Showcase: Kraken Drives
andrew123 replied to Comrade Jenkens's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I tried that on a research vessel (pictures went out with the old laptop) and it is nearly impossible to control. Also, a tribute to the ship that I have to recreate on my new computer. -

I will continue to add and expand as time goes by. Su-33/35 Some of the best looking 4-4.5 gen fighters I know of. They are very nimble and are best flown with sas on. All fighters are made to be as accurate as possible. Canards were used only like the real life counterparts have done. That inspires me to do a large replica. I might actually get to test out my new pc soon. Also, enjoy those 18 rep pnts.

I bet I could also recreate that plane using some elements from my sabre and broadsword:

Showcase: Kraken Drives
andrew123 replied to Comrade Jenkens's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Sigh... computer still out of action, until I get time to assemble my desktop, and many exams next week. At least I think private school is fun. :) Also, I want to post that k drive warship, but I have to rebuild it since my hd was fried with the old laptop. More technical power issues. -
[SHOWCASE] The Escape Tower Exchange!
andrew123 replied to sal_vager's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
The UNSC does not condone the use of escape towers, but the prototype ODST pods as a vessel full of kerbals falls screaming towards a shield world. The top rocket is just for the trial and error phase. -
Cute f-15... But it is pretty cool. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/60229-F-15B-With-An-AMRAAM-120X-1

"Two stage" missile system (WEAPON)
andrew123 replied to Mareczex333's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I used to love the atmosphere of Kerbin, but after a while I got bored and started to make space fighters. Kerbal space missiles have some interesting glitches when made to be guided to the target, although it would be funny in KSP multiplayer to see your KSP wingman in space being blown to bits while his missile is still seeking its target to death. -
One of ONI's black projects. Major changes have occurred to both the ships and frigates since this post to increase ship length to about 2.2 km. The Infinity is also progressing along. This is just the bottom section for the frigates. 0_o

"Two stage" missile system (WEAPON)
andrew123 replied to Mareczex333's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I still like my Kerbal guided maneuverable supersonic Archer missiles for long range strikes, although I haven't been able to test them with the recent re balancing. Your missiles are pretty awesome when it comes to quick attack runs. -
3204: Not long after the emergence of so called jedis, a new breed of mystics rise to power. Called psykers, they are received with open arms by the rest of the progressive kerbal society, which has now expanded to include millions of planets colonized through harnessing the power of the warp kraken. A new breed of working automatons are also unveiled and are called the Kerbals of Iron, and are also built across the galaxy after Kerbals and their STC artificial intelligences receive the blueprints.

Post monolith incident report, filed by the Office of Naval Intelligence Section 2 on Jool station Beta. The dominant government at this point is the United Kerbal Space Command, which is desperate to rediscover the mystically legendary kraken ftl jump drive. OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE/SECTION 2 EYES ONLY REPORT - A340021 0821 HOURS, AUGUST 12, 3192 CLASSIFIED TOP-SECRET COMM-SCRIBED/PTS 9386-9 00834-19223-HS//ADM PARANGOSKY, MARGRET OLIANDA 00230-00923-MP//VADM STANFORTH, HIRONYMOUS MICHAEL Year 3182: As resources on Kerbin shrank, Kerbal kind became desperate enough to turn to mega corporations to fund Jool Station Alpha to mine for much needed helium 3 in their fusion power experiments and other fusion research. The newly opened station was taken over by Kerbal rebels calling themselves Friedens, based on the planet Duna. Captain Cole Jebediah, an ancestor of renown astronaut Jebediah Kerman, successfully boarded the station and singlehandedly defeated the rebels, albeit indirectly, by deorbiting the station into the gas giant Jool, costing his own life, and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for recognition. I used to have a 2670qm and a 6770m, but that laptop was fried due to hp and their crappy motherboard capacitors along with my msi and evga overclocking antics. I now have a fx 6300 and a 2 gb evga nvidia gtx 760 sc, and I will soon get a ssd if I have to in order to complement my cas 9 1600 mhz dual channel 8gb ram and dell e228 1050p display that I currently have. Old prices die hard. http://www.memory4less.com/m4l_itemdetail.aspx?itemid=1443221325&partno=BFGE981024GTGE&rid=90&origin=pla&gclid=CKTs_9m95rwCFU1bfgodxSkAlQ http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i7-990X-Extreme-Processor/dp/B004NRQDQQ/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1393304681&sr=1-8&keywords=core+i7+extreme

I finally got a good design for my odst pods. The new propulsion system is awesome. -
Harnessing the Kraken: Eeloo in 11 hours!
andrew123 replied to Comrade Jenkens's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I used have a laptop with a powerful i7 along with a 6770m (wimpy, I know, but I also have 8 gb of ram mixed with a 1 tb hdd which were also fried when my hp laptop decided to have a psu overload while in sleep mode), and I managed to get a warship to over 180000 m/s... but I think it depends on the type of "warp drive" you make. I can easily imagine using my drive for extreme acceleration, but using it to slow down may be a terrible idea... but my drives exploit a "perfect clipping" bug in the game. -
Harnessing the Kraken: Eeloo in 11 hours!
andrew123 replied to Comrade Jenkens's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I finally found the secret sauce behind making a powerful slipspace drive, and it seems to increase exponentially with each application. I may be able to go to speeds measured in lightyears if this drive decides to meet projections... Ion engines also actually multiply the effect if applied in certain ways. (Hint: the secret involves clipping... lots of clipping.) -
Harnessing the Kraken: Eeloo in 11 hours!
andrew123 replied to Comrade Jenkens's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Hmm... I managed to slightly stabilize my slipspace drive, but have started to make anti gravity drive unsc ships. I need to make it more stable though before testing with larger ships. -

I wish I could release my slipspace drive, but the rather kraken prone track record makes it a rather dangerous idea... I guess ships indeed need gellard fields. -
Lefora just crashed on me and deleted all of my writing... curse it. :( And I wrote it again: http://kerbalnations.lefora.com/topic/38#.UvMqs_ldWSp

http://www.duffelblog.com/2014/02/f35-delays-sentience/#ixzz2sTh60t8c That's right... SKYNET!!! XD But on a serious note, do you think that robots should be able to decide when to kill? Please discuss your opinions here. http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2014/01/24/lethal_autonomy_killer_robots

I have another slipspace drive, and may be able to recreate the phenomena in space like this: Also... everytime I come near success, the precursor-made kraken eats my forerunner-based slipspace drive. I guess non-crystal mediated slipspace travel is dangerous. -
