1. Dude, that's why you have caps lock on. and if you don't like it use a joystick
2. Untitled Spacecraft Rocket Projectile Spaceship S.S. Dolphin Hijacked Pain Plane Plain Pain Plain Plane
3. That is a very elliptical orbit... i try to make my periapsis/apoapsis no more than 300 meters apart
4. No point? i thought successful Kerboldives resulted in a bug that makes you go at like 20,000,000 m/s or something. did they fix that?
5. once i got a rocket (without exploiting the fuel bug) to venture within 2,000,000 meters of Kerbol. its speed at periapsis was like 180,000 m/s or something
6. Yes, but Minimus sounds closer to Minmus than Mimas Plus as cater said minimus means smallest, which well suits the tiniest body in the Kerbol System
7. I'm really hoping that the kerbolsystem(s) will be randomly generated, minus kerbin which should always be the starting point. the planets, distances from their star, and the star itself would be cool if it was random. just think, if two moons provide hours and hours of entertainment, imagine a multi planetary system and possibly multiple solar systems! the limit is literally beyond the sky!
8. I agree with this post 100%, and have felt this way ever since learning of mechjeb. its like learning to drive an automatic before stick-shift.
9. Yeah, looking at the rocket from underneath helps. frankly ever since the terrain overhaul I've had less-than-desirable performance.
10. You say its a shuttle, which implies its half plane, half spaceship. if you're using things like tailfins and winglets to stabilize your ship on the way up, they will become less and less effective the higher up you get. when your completely out of the atmosphere, your fins will just be dead weight. My guess is, your ship is unbalanced. Your fins and such keep it going straight on the way up, but as soon as you hit that point where they're no longer effective, your ship starts careening out of control. sound familiar? To fix this, I would redesign your shuttle so it is more or less symmetrical weight-wise, and balanced. Then again, I'm no expert
11. Not really "worry" per se, but more of just having fun thinking about it
12. My hypothesis: Kerbin is made of neutronium
13. One time I was flying a rocket, and when it was completely out of the atmosphere it randomly jiggled around and exploded. Still don't know why. I've heard of some people talking about a kraken and i think that's what happened maybe...
14. I think the planet should just be atmosphere. you just descend into thicker and thicker atmosphere until your ship can't handle the pressure and explodes
15. was lucky enough to get Kerbin, and the kerbolrise in this pic in my first successful 3 seat Mun landing
16. Yup, you where going way to fast when you hit the ground. try to land slower than 10 m/s, the slower the better. exploiting the fuel consumption bug (even accidentally) is sometimes better than crash landing. Also, try as hard as you can to kill your lateral (sideways) momentum. its much easier to land if you go straight down, rather than sideways. doing so risks tipping over, which usually dooms your chances of return. Try as best you can to judge how high up you are. I accomplish this by jettisoning the last stage before the lander, and seeing how far away i am from it when it explodes (only works if closer than 2.6 kilometers)
17. I think they should focus on actually finishing the game before they contemplate bringing it to other platforms
18. I think it happens when the 1200 thrust of the new engine "crushes" the wimpy new decoupler, which despite being bigger, has the same specs as the old on. I can usually fix this for my rockets by putting 2 decouplers on top of each other
19. Yeah, what would happen if minmus crashed into KSC? game over? You have to buy another copy of KSP?
20. Or i wonder if walking around on a planet with enough gravity would hurt them D:
21. Probably the same way NASA does...wait for Kerbin and the planet of choice to line up, then launch. Sounds difficult, but changing your Kerbol orbit requires a LOT of fuel. Unless they add some parts better suited for interplanetary travel (or fail to fix the fuel consumption bug ), I think its simply too inefficient to do anything but the "point and shoot" method. Much more complicated of course
