Well, yeah. It's Star Wars. Chasing princesses and breaking the laws of physics since 1977.

Why on Earth should I feel worse only because I have a few mods that actually fix the game and make it playable?

Ooooooooooh! I actually did the same with IntakeAir as the main resource instead of Ore and was trying to make it work in other atmospheres too. Your explanation actually helped a lot. Thanks!

Exploration Accolades
Wjolcz replied to The_Rocketeer's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I don't agree. Any modification to the current system will result in an avalanche of "tweaks" the next few micro updates after the main feature gets added. It's happened many times before. What has to happen is an update giving the players a free hand of what they want to do and in what order, not more eye candy. The current career is a "do [contracts] or die" scenario. Not only that but you also have the tech tree which is all over the place. These two things limit the gameplay in a major way, simply because you have to first accumulate enough resources (funds and tech) to have a choice of what kind of exploration you want to perform next. But by that time you are already done with the tree and since many people consider the game "beaten" by then so why shouldn't you? In a game where you gather reputation only the freedom of deciding of what to do next is much more apparent. And it is like that from the start. Contracts and science points as the only things that propell the progression really need to go. -
Delegation / Rival Space programmes
Wjolcz replied to Qwarkk's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Any time-passing mechanic would be very much welcome in the game. I like @tater's idea. It could be coupled with station spawning events (something Contract Configurator can do IIRC). A premade station would spawn in Kerbin's orbit (or any other as long as it's something sane; not retrograde solar or sth like that) and you would have a mission to help expanding it, or build your own. And cooperation should be rewarded more than rivalry. At least in my opinion. -
But at the same time Rogue One deals with the "what kind of moron makes a super weapon with a weak spot" part of the saga. IMO that nicely evens out these plot sins.
-
I thought this thread was about unmanned flying machines, not semantics.
-
Well, that ending kind of ruins the "Many Bothan spies..." sentence from 'A New Hope', but it was worth it IMO. Can't avoid few plot holes when making sequels (I know it's not a sequel but I lack a better word for it, ok?).

Just came from back from the cinema. I agree that it was better than E:VII. I was promised a not "black-and-white" story and I think they delivered it very nicely. It's probably my favourite story-wise Star Wars movie so far.

Done! Thanks a ton! The ISRU now converts IntakeAir and EC into XenonGas. Now, I want to do something more complicated. I want to be able to harvest IntakeAir from all the atmospheres except for Kerbin. How I understand it: If I change the "checkForOxygen = true" to "false" the intakes will be able to collect IntakeAir, but it will also make jet engines work on Eve and Duna. And I don't want that. I want jets to work on Kerbin and Laythe and use all the atmospheres to turn IntakeAir into XenonGas (except for Kerbin). Uhhhh... It's complicated if I want to make it balanced somehow.

Just what the title says. I want to make profit from my miners. If there's isn't one I'll try to make it myself though I've never coded a single thing during my life time. If you know of any other mod like that which works with stock parts and resources please let me know.

Hardest or near impossible contracts, you've gotten.
Wjolcz replied to Dooz's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The problem is the game doesn't know it would crash because the objectives are always random (with a few exceptions). -
How should I phrase this?
Wjolcz replied to Matuchkin's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I guess we all have different reasons of why we get bored with KSP. I get bored when I play stock career. It's all about unlocking them parts. I don't want to do that. I want to explore. KSP's exploration aspect is rather lacking. You don't have any mission planning tools (launch window alarms and such), the contracts are random and you can unlock the tree before the first launch window occurs. Heck, you can even unlock it the first few hours of game time by setting the science yield to the maximum values and drive around KSC. Or cheat it in. Not much difference between these two ways of unlocking the tree and "beating the game". -
A lot of valid arguments here. So I guess the main topic here should be more about new power sources (like wind turbines) in KSP. But we've had a thread like this in the recent past. Sooo... Close the thread?

Why does everyone think KSP is not going well.
Wjolcz replied to nascarlaser1's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I don't hate KSP. It's an awesome game. The only thing I hate about it is the career mode. And the lack of info, but I can mod that in. Changing the way career works seems to be pretty hard though (I have to use several mods and it still makes me deal with science points). -
Choo-choo! No. They were hella ugly. Almost as hideous as the rocket parts and MK2-3 command pod, but they can at least be attached with other types via adapters, unlike the choo-choo train.

Hardest or near impossible contracts, you've gotten.
Wjolcz replied to Dooz's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Eheheh. 90% of contracts are laughable. The only ones I do are the milestones/world's firsts, the rover driving ones for fun and high-G/suborbital tourism for the rep (I might start doing Kerbin space hotel tours once I get these offered). I don't even bother trying to search for anything else. -
Is there anything the game lets you do that you won't?
Wjolcz replied to Red Shirt's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I can launch the materials science bay whatever thing. But I won't. -
