A visual criticism of the Shuttle engine
spikeyhat09 replied to spikeyhat09's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Squad has said they dont want to do warp drives -
Im not trying to hark on squad or anything but I do feel an obligation to point out things that appear to be issues. at least with the hope that they receive a second look.

PSA: Engine exhausts are deadly now
spikeyhat09 replied to MalfunctionM1Ke's topic in KSP1 Discussion
only problem is you cant recover the spent stages for reusable programs. useless for SpaceX analogues (or at least they will be ) -
How I'll use it: How I'll feel while using it:

It's a single player game, so you can't cheat. That said, it is an achievement/accomplishment based game. If you go on the forums or to your buddies and brag about what you accomplished when a computer did some of it for you, thats not okay IMO. Basically its fine as long as you realize any accomplishments made using these tools are somewhat invalidated (unless of course you wrote the mod yourself, which *ahem* NASA did too)

Is this the longest ramp jump ever attempted in ksp?
spikeyhat09 replied to Roflcopterkklol's topic in KSP1 Discussion
jets and wings disqualify it imo. otherwise i could just build a 2m ramp with SRBs attached to the car pointing straight up and boom > > > ramp jumper achieves orbit -
"funds" is succinct and effective. puns based around "k" border on the line of cliche imo

would you mind explaining the purpose behind the italicized blue text -
Anyone else not really care for the career stuff?
spikeyhat09 replied to sedativechunk's topic in KSP1 Discussion
i actually really hate the whole science system for unlocking parts. its too grindy and tedious for me. i would much prefer something like a simple contract system where you can complete a specific objective and get a specific part/money reward. i doubt that will ever happen, but sandbox has been fun since day one anyway so im happy -
Do you play KSP with the Steam or the KSP Store version?
spikeyhat09 replied to CaptRobau's topic in KSP1 Discussion
why play ksp through drm when you can play it drm free? throw it on a flashdrive, play it at school. choosing steam over just a file download from the website is like willingly being put into a straight jacket -
many thanks. i figured it was normal/antinormal. that will come in great help when flying VTOLS

cargo bay question
spikeyhat09 replied to spikeyhat09's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
thank you for the responses. i look forward to my nesting dolls -
the responses to this poll annoy me. should be 1) constantly 2) frequently 3) occasionally 4) rarely 5) never

hi, im spikey, ive been around for a while (but i doubt you recognize me because im not particularly social on the forums anymore) i have a question (not sure if this is the right place to ask) is squad planning on adding cargo bays with controllable doors on the large and extra large size rocket parts in the future, now that we have them on spaceplanes? ive been wishing for the ablity to have a russian nesting doll of 1.25m, 2.5m and 3.5m rockets within each other

When you have confidence in all of these skills: reach circular kerbin orbit (including equatorial orbits, polar orbits, and inclined orbits) in a fuel-efficient manner perform powered landings on both atmospheric and non-atmospheric bodies in a fuel-efficient manner redezvous with another craft in a highly eccentric and relatively inclined orbit in a fuel-efficient manner perform interplanetary burns to both the outer (duna - eeloo) and inner (eve - moho) planets in a fuel-efficient manner any reliance on mechjeb for any of the above skills immediately invalidates your "expertise" IMO

well the biggest reason i use ksp store over steam is because school computers for some reason wont let steam service run, but i can install ksp from the zip file and play just fine. beyond that i like having my ksp folder in a more convenient place. there really is no reason to transfer since you can just add ksp as a non steam game and still use the overlay

i noticed neither an increase nor a decrease.. then again i dont have a 144 hz monitor so any fps above 60 goes unnoticed
