matter if we were cause of extinction or not, We should definitelly bring back species that are essential for the ecosystem to work properly, or species that we could benefit from, and we shall not do it for not so essential species, unless we have so many resources ( for example money) that we can just waste it.

As hard as i try, i just cannot find any reason for existence of a Mech. What would the benefits be? Pros: It might carry huge weapons. Well one soldier with SOFLAM and longrange radio supported by longrange artillery, and one CAS plane or military satelite can do Hugeweapons strikes much better (he is small and not so easy to spott) and cheaper. have overviev of battlefield because its tall. Planes and satelites are better in that. and looks awesome. looking awesome is not really tactical advantage. Actually its better if you are not seen at all. Cons: Big easy target Too complicated. Either really fragile or too heavy for anything. I did play mechwarrior and i enjoyed it then, i tried Mechwarior online, it was fun too, I have read few Battletech books, And Robot Jox was one of my favorite films as a kid, but iam also a millitary freak. I play Arma alot, i used to play Airsoft when i still had time for it, iam still activelly involved in historical combat reananctment, and iam training with real pistols and Assault rifle twice a year. And in light of what i know about combat and tactics, mechs IRL doesnt make any sense to me. What make sense, is advanced comunication, aoutonomous drones, longrange missiles, and skilled, properly equipped forward observers. Also Powerarmor like in Fallout or in StarshipTroopers (the book) or Combat space suit like the ones in Alastair Reynold´s Revelation Space might be usefull, If they would be possible.
