  1. I'm looking forward to seeing how that turns out. Thanks! The current design does suffer from low-carriage (don't run over any sudden bumps!) but my landing spots have thankfully been flat plains or gentle slopes.
  2. Designed a light-weight crane-rover to move base modules about on the Mun. Worked perfectly.
  3. In the great green field, there was a white, rising plume, and a spinning Nav ball, pointing up to the Mun. There rose a wobbly gray rocket that was raining down sprockets, and there were too many stages with red flashing gauges. There was a slow RCS turn and a really long burn, there was Jeb, Bob, and Bill, screaming from orbit to a hill. There was thrust and a gray gust, as a lander kicked up dust. There was a ladder and some boots, and three kerbals in their suits. And a bright Kerbol glare rising over the buttes. Goodnight field. Goodnight Mun. Goodnight Jeb, flying up to the Mun. Goodnight Nav Ball and the white, rising plume. Goodnight stages and goodnight gauges. Goodnight turn and goodnight burn. Goodnight Bob, Jeb, and Bill, goodnight orbit and goodnight hill. Goodnight thrust, goodnight gust, and goodnight lander, kicking up dust. Goodnight ladder and goodnight boots Goodnight spaceship and kerbals in space suits Goodnight stars and Kerbol's glare Goodnight Kerbals everywhere
  4. I bought some of those blank vinyl figures for my son to play with. He colored his like Optimus Prime, naturally. I chose a different character.
  5. Updated image. Could be better. Ah well, moving on.
  6. Sure, why not. A road could be extended out from the pad to the water. The idea is that each area attached to a road is a construction spot, so anyone could click and build a structure wherever they wanted.
  7. I agree. it\'s still missing the continuous stream of light that outlines the coast, and strings of lights connecting huge population centers. Still working on that version.
  8. Thanks guys for the kind words. @Shedao Yes, I imagine it\'s for recovery/recycling of anything that parachutes safely away during launch...or falls off before takeoff. @thorfinn I guess there\'s no harm in a 50cm command pod. I think the parachute part is about that diameter to begin with. For the space center geometry, that\'s just playing with the crop-circle motif similar to what Planet 51 did. I have a version that\'s hexagonal and one that\'s more random, but I liked how this one fit with KSP\'s current launch pad. Plus it would look cool from orbit.
  9. This version has them at 41cm but the helmets top them out at 43-44cm. Thanks Squeal. Not sure what I\'m going to do next. I thought of moving on from comparisons to other types of diagrams. We shall see!
  10. Scale of Human and Kerbal crew and spacecraft
  11. How Kerbin measures up to Jupiter
  12. Just got my preorder confirmation email. Thanks!
  13. Modified a few NASA logos for kicks.
  14. I also pre-ordered on Aug 12 and got the paypal email, but I did not receive the follow-up confirmation email either. I've been checking all my email accounts and spam folders but still nothing yet.
  15. lol. Sure, if you like. But he's only 8 years old and doesn't have the patience to watch the spacecraft go out that far.
  16. Thanks. I don't mind at all. @Kosmo - correct!
