[0.21+] Kosmos Spacecraft Design Bureau: Updated (9/27/13)
NuclearWarfare replied to Normak's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Like I said earlier, I think smaller crew containers would be great . The large (Which is the only one) is overwhelming. -
Returned from a 7year, 308day mission

You make the most "Kerbal" and strange (I mean this in a good way. An awesome way.) craft I've ever seen. Frank is a beast of a rover. -

Great mod pack which I love, but can I suggest smaller crew containers? I find the big one overwhelming. -

That looks quite amazing. -
Research, How is it going to be Handled?
NuclearWarfare replied to Nimbus's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Some of you aren't putting into consideration the fact that you are running the whole space program. You choose your missions (If you have the skills and money needed) to a certain planet with a certain goal. Exploration, Mining, Drilling, etc. I don't like the idea of a set base of missions. Many of the members have done much and don't want to be placed in an order of missions. -

I hope people start using this new one and not the old one. -
Hello! I'm sure this question has been asked many times before. During downtime, I tried finding the answer, but since the forums were down I could not see the answer, and now the revert has them gone. Sometimes I'll click to download something in the spaceport but it will not download. It just keeps loading.

Thank you for the approval, Ted. I wasn't sure if it was needed, but I jumped at the chance for a big thread like such, haha. Here is my Mun Base Alpha! Ran by Commander Bobbald Kerman, the base currently holds two kerbals. Sadly, the custom lunar buggy had an issue with its wheels, and suffered critical damage in a crash over rough terrain. A new Lunar base is in its concept stage and will we built with second-hand ancient Soviet parts that the kerbals found in a bunker somewhere in what they don't know as Russia. -
Hello! Since the last thread for screenshots is gone due to the revert, lets make this one our current screenshots. Please make galleries for a large quantity of screenshots so they don't clog up the page and make screenshots take longer to load! Here are some rules layed out in the old thread (because Skunky tells it best!): F1 takes screenshots in game. Only post pictures in spoiler tags if they are over 1920x1080. (This is an exception to the rules and approved by the staff) This is a screenshot thread so a 56k warning is a given. Uploading your pictures first to an online host like imgur, photobucket, etc is preferred. Try to take screens at the maximum resolution you can run KSP at. F2 allows you to hide the HUD. Some(but not all) pictures like environment shots look better without it. In .14 the middle mouse button will allow you to pitch and yaw on the camera's axis instead of the central point Chronological montages from cool missions are welcome!

I voted for Bill, because he's the reason all your ships get in the air. All the failures are Jeb.

I'm very happy to announce this. Its only been two weeks since I made it to the Mun, and now I conquered Minmus in one attempt! Again, Bill was the Kerbal on this trip in the Munabu module. Though a longer trip, I still have almost half a tank of fuel left, and when I'm ready, I will get in low orbit for a nice space station that can still land if I were to spot anything interesting, or be ready to head back home. Without further ado, here is the first picture of the landing. Here is the landing zone. Bill is the man! I'll probably end up sending a cart to Minmus next. Don't know where after.... Maybe Duna!

Golden Orbit Awards. KSP community awards.

I think a good category would be Rookie of the year. -
Don't fret. My missions usually take me a minimum of one failure till I get it right.

Its been a few weeks since Bill landed on the Mun. My next mission was to land a cart on the Mun for some scientific research (And by research I mean backflips... For Science!) Again, I would be using my trusty Munabu module to get me there. Proud Bob was going to get his fame. Jebediah stranded him in the ocean. So without question, Jeb got his chance. With almost no fuel left to spare, we got the craft on a smooth hill. Next problem was getting the cart off the rocket without failing the mission. With ease, Jeb scooted his cart off the rocket and drifted to the ground below. Jeb is expected to stay on the Mun for a while. We packed his minifridge full of Kerban Dew and snack cakes, so he sure will have fun doing countless backflips (for science) and looking for easter eggs.

Cyclone Aero-Labs (Request-a-plane)
NuclearWarfare replied to NuclearWarfare's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hey there guys. I'm sorry for the inactivity; Life comes first. Anyways, I'm not accepting any more workers since the group isn't getting any service.. -
Wait wait, what would look awesome is a small asteroid with a fourth of it slammed off in its orbit like something split it in two.
-
I would think it was amazing to have a planet with a moon that has an orbit very small around it, and if you are in the middle of the two when you land on it, your ship will get transferred to the other after hovering between the two for about a minute

The Story of my First Mun Landing
NuclearWarfare replied to NuclearWarfare's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think its great that my first landing was spot on with nothing broken off. I'm seeing a lot of people needing to EVA out of the ship because they ran out of fuel or couldn't stop it quick enough. -
The Story of my First Mun Landing

I don't think it will need much tuning. Once I practice some more I won't use up so much fuel on landing -
The Story of my First Mun Landing
NuclearWarfare replied to NuclearWarfare's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The rocket used called Munabu (Moon-a-boo) is about 27 parts. I don't have enough skill to make a rocket that gets an orbit around Kerbin before it goes to the Mun, so the previous stage only gets the lander half way, and the lander uses an eighth of its fuel to get into the Mun's gravitational pull -
The most nervous thing for me is when I have a challenge. I've played KSP for around 3 months, and I never made it to the Mun. About a week ago, I finally had a craft capable of getting to the Mun. I fully understand how to get to planets now, and I haven't ever landed properly in the scenarios, so it was a huge accomplishment when I was able to fix the problem of my lander toppling over, though nothing was damaged. All the Youtube vids came to my head, and I did the Landing gear trick and flipped my craft into the air, being able to reland, perfectly. Bill stepped off the One-man capsule and had a great time using up all his Jetpack fuel looking for stuff, though nothing interesting was found in the huge crater. I don't have enough fuel to get back, so I think my next mission will be a rescue by Bob and Jeb. (Though coincidence, its very awesome how I landed at 9:29 on 9/29/12.
