  1. Sorry, Updated OP with dropbox links Kind Regards Angus
  2. Hi Justin I don't think there is a scale issue, I think it is only the node that is in the wrong place. An easy fix in the cfg file. (post a link for the parts if you are still stuck and I'll try to fix it) I really like the flat bottom shape for spaceplanes and have been looking for something like this. Looking forward to trying this out. EDIT: May I suggest adding and adapter the same shape as the intake part, but without the intakes?
  3. This is nifty, highly recommended, along with the rest of the TT stuff. Should be a vanilla feature IMO Thanks TT
  4. I made a skylon replica in version 0.18. This is the only picture I have. http://i.imgur.com/cx7MGMN.png Lessons learned: angle your engines, it helps, especially on takeoff. use the fuel from the rear tank first, keep all the weight forward use OMS to circularize. Main engines only used in atmosphere. Good luck with this!, looking forward to watching your progress.
  5. I'm looking forward to these! May I suggest a set of micro tracks....tiny ones that would not look out of place stuck on the side of the smallest probe core as an alternative to the smallest stock wheels? Now excuse me while I drool at those new models! and thanks for all your effort.
  6. Austin, If you can demonstrate your idea, and it is a reasonable idea, people on the forum will help. I would suggest creating simple 3d models to get your project off the ground. If its a good enough idea, who knows what might happen! Here is a link to my first project that grew into a team of 3 to produce a reasonably popular KSP rover mod. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/34014-WIP-Rover-RollKage?highlight=rollkage Don't be put off, go for it!
  7. We added oversized wheels as it fitted in with with the kerbal design standards, like the oversized helmets on their oversized heads. The Rollkage Kerchelin Extreme, rescaled to 70% looks neat and tidy alongside the rollkage parts. Very easy to do and a great starting point for anyone interested in modding parts for themselves. I'm pretty sure those wheels on Kenobi McCormicks excellent van are by Zitronen, the same chap who set up the RollKage Kerchelin wheels.
  8. That would be cool. Lots of amazing stuff out there that would be cool to add in, but don't hold your breath guys. It'll be a while before anything else is added.
  9. You are welcome Xzabath. I hope you like the new parts. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/rollkage-mk2-testpack1-ksp0-23/
  10. Yes, brilliant isn't it? I will of course seek permission before I do that.
  11. I am sorry guys. Real life in general is taking over for me at the moment ( Kids, Christmas shopping, the missus, etc....) I will put a test version of the new cage up tonight for you to try out. It only has temporary colliders for now so it might be a bit fiddly. I would like to add: front and back nodes as requested ability to change textures with gui different shapes of the extender part Large fuel tank for the wide rollcage I will add these as time allows. Again, sorry about keeping you waiting.
  12. Stray components are a high possibility, if its all working fine at your end I'm sure its something I've done. I'll install it again.
  13. Mihara, unless I have installed wrong, I think you might be missing some code in the example MFD folder. I converted button 7 to use the alcor external cams as per your instructions. I can only get it to work by adding background = camera I can't get scansat working on it either, but I have not looked at that yet.
  14. I love the landing skid...love the biplane, the new IVA prop is excellent. I came here to request a high visibility ww2 era cockpit for IVA flying, but I see you have a few projects already on the go and might be a bit busy. Anyway, should you get the chance. 15. Nice part. Very similar concept to this.. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/49191-18th-November-b-Probes-Stack-bays-and-Structures
  16. KOS programs can detect action group buttons, so a monitor with five action group buttons either side could be used to control a KOS program. Kinda like the menu driven software used on a high street cash machine.
  17. No problem. I think you have misunderstood what I mean by 'cost'
  18. Exactly this. Also, the player should have to work a bit for tech like this. Sure you can make kerbal life easy with this lander, you have already made IVA flight 90% more do-able, but there should be a cost for this. I do however agree that the electricity side of KSP is messed up a bit and might be best left alone. I find adding solar panels and batteries in KSP is something you have to do rather than something you have to think about.
  19. Brilliant. There should be a downside to using hi tech parts, and losing all your flight instruments is one hell of a downside. May I ask your reason for wanting the pod to consume no power? I was going to suggest scaling power consumption with instrument usage so precious energy could be conserved if required. I would imagine that all this hardware would also generate a fair amount of heat, which would be neat to add should Squad implement the mechanics soonTM.
  20. Excellent update! It would be a nice touch to make the screens go blank if the power fails. Perhaps thats been suggested elsewhere in the thread, and you guys are already thinking it over but regardless, this is amazing work and I can't wait to see where its going next. Thanks for the best lander in KSP.
  21. First of all, thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. Tommygun, I am sure your transport museum is doing well, I hope the new parts will make the grade! I gained permission a while ago to add KAS tech to this parts pack. I might take this idea up, but I would like to learn to animate the part before I do this, so I can have an opening lid. What I really want to use KAS for is making a pack away shelter (tent?) that fits on the back and can be taken off and deployed, but I don't have the skills. I agree with both of you, a longer extender for coolness, but sideways tipping is a bigger problem for me in KSP than flipping. Wide wheelbase+ low center of gravity. Thanks guys! In real life I have been busy moving house (boring) AND having my first real life flying lesson (I have to get back up there ASAP! Brilliant!) Electricfox is too busy to help out, and Zitronen has other stuff to be getting on with (but he has offered to help with any plugin work or setting up wheels) So, its me only at the moment and progress hasn't been great. I'm not quitting though, just busy with other stuff that needs done. It'll take a while. As the last screenshot had a military theme, I thought for balance I would make a screenshot more suited to the superior gender of our species. I would not want to appear sexist in any way and I'm not suggesting that ladies are not interested military stuff, but having said that, I would like to present the prototype for the rear wide extender, in HOT PINK!.....just look at all that room for the shopping!
  22. I have just had the most immersive gameplay I have experienced in KSP with this part. Beautiful inside and out. We will need a flight manual with so many fantastic functions! Thank you for sharing this.
  23. Well...I'll give it a go and see how it works. Fell free to tinker with the cfg's and add your own in the meantime.
  24. More bits done. Some of you might not like the military look, but others will probably love it. There will of course be the usual array of bright colour (like the OLD rollkage)....possibly a shiny one too. Single seater version remade with panniers and fuel tanks. Still some polishing to do. I suck at unwrapping and texturing, so back to basic colours again. New Single seat rollkage stripped of parts WideKage and extenders almost ready too All working as it should (so far!) Although, Bill might not agree.. I'll start a new development thread (instead of bumping this) as soon as I have new stuff ready to show.
